Decide to go here on our way back to Raleigh and I wanted to try their OM cheeseburger witch is on their 2 for 25 menu. Separately this costs 14.99 do on the 2 for 25 we got two of these burgers and an order of mozzarella sticks. A much better value for the money. This burger was over the top delicious. Burlington, NC Applebees 7/1/2026 20 min wait to get a drink & place food order. There was a sign on wall advertising $1 Dollaritas. I ask if the advertised margarita came in flavors. Waitress said yes. I ordered 2, one for my guest. Then waited 15 min for drink followed by a 30 min wait for food to arrive. Ordered 2 more flavored margaritas. Finished dinner. Check arrived for over $70. Waitress admitted she did not tell us flavored margaritas were full price. Talked to manager, waitress was standing there & admitted that she had not said anything about the much higher cost of the drinks I ordered. Managers said "that's too bad". You got like five people in the back, talking, not attending to the people.. like the waiters didn't care and on top of that. The 1 star is for the waitress that was super kind and sincere. Im enjoying my burger when i look down and see 2 black dots looking at me. Yeah, it took about 1 minute to realize why we don't go to Applebee's. We were immediately greeted by a hostess/manager chewing out a waitress in the entry area. The waitress ended up being our waitress and was completely flustered the entire time. She couldn't pay attention to anything being said to her. We were dining at this Applebee's for lunch and one of the waitresses was wearing tights for leggings and you could see her butt threw them. It was so gross to see her walk by while we were eating. I understand that a lot of businesses are getting a little less formal with their uniforms, but this was unacceptable in a dining establishment. I love eating at Applebee's ... each one I go to has very great service and excellent food . But this one my mash potatoes were cold when they came out ... my salad had no dressing on it and my steak wasn't done it was almost rare and I asked for well done... also my waitress (forgot her name) took a very long time refilling my drink bringing my order out to me (so it was cold like it's been sitting for a while) and to give me change back. I always tip way over than I'm suppose to because of the service but tonight I tipped under because of how the waitress treated me. I feel sort of bad but also I got bad service. I have a nenewed enjoyment of Applebee's. Their menu has changed. The wait staff and managers are much more attentive and I love their under 550 calorie dishes. They have 5 to choose from. From sirloin to chicken to shrimp. Just the right amount without feeling too full. They have a new rosemary chicken pasta dish that Vickie adores.
