I had dinner here early last Friday evening. I don't like to give a bad review but the appetizer I ordered was Honey Barbecue and what I got was boneless hot-wings. I know I should have said something then but didn't want to complain in front of my guests. When the ribs arrived - cold & looking like they'd set out on the counter all day, I knew it was too late. Discussing it with others on the drive home, I discovered mine was a common disappointment shared by all. Needless to say, we won't go back here again, and I cannot in any way recommend eating at this Applebee's restaurant. Other Applebee's may be fine, and there was a huge crowd waiting at the door when we left, that I can only imagine that these people have low standards and there's not many other places to eat nearby. Always dependable. Always reasonably priced. Always great service in recent months. (They had some service issues a while back, but they've thankfully fixed any service problems ... My family just ate here and was very disappointed. We waited over 1 1/2 hour for our food and got no drink refills. The one meal we order was nothing but pasta water instead cheese. And all the manger could do is 20% off and she was very rude about the whole thing. I will definitely will not be going back at least for very long time. read more

Me and my wife arrived to the location 15 minutes before closing after a long road trip. Even though the kitchen was likely closing up Lindsay quickly accommodated us and made us feel very welcome. I waited over an hour and a half for my appetizer. Waiter didn't check on us for 45 minutes. Didn't refill drinks. we waited so long all of our ice melted in our drinks. Would not go to. Absolutely terrible service. If I could gI've zero stars I would. Never ever going back. read more

I have had two bad experiences now at this location. I decided to give them a second chance because my daughter loves Applebees, but we will not be back after this last time. Both times we visited, I watched several tables of people get up to leave as they sat for long periods of time without being acknowledged by wait staff once seated by hostess. This last visit our appetizers came out before our drinks. Drinks finally arrived right before meal. We requested ketchup for fries once meal arrived and finally had to get up and get ourselves. Food was delivered by someone other than our original server and our server never came back to check on us. I ordered AYCE boneless wings and had to get up to locate the waitress in order to request another order of wings and refill of drink. If you aren't able to fully staff the restaurant, maybe consider closing a few days a week in order to have adequate staff on the days you are open. And I wouldn't offer anything AYCE if you don't plan on checking back with customers to see if they want an additional order. Location is nice. Shame the service isn't the same. read more

i went with a small group to dinner, we were here for over 2 hours had the worst experience ever. It was completely unorganized and there was no communication between waitress and kitchen. We were missing multiple things and continued to miss them after we asked for them. My daughter and I recently went to have lunch at the new Applebees's in Breese, IL. Since a friend of mine ,who recently dined there for lunch, highly recommended the cheeseburger, that's what I ordered. Was very pleased with the service and the amount of time from when she took our order to the time it arrived was acceptable, no long wait at all. I ordered that "shark" cocktail. That was very good. My burger was perfect "no pink". Couldn't finish the entire burger, quite a nice size portion, so took the rest home for later. I had a taste of my daughter's quesadilla. That was tasty....will definitely try that next time. This was a repeat visit for me......so I knew what the boneless wings were, and I ordered my fav "asian chili". Yummmy. $1 for 5 wings when ordering a burger. Now that's a very good deal. I'll be back. And tell my friends as well. Thanks much A. S. read more

I was so looking forward for this place to open, but sadly they hired the wrong GM and staff. While we got seated in a reasonable time, it took two and half hours to get food. No exaggeration. We'd ask the waitress, time and again, and she kept saying it'll be out any time now. Basically she had no idea. As it turned out, she didn't know to press submit when we ordered. So us and the table next to us never got food orders placed. After talking to the manager, we got our food put in after two hours and finally ate after another half and hour. They did comp our meals. And the poor waitress was shocked and upset. Like she was still expecting a tip. I'll stick with one of the local restaurants from now on. The Applebee's Breese Seltzer event was a lot of fun today....the music was great and so was the food! The waitress Alena was so super and kept our drinks coming and she was a hoot too! Very very friendly staff and we enjoyed the big outdoor patio and how clean everything in the restaurant was including the bathrooms! The Operations manager Driss, certainly hired the right people with a great work ethic and so friendly! read more

This has been the 5th time my family and me have been to this location and something negative has happened. First off the servers have always been great however the food has always been horrible. This last visit we got fish and both of them were cold almost still frozen on the inside. Before we got steaks that were still cold. I highly recommend avoiding this place. read more

We order curbside from this location frequently. Everything is always as it should be and the staff is prompt and courteous.

Overall good food and decent service. We don't have that many restaurants in our area so this adds a nice option.

Our wait to be seated was over an hour while many who came in later were seated before us. When we were finally served after a long wait to order, the server advised they were out of one of the sides. We asked what could be substituted. "No substitutions " was the reply. So, how about a reduction in price? "No" was the reply. The rationale was that they don't charge for sides. (Really!) The "manager" finally came over and offered a $2 credit. When the bill finally came, the credit was $1.50! Felt badly for the servers who had to provide such stupid responses. We won't be back. read more

I like Applebee's. I really do. I dine at the Fairview Heights store regularly. This location is still in the birthing stage. On a Monday evening at 7:30, we pulled into the parking lot to see chairs turned up onto their tables. We thought they were closed! Looking on our phones, we saw that the hours are until 11 p.m. We try the door and they are indeed open. Not an auspicious start. Server did a good job but seemed...off. I'll put that down to being new. Salads were drenched in dressing. Someone at the table called it Caeser Soup. Yuk. Entrees were hit and miss. Steaks-good. Burger-ok. French Fries-cold and soggy. Salmon-ok. Great broccoli! I hope it's just a teething problem. read more

I'm admittedly not a big Applebee's fan, and I was skeptical of this location based on the rating, but I'm impressed. I ordered car-side in the rain, and the guys that brought it out were very friendly and professional, and kept all of us dry with an umbrella. Not only that, I ordered the broccoli chicken Alfredo, and it was the best I've ever had at ANY Applebee's location. I'd recommend it, and I'll definitely be back! read more

I do not usually have bad reviews but here it goes. We got seated fairly quickly, maybe a 10-15 minute wait. There were 3 couples. After about 10 minutes a server came by to tell us he would be with us soon to get drink orders. About 10 minutes later he was there. 20 minutes before we could even get a glass of water. We placed our food orders at this time because we didn't want to see how long it would be before he came back. After about 15 more minutes he came back and said they were out of my dinner choice. So I reordered, beef nachos this time. After about 30 minutes all the food comes out except mine. I am again told they are out of beef nachos too. All 5 of the other are now eating their food. The waiter tells me the manager has said to order anything on the menu and it's covered. Now I'm not picky. I just choose what my husband is eating because obviously they have that in stock, bourbon street chicken and shrimp. They were out of salad dressing that my Dad ordered so he got a plain side salad. Another of us ordered the burger with broccoli as his side. He got fries. My dad ordered 2 breadsticks with his meal. He got one. But charged for 2. My husband went to pay the tab and I looked at the receipt. He had changed me for the beef nachos that they were out of AND the chicken and shrimp that was now boxed and ready to go. What a horrible experience. They did refund the food they were out of finally after us waiting even longer. We were there over two miserable hours. read more

Very poor service, very poor food quality, would recommend eating at a gas station before coming here. Waited 20 minutes after being seated for drink and food order, another 20 min to receive drinks, food came out wrong twice, waited 20 min for 2nd round of drinks and another 15 to close out tabs. read more
