Stopped by today because I couldn't handle how irritating my scalp was making me feel and loved the experience! They were able to take me in thankfully since I didn't schedule an appointment or anything. The entire experience itself was also really cool! I first filled out a waver asking about the condition of my scalp and then was taken to get my scalp analysis. It was super cool actually seeing the condition my scalp was in (it was super dry) and then they show you it again after the treatment. After the analysis I went into the room and changed into the towel they gave me. The person doing my treatment was really good! I really liked the head massage but I would say that it may be a little rough on those who prefer something softer, although the person doing my hair always told me to let him know my preferences so he could adjust to it, which I appreciated. I also found out that my neck is very sensitive to I found myself feeling ticklish every time he rinsed my hair. After the hair and scalp treatment my hair was steamed and then I was able to get changed and head back out to finish up. He airbrushed scalp nourishing treatment and showed me how my scalp looked after. It was really interesting to see the difference. One thing that I will say is I would recommend getting this service done at the end of the day or when you're not doing anything else since your hair probably wont be fully dried. Will definitely come back here with my sister! Update: its been a few days now and I feel like my scalp has felt the same as before Ive gotten a scalp treatment before that removed the itchiness and dryness of my scalp for a little more than a month but for some reason I still feel the same as before. For my first time going to a hair spa, this has definitely met my expectations. I was fortunate to book an appointment the same day for an hour for a deep cleaning. I walked in and filled out an info sheet where I wrote down my main issues and included my current hair regimen (or lack there of). Then I was taken to the back where they sat me down and I saw a screen where they looked at my scalp magnified and took note of any problems. Since I didn't know I was coming here I was conscious because I had a ton of product in my hair and I wished I did a small cleanse prior (much like brushing your teeth vigorously before the dentist or doing tidying up before hiring a maid service lol). Then I was taken to a room and I put on a towel on my top half and kept my jeans (note to self wear leggings or sweats!). I laid on my back and relaxed. Because my eyes were covered I couldn't tell a lot of what was happening but I know my scalp was massaged very vigorously with tools and the technicians hands and I could feel the shampoo suds completing penetrating every strand I could've sworn I heard my hair literally squeak clean. You know those massage claws that make you tingle from head to toe? That's how I felt when the halo rinser thing was on me. It was a bit unnerving for the first couple minutes but I got used to it as the water warmed up. Then I felt the tech combing through my hair and felt steam over my face and head for a few minutes. Ahhh . After the treatment I was taken back to the first chair where they put some hair toner in my hair, using a hair dryer on me, waved a frequency wand haphazardly around my head and took magnified pictures of my scalp again. I swear I thought my scalp looked 2 shades light and the strands looked shiny and healthy. I was a bit bummed that I didn't get a neck and shoulder massage which I heard some places do. I believe it was part of the 90 min package though. But regardless I got a free drink, a stamp card and a fresh scalp to face the LA pollution once again! I'll surely be back at least 1x a month. He was super nice and welcoming. My girl "Jenny" was very sweet and STRONG! I almost went into a deep sleep with her shoulder and neck massage. It's located in the corner of a strip mall off of Reseda in the "Royal Plaza. There is a free parking lot but depending what time you go, it could be full. The place is small but clean. The before and after pictures are insane. My scalp definitely feels cleaner and my hair feels softer and looks shiny. I can't wait to style it when I get home! One thing to note: bring cash, as there is a $5 fee for credit card payments. The only thing that would make this experience even better is if they offered a blowout instead of just a blow dry. They are upfront about this in their description (it does say blow dry only), but I couldn't continue running errands with my hair looking the way it did afterward. It was my first time getting a scalp massage treatment, so not much to compare it to. I got the 90 minute scalp massage treatment. I believe the staff was very professional. I arrived in a timely manner and was seen very quickly. I don't feel like it was super relaxing though unfortunately. The person that took care of me was wearing gloves, which I guess is sanitary, but it didn't feel that great. I was expecting more of a relaxing tingling sensations, but it was just a lot of scrubbing. Didn't get the chills I was looking for. I was probably on the table for no more than 30 minutes. The other times was taking pictures and looking at my scalp, and then drying my hair, I found that disappointing. Maybe if they used more tools it would've been more relaxing. There was no massaging of the neck and shoulders either. I was left under the water rinse thing for a long time. Also didn't find that relaxing. It was actually really loud and made a ringing sound the whole time. :/ Overall, feel like my scalp didn't change much after. I have oily straight hair, wasn't really looking for any specific treatment. I don't think I would be back just in the fact that I didn't find it really relaxing. read more
