Service Department is terrible! Example: Needed a new tire. Had to be ordered for a '24 INTEGRA. Had to return to have work done . Made an appointment to have tire changed. It took them over 2 hours to get it done. Not acceptable. Don't buy or service a car here! read more

AVOID Apple Tree Acura as much as possible. I have Acura RLX, which I bought as Acura Certified vehicle. At the time of purchased it had 45K miles on it. Transmission started to make noise - not great. I tried to schedule a service with Apple Tree Acura for several days - I could not get through to the service department when I called 828-684-4400. I took my car to Ashville Honda & Acura Service. Within 2 hours they called me back and told that this is a known problem and Acura would repair it for free. They printed out a Service Bulletin 19-004 for me, which clearly states that this is covered by Acura for 80K miles/8 years. See second page: https://www.tsbsearch.com/Acura/19-004 I was able to call service department and left a message saying that I need to schedule a repair for a problem described in the Service Builletin 19-004. I get a call back from Acura. They told me that RLX are not covered by this TSB, I asked to check again - advisor found this TSB and told me that he needs VIN number to schedule a repair. I sent a text with VIN number, left a messages - did not hear from them. I tried to call 828-684-4400 - still could not get through to the service department. I decided to schedule a service online. That part of the site looked like something from late 90s - really bad design and usability. Anyway, left a note saying that I need a service for TSB 19-004 when I schedule a service online. My daughter took a car to the dealership at 11:00 am. Advisor called me saying that my car does not qualify for free repair. Initially, I was told that transmission fluid was never changed in this car. Well if this is true then someone who represents Acura should NOT mention this to me, since as I bough this car as Acura Certified pre-owned from an Acura dealer. If transmission fluid was never replaced then Acura could not sell it as Certified pre-owned. At the time of purchase I was told that the car is fully serviced, transmission fluid was replaced and replacement is due at 75K miles (I had 74.5K miles). Also, TSB specifically says that transmission fluid deteriorate prematurely and they have a software update to fix this issue. So the fact that transmission fluid is dirty would be expected, otherwise Acura would not issue this TSB. Then advisor told me that they cannot find any records that transmission fluild was replace. Then he told me that they are using their own software and he cannot find TSB 19-004 or my car does not qualify for it based on VIN. Anyway, they charge me $570 for repair. According to TSB repair should take 54 minutes and 4 quarts of Acura ATF DW-1, which $10-$12 per quart. Not a bad profit margin. They were not able to complete the service on the same. The car was ready early in the morning of the next day. I should mention that people at Acura were very polite, but not willing to owner Acura's warranty. So, if you have Acura/Honda and you live in Ashvielle do yourself a favor, take it to https://www.facebook.com/people/Asheville-Honda-Acura-Service/100054621961673/ for service. They know Hondas/Acuras. They treat customer well. They told me - go to Acura, they must fix the issue for free because it is still under warranty instead of just doing service and charging me for it. NEVER EVER go to Apple Tree Acura. read more

I honestly couldn't be more sad that I got taken by Apple Tree Acura. Basically, this dealership sold me a used MDX that stunk beyond tolerable. When you spend a months trying to sanitize the stench away, when you have to drive with windows down and your head stuck out the window, when you think back to How nice they were as sale time but thought it odd that you got no grace period to return the auto you're buying in case it's a lemon... Yeah, this was a loser of a car purchase and I can only hope If you're reading this you Walk away If you have any doubt about what the Apple Tree sale team is selling you. Possibly the worst purchase of my lifetime. The only saving grace to bump up to two stars was a couple good guys in the repair shop. But keep it simple - save yourself the months of sadness Knowing you got taken - Walk Away from stinky Apple Tree for your next purchase. read more

I honestly couldn't be more satisfied with the service department at Apple Tree Acura. I have my Acura MDX and my Honda Accord serviced here. I always receive amazing, fast service. The reason why the service department is as good as it is at Apple Tree Acura is because of James Mills, an Acura Service Advisor. James is completely knowledgeable about what he's doing. He fixes every problem I have with both of my cars, and takes the time to hear what you have to say. He truly cares about you as a customer. I could not be more satisfied with how respectful and courteous he is. I only deal with James in the Service Department. He has kept all of my cars in great shape since I have owned them. Pre owned Sales manager types up fake kbb values of the cars and then uses it to justify overpricing their cars. On top of that, he gets offended when you call him out on his lie. His ego and disrespect cost a sale, wouldn't recommend anyone do business there. The sales associate I dealt with was nice, shame they have someone like him in a leadership role. read more

Just bad experience overall with both the dealership and the maintenance department. We were sold a car with major transmission problems. And then wouldn't communicate with us regarding these issues. It's pretty bad when the man in charge wont even own up to the mistakes made... THEN they didn't communicate with our insurance company to have our car insured. I referred a customer to Drake Hinton 5 months ago and was promised a $100 referral by January 16, 2021. It is now April 9 and two visits and 5 phone calls later I still have not received my referral fee. This is most dishonest and untrustworthy dealership I have ever worked with. Drake Hinton disclosed personal information about my referral, down payment, credit score, interest rate, income and amount financed, I have purchased many cars over the years and I have never dealt with a more dishonest dealership or sales person in 40 years of buying cars. read more

I have taken my Acura here three or four times now for various types of repair services and have worked with a WONDERFUL gentleman names James. James is a very honest guy who explains everything to you very clearly and in layman terms. I always feel heard and never once feel like I have been taken advantage of, which is something a young woman like myself needs to be concerned with. James goes out of his way to make sure the repairs are as coat-efficient as possible but that the work is done correctly the FIRST time. He works with both me and my father (who was the original owner of the car) as he lives in Miami so he accommodates by accepting payments over the phone. James and all the staff here at Apple Tree Acura give me outstanding service regardless of my age, tattoos, or gender. They even give me super fancy loaner cars at no additional cost when I need to leave my car overnight. We love the service we get here and will definitely be back again. read more

I purchased an Acura TSX from AppleTree Honda. It had oil consumption issues, which were part of a recall notice. After losing 4 qts. of oil, I brought it in last October. I was told by a manager that AppleTree would have to monitor it for a complete cycle, and that I would have to take it in, photos of the odometer were not satisfactory. 8 months later, I am still bringing it in, only to be told that they need more time to monitor. In short, passing the buck so they don't have to fix their issues. I've been a lifelong Acura user, but the service from Apple Tree will make me think twice. read more

I have owned Acuras over the years from different dealers but Apple Tree is a joke. I purchased a new 2019 RDX and have had electronics (Infotainment Issues) for a year now. It's a well known problem and lots of owners nationwide are experiencing these issues. The Service Dept as well as salesmen play stupid regarding the known problems. I was at the dealer a week ago. They lie directly to your face. Want you to leave the car to "assess" and see if they can repair the issues. WAKE UP, there is no fix. Its a major engineering design flaw. I know of one owner where the service dept replaced the entire unit 7 times with always the same result, NOT FIXED. So why would I want to waste my time taking the vehicle to the dealer constantly for an issue that cannot be fixed. I know the dealers did not design or manufacture the RDX so its not the fault of individuals that work there but keeping up the LIE is........Buyer Beware....I wish I could return the vehicle and not loose a bunch of money in the process but with everyone including Acura Corporate, fat chance of that happening. The worst thing is that Acura knew when the vehicle was released that these problems existed and still exist to this day even with the 2020 models and DO NOT tell buyers about it. I will NEVER EVER purchase another Honda product. read more
