Horrible service. Receptionist seats us and says the server will be right with us. Sat there for 10 minutes watching people behind us coming in and getting seated and get service right away. I go up to the receptionist and tell him we didn't get a server. He says he talked to her and she'll be right with us. The table next to us who came in behind us already got water, got drinks from the bar, and ordered food and we still can't get service. I talked to the manager and told her we can't even get acknowledged or water. We packed up the grandkids and we left, never getting served. Horrible service! Not going back! read more

I gotta say, Applebee's seems to be a default when you're looking for a day to eat out at. It almost always seems like a good bet for a group like ours. That or maybe we're zombified to the greasy allure of burgers, I dunno. Regardless, we decided to stop in on the Applebee's in Brighton just before the lunch rush. The server Aracely was on top of it for us, making sure we had everything and even a special request for sauce. So tried the new chicken sandwich menu myself, and the food was none too spicy, but holy dollars it was pipin' hot fresh from the fryer. Definitely a bonus, here. read more

We're from Fresno, CA. We wanted something very lowkey and away from all the mess of people who were out on a saturday night. We found the perfect spot and so comfortable there. We went in and there were not a lot of people and it was amazing. We ordered a lot of food and it was so tasty. It was quick to come out and our server was amazing. Never coming here again. Placed an online order at 5:45pm, order said it will be ready at 6:19. When I finally got my food it was 6:35 but I got the wrong order. Waiters and waitresses sitting around doing nothing , when I finally got my order it was 7pm. My food was cold ice cream was melted. Another Great Location!! This Applebee's is another great location for this chain of restaurants. I visited this location while in the area for business since it was close to my hotel. The staff were great, and I was seated right away. I ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup, and the 8 ounce Top Sirloin, cooked medium-rare. My plate also had loaded mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. I also had a local craft beer that was on tap. Another good experience at Applebee's and a testament as to why I keep coming back to this chain when I'm travelling. This apple bees opens till late on the weekend and that is a big plus for me. Honestly, the food is ok. We had the Alfredo pasta with Shrimp and Fried shrimp with Mash potatoes. The food was great but nothing special. I totally recommend this place if you want a late night dinner. read more

I'm sitting at my table staring at the quarter of my steak that is straight gristle and wondering the dollar amount I paid for just that inedible portion . I shouldn't expect better since while waiting for the food the same server spilled someone else's food on the floor it splattered and actually hit me. When she came back to clean up the floor she asked the gentleman across (who didn't get splattered) if he was ok. Didn't even look at me or ask. The waitress who took our order asked me if broccoli and mashed potatoes was ok with my steak I said yes, when the food came with no veggie I asked politely about the broccoli and was rudely argued with that I was wrong. I said, "well she told me I got broccoli" she then said "well I guess I'll get you a side of broccoli then" nope you won't sorry I asked where something I was told came with my meal didn't. Well we went last night to have the all you can eat wings and ribs and we had a really great server Rochelle who was friendly and attentive. We didn't have to ask for the drink refill she was on it 100%. We were very happy with her and the food, I know I will go back and request Rochelle again because that was probably the Best experience we've had at Applebee's in years. It's always a hit or miss with this location. You either have excellent service or you hardly see your server during your visit. The food is always on point though and hot! Waiting on your food never last long thank you to the kitchen crew who are always on point at getting food out and cooking it to perfection every time. I do wish they offered call ahead as most times I have a group of 10 and would like to reserve the round booth table but sadly that is not an option. I am giving this a '4' mostly for the food. I've never done a Applebee's and was quite pleased (and really, a little surprised) how good everything tasted. I had a whiskey burger, wifey had a pasta bowl. We shared a spinach-artichoke dip that was delicious. (On the other hand, what's not to like about sodium!) Now, service wasn't poor - and I don't expect Ruth's Chris level of service at a family restaurant - but it was a tad slow and lackluster. We will definitely go again, perhaps eat at the bar which both my wife and I tend to prefer. read more

Visiting my sister and decided to come here on a Sunday evening. Mark was fantastic. Our original margaritas had no taste of alcohol and he swapped them for the on the rocks version that he personally made himself. The chips and salsa that came free w/our margarita purchase were ok but salsa was to chunky for our liking. Pretzels w/beer batter cheese was really good. Ate it all up. We go to this Applebee's often. Usually we order the same thing, the oriental chicken salad. The food and drinks are good and reasonably priced. Our waiter is Joe who has been there many years. The other day we went in and it was a Friday around 3 PM and the restaurant was busy but they only had one waitress working. Her name is Nannette. Nannette is also very experienced and fabulous! Although she was tending to every table in the restaurant, she delivered food on time and with a smile. She is absolutely a gem! When we go back, we will ask for her, even though, she seems to be working the entire restaurant. The management needs to get more wait staff, particularly for a Friday and on the weekends. Other than that food and drinks are incredible and Nannette is the absolute best!! read more

So this establishment boasts, your neighborhood grill. But honestly we've been th Applebees a couple of times in the last 6 months and honestly it's just getting harder and harder to find something simple to eat on the menu. Some ppl might refer to what I'm talking about as comfort food. But it seems like thier trying to be a upper scale restaurant instead of good old Applebees and I'm talking about the days of " All you can eat riblets" with bottomless fries. I had a full slab of baby back ribs that came with a choice of 2 sides which included a selection of 4 choices which 2 potato selections, you could choose from 4 other choices but you had to pay extra for. Even if you got a baked potatoes you had to pay extra for the loaded part. Soft drinks were around $2.80 ea. Dinner for 3 ran just under $70 and honestly I would have rather went to a IHOP and spent 1/2 the price for a much larger variety and had dessert . By far the absolute worst staff/customer service. I had a server leave for the night and not say anything to me... I had to get up and go looking for someone to ask to order more food/drinks. That's when I was notified the server should've told me he was leaving. Last time I went in, I sat at the bar and couldn't get anyone to acknowledge me for nearly 5 min. Once I was acknowledged, I tried three times to tell the bartender what I wanted, while another server interrupted me by shouting over my shoulder at the bartender while she was clearly busy with me. I got up and left. The servers have a table they sit at to the right of the bar where sit and gobble food and loudly "hang out". The food is ok, sometimes skimpy but more or less ok. read more

Said to pick up at 6:06 but I had to wait there for 20 minutes extra and I was missing a drink and didn't realize till I got home.

I was going to start this review by just saying to not order curbside because I arrived 5 mins after they told me to and then waited 20 minutes after that. Then I got back to the hotel and found that they didn't give me any utensils as requested, but they also didn't give me any Blue cheese including the extra one that I ordered and payed for. Me and my family had decided we wanted to try Applebees after years of not attending. The hostess sat us down and was very nice. We all sat there for over 40 minutes just for an introduction and even a drink! Waiters passed by left and right. Even on the little tablet they have, we requested a server and still nothing! I just watched the manager and bartender playing around at the bar because of something happening earlier. The bartender took his hand into the ice grabbed a bunch like he was going to throw it at the manager and then started eating it. Then instead of dumping the ice he kept serving drinks out of the well. So unbelievably gross. Thank god I'm not drinking anything with ice . Then bartender decide to use the soda gun to play as a water gun to spray the waitresses. Extremely unprofessional and gross having his fingers on everything after handling cash. Ordered 6 oz sirloin medium rare. My order was delivered by another member (believe it was a manager who asked if I needed anything else). My sirloin was overdone and dry. My wait staff did not check up on how things were nor did she check to see if I wanted dessert. She just brought me my receipt. I would hope some additional training would occur to make the guest feel like they had been welcomed to dine that day and in the future.
