I've been to this location a few times, because it's really close to my work. Their cuts are really fresh and me personally, I like the overall freshness of their produce as well. Except today, I had the most rude of people on the cashier end of it. Alma needs to be retrained in customer service skills. Out of the blue she started throwing, not putting in, throwing all the items I purchased into the bag, literally throws my receipt at me. Awful, i walked in the store clearly drinking a coke both cashiers saw me. Upon paying for my items i was rudely confronted and was questioned in front of other customers about the drink. Had a solid, straightforward experience at this Apple Tree location. Despite the business on a weekday, we found a space in the parking lot. There was a small line at the butcher's shop, but I grabbed a number and was helped promptly. The butcher was friendly. Checkout was also prompt. I came to the store to buy meat because most of the time it's pretty good at a reasonable price. When I went to the meat section,I saw what I wanted but the butcher decided to pull a trick on me and went underneath to the shit he had stacked away. I complained that I wanted ones ones at the top. He obviously got mad and tore the bag and through his embarrassment acted innocent,fucking jerk. He started to yell at me. I told him that I said to this piece of shit that it's not free and gave him the customer is always right crap. You have to be watching these ass wipes, they are always trying to rip you off. I usually take what they give me and put it behind a shelf and come back and get what I wanted the first time. Because I know that they will give their trash to someone else. Better off going to the other apple tree. The butcher at this one has a chip on his shoulder... will not let you pick out your own steaks, says you get what you get. I can understand this if steaks were already pre-packaged, but when they're in the display window, why would someone pay for one that was cut horribly and looks like it's already been gnawed on by an alley dog? Poppa raised a carnivore and Apple tree continues to make poppa proud with their arecherra preparada. It's flank steak that's already prepared for you to make carne asada. I go here because it's in the hood and I love the way the meat tastes. I usually buy way too much and eat probably a pound of it while I'm cooking ....don't judge! They also have queso fresco and other Mexi quesos you NEED to go with your carne asada....well at least I NEED it. Tortillas are always fresh and sometimes warm depending on what time you get there. I really don't go for much more than meat, cheese and torillas but what else would you expect from a carnivore! If you're in the hood and need some meat pick some up and ask them ro prepare it for you they will have it ready pretty quickly. It's usually about 5.99 a pound unless it's on sale. I like this place for prepared Carne Asada ready to throw on the grill and same for the chicken and would have given them a 5 had it not been for my last few visits. When you visit a butcher you are doing so to select your cut otherwise you would just pick up any pre packaged pack and call it a day. The butchers there sell you what they want and get annoyed if you make requests about the cut or piece which defeats the purpose or going to a butcher. The back talk is uncomfortable. Also in my last visit I noticed the store was PACKED! This place is Tiny, smaller than some 7-11s yet I counted 34 people in there at one time. It was clear that they were ignoring Covid safety protocol and packing everyone in for sales. There was social distancing tape outside to form a line but the staff member asked everyone to just enter. I was uncomfortable with the potential exposure and number of people still being allowed in at the same time so I left. read more

Another favorite market in Chula Vista to pick up everything you need for your fresh salsa's and Mexican food. They are a small neighborhood market that has a small produce area, a meat counter, and an extensive tortilla area and pan dulce. They also have a small grocery area but like most smaller market the prices aren't as competitive as the larger chains. But that isn't why you come here. Most of the time I find all the ingredients I need for my fresh salsa's that I might not find at Ralphs. Not to mention the better brands of tortillas and cheeses as well as good prices on prepared meats for a carne or pollo asada. So if you're in the hood, this is a good place to check out. read more

I ordered Applebee's this evening for a burger and fries and a salad an Asian salad. The burger was not flavorful it was very bland and my husband didn't even eat half of it. My Asian salad was terrible. It hardly had any cheese in it it had more tomatoes than anything else. The dressing was disgusting it was very spicy and was not an Asian vinaigrette like they had said it was. I spent $40 on a meal which I would've rather just had toast and eggs from my own house I ended up throwing out my salad I will never order online from Applebee's again. read more

Good grocery store, their chicken and meat are fresh. I gave them three stars because the idiots that make the tortillas. There was a 7-8 people line waiting for tortillas that were very slowly being made(not the issue), but people are waiting for packets being taken as soon as they come out and these people were allowing customers to get 3-4 packs at the time. In my opinion they should have two lines or make people get in line again after one packet because seriously I stood in that line for close to 30 minutes. I would have left but my dad was craving tortillas but never buying them here again. read more

Prices are pretty reasonable. They have good ribs, pastries, fruit etc. There prices are average. Tend to have good sales on eggs however a concern we've had are not in closed refrigerator area like u would see in a typical grocery store. The true corner store Back in elementary school, I had a Mexican-American friend who lived down the street from this little market near Our Lady of Guadalupe. His parents always referred to it as "the corner store." They would buy various Mexican products and food that it carried because the major grocery stores did not.
