As all apple stores it can get pretty full at peak times. What i find cool ist with the apple store app i can purchase accessories without any wait time. Just scan pay and leave. Really easy to use. The staff is very friendly once you get a hold of them. All these negative comments are, i believe, from people with too high of expectations, or better said, unrealistic expectations. The genius bar is the same as its always bin. If you have an appointment then you know it will take a very tolerable 5-10 minutes. If not you get put in a waiting list of some sort which in my case took about 35 minutes until i received the message to return, and after sitting another 5 minutes. Instead of popping in without an appointment save your nerves and make one from home on the app. The technician "sam" told me the walk in appointment are generally meant for emergencies. read more

Needed an iPhone charger with a plug for Swiss outlets. They had plenty in stock, and should work in other European countries as well. Store was easy to find, accessories all in the basement level (straight in the front door and down the stairs). Charged my phone while I shopped. Browsed some accessories that I hadn't seen in the US. Easy and productive visit, although 20 francs lighter walking out than when I walked in. read more

Since my horrible experience at this location 2.5 weeks ago, I received an email yesterday morning saying that they now have the hard drive for my MacbookAir in stock and I should bring my computer back to the Apple store within the next 4 days to get the new hard drive installed. I dropped off my laptop around 10:15am this morning, waited for less than 5 minutes before handing it over to someone. Got a call (and email) around 1:30PM saying that the laptop has been repaired and ready for pickup. Went back to the store and waited another 5 minutes before getting it back....free of charge as it is still under warranty. This is the level of service that I've came to expect from Apple stores over the years. I'm glad they were able to redeem themselves from the awful customer service provided on my previous visit. read more

Always crowded, service is slow and bad. Apple doesn't care about customers. I had to wait in a line of 20 in order to make a reservation for service. And there was only one guy making the appointments. This is why we pay $700 for an iPhone? read more

Apple's customer care is some of the best in the world. The employees are well-trained, knowledgable and friendly, and the service policy is excellent. Unlike most other electronics companies, I've never experienced Apple trying to worm their way out of the warranty. Even if you are clearly at fault (if you drop your iPhone and break the display), Apple will offer you a replacement at cost, about $200 for an iPhone. And you'll get your replacement immediately. Also, a neat trick for getting your shopping done quickly. If you have an iPhone, you can enable EasyPay, and with that simply take whatever you need from the shelves, scan it with the app, pay in the app, and just walk out of the store with your purchase. No standing in line or needing to bother an employee. read more

Cannot understand why Apple moved from the Bahnhofstrasse. It used to be one of the only great and interesting places left to go in Zurich, together with Transa another's on the Europa Allee, or Kaeser Dive Store. Now, it's just bedlam whenever you walk in. The premises are much too small for all the people in there, so you have the feeling of having to battle yourself though a busy Migros on a Saturday, instead of finding the joy of buying your first / next Apple purchase. Or enjoying the free training sessions held within the store. Sorry, but not only has the the store become far less than an a far too small Inter Discount, the service has become really rubbish. I have most Apple high-end products as I need them for my career. But from now on, I can order more cheaply on-line from other non-Apple retailers. read more

A surprisingly reasonably-priced Apple store. Most things in Switzerland are about twice the price of the US, and somewhat more than Germany; however, electronics appear to be the exception (mumble mumble tarifs mumble) --- prices were perhaps 20% higher than in the US. Other than that, it's classic Apple Store --- Macs upstairs, accessories in the basement. A mix of very helpful staffers, and people just hanging around chatting with coworkers, waiting to be asked a question. The hangers-around were a tad less professional than usual, but on average the staff is quite reasonable. Essentially everything here works on both 110V (US) and 220V (Europe). Plugs are a little more complicated --- some items come with a mix of plugs, Euro-standard, or Switzerland-specific ones; be sure to ask if you'll be travelling. read more

I first have to mention that I can't understand why this store has so many stars. If my whole itunes would 't run together with apple I wouldn't even own an apple device because they always break anyways! So today I went once again to the apple store because my device yet had another problem after just 9 months (and this wasn't my first iPod which broke either). Then I had to wait at one of the tables for almost 40 minutes!! When the guy then finally came he was doing a job and being friendly so I won't complain about that. But please Apple if you offer to select a time for your costumers to set up an appointment please hire more staff or just make the time range for the appointments longer! read more

After a disappointing experience at the Apple Store in Berlin, I was relieved to see that the Zurich location was much better. The employees treated their customers with respect, the wait time was reasonable, and two different geniuses helped me with my issued. I'm so grateful for both of them, and I'd recommend this location to anyone needing help with their device. Well done! read more

Passed this store on a Sunday and was able to join their free WiFi in order to do some work "on the run". Very convenient.

Great service! When I arrived in Zürich, I realized my converter didn't work. I walked to this store thinking that I would purchase a new plug for my laptop. The employee said that I didn't have to spend that much money and found the world traveler adapter set. He saved me €50. read more

I visited the store this morning to get an iPad Air Cover; I have ordered online but it won't arrive by time for a gift. It took me 2 minutes to find the cover - but - 10 minutes of frustration for paying for the item. To provide some background, the store has two floors, including one underground. This is my second time to the store. There was not an attended cashier or any clear signs marking an area or a line for checkout. My bet was to ask some one to help me. The first Apple staff asked me to wait for a while when he seemed to have other errands to finish. He came back after a short while and asked me to wait for one other moment. Then 5 minutes passed, and I was left there like an idiot. So I had to ask the second staff for help. He pointed to the far corner of the room and asked me to find some help there. So again, I stood before a long, empty table for another 2 minutes, until I bugged the third staff members. I did appear to be frustrated by then, yet, it did not get better after the checkout. There was no 'sorry' or 'thank you' from the third staff, though he did ask about whether I needed a bag. I cannot say that he was unfriendly or arrogant, but I don't quite feel comfortable when he appeared that he wanted to get rid of this unhappy customers as soon as possible. When I walked out of the store, I told myself next time I should plan ahead so that I could avoid this experience for sure - digitec is a much better alternative. read more
