A pretty typical Apple Store at Meadowhall, it pretty much offers everything you'd expect from an Apple Store, showcasing Apple's latest tech and great service. I'm not always a huge fan of "mall locations" especially considering the grand Apple Stores you see across the world, but this location is ideal and suits Meadowhall, and the store still looks good, taking up a reasonably large unit in the mall, and of course, it is one of the stores that you'd expect to be in a large shopping centre. The store is clear and easy to follow and has a simplistic yet fresh and modern feel, it feels like it has been refurbished in the past couple of years. As with any Apple Store, it can get super busy at times, but the opening hours are good including into the late evening, so if you time your visit right there shouldn't be too much of a kerfuffle! 4* read more

The store is extremley busy on my two visits to start and complete a repair on my iMac it was hectic, the staff seem to cope but you have to be patient and stand in line to register your presence and any problem you may have If on the other had you are there to buy stuff then there seems to be ample staff to look after you, I counted at least 10 staff dealing with Sales but only 3 dealing with problems so if you go in with a problem be prepared to wait in line and then wait till you are called to the genius bar But once seen the staff are pleasent and helpful, the repair on my iMac was completed in the quoted timeframe of 3-5 days and the repair sorted out my problem and was at a reasonable cost If you go in to purchase or to browse you will be seen quicker and I supose thats how it should be, but if you need a repair or advice about your device be prepared to be patient and set time aside to wait in line to be seen as it will take a while for the Genuis Bar to get to see you read more

This store is fantastic, you go in and get wide eyed at all the sleek styled apple products. The displays allow playing with the gadgets properly and trying them out before you buy, or just to send a email while you are out shopping. They have the full apple range with the apple price tag, which is the only downside but you can dream and write up your wish list while you are there. The staff are fantastic, any queries over an apple product and they will try to fix or find a solution, they are very knowledgeable!!! (Unlike some computer shop staff) The accessories are a bit limited and would like to see more the shop is limited on space. There are a few choices and it is normally the top end products, such as speakers for the ipods. The shop does run workshops as well so you can make the most out of your apple product which you don't get elsewhere really. This shows they run a excellent after service and not just selling the products. Due to the size the shop does get busy easily at week ends, if you are wanting some in depth help I would try avoid going mid day on a Saturday!! read more

I know you're not really supposed to, but I always nip in the Apple Shop to use their internet access as I'm wandering round Meadowhall. Now, with that confession out of the way, I also have something else to tell you. The staff are not always as knowledgeable as they like to make out and it's particularly interesting going in there with an Apple technician who can catch them out when they try and tell him a lot of rubbish. At the end of the day, they are trying to sell you their very expensive products. Mac heaven! You don't have to be a Mac fan to shop here, but it really does help. The staff here are very friendly, happy to show you how stuff works and what it can do, an they regularly hold tutorial sessions which you can book onto, which are just brilliant! Also a great place to go if you want to compare and play with every iPod they currently make, or to look for any accessories, or just get advice. I also love that you can pay any member of staff without having to queue at the till, and they can email you your receipt! Genius! read more

To Sum Up: Everything you want from apple with brilliant service This store is one of the best new stores to meadowhall in recent years, with everything mac inside from air books to tv receivers to ipods, if your a mac fan this shops for you, if your not a mac fan this store could soon make you a convert. (assuming your pockets are large enough) The store located on the upper floor of the meadowhall shopping centre has all the latest mac gear and has friendly staff that are willing to help at any oppertunity and will answer all questions no matter how dumb you may think that they sound. My only complaint with them is that when you purchase something from them they ask if you have an email so that they can send your receipt to you that way to save paper because its better for the environment, all well and good bvut not always practical. The store can get a little it claustrophobic when the centre is busy however but despite that its strong layout means its not as bad as it could be. 5 star customer service and with all the gadgets on show for you to have a play with to help you decide whether you want to buy or not, the place is fantastic. read more

This apple store is very funky i love it. just go in to browse around, and look at stuff i cant afford to buy lol. Its one of those stores where yo just need to have a look in when your walking past. its very much like the American Apple shop format!! They have a unique thing, with the pay system where you dont have to queue up(ive just realised that the previous person has mention this so id leave it at that)! I like this shop and have never had a problem with it. Bought a few iPods from here and once had a problem. Took it back and the guys there fixed it almost immediately. The prices are a bit steep but you may be able to get them down ;) or at least get something chucked in free. The staff are helpfull and there is a lot of stuff you can use and play with or listen to before you buy. They sell the usual phones i belive, computers, iPods and accesseries. My elderly mother visited the Apple Store at Meadowhall today to try to replace her aged iPad. She was in the shop 2 hours in which time she had to ask for a chair to sit down. After 2 hours, and having been seen very briefly just twice, she left without a new iPad. I feel that treating any customer like this, especially an elderly lady, is disgraceful. Every time I go in here I end up with a row. I take a 15 month old iPod in that's died and they tell me it's tough. After an argument they replace it. Then they repair my Macbook case. They tell me it'll be two hours. It takes five. Then I discover they've trashed the CD drive and the Ethernet connector. Great let's see how tomorrow's argument goes read more

I agree with some previous posters that the Apple staff are not all that Apple! They are not rotten to the core, actually very friendly and even provide non Apple advise. Unlike the London stores, some advisors appear to be trained from little knowledge, rather than being exceptional knowledge experts. When compared to a store like PC world or Comet, the staff are considerably better, you never over hear an Apple employee speaking gibberish to a would be customer just to bag a sale. Rather Apple store employees are advisors not sales staff. The only intimidating aspect to an Apple store are the number of customers, especially on a weekend. Will I keep buying Apple? Not all product lines, but some are better than the alternatives in terms of quality and reliability, which should be expected at the premium price. The Sheffield store is cramped compared the Apple stores in London, and my advise is to browse in store and buy online, that way under distance selling rules Apple allow you to try at home and then return an opened product if it does not suit. read more
