This Persian place is great value. They get 4.5 stars. The rice portions are huge as is normal for Iranian places. Chicken Koobideh was good - with a decent grilled taste & pretty moist. After waiting 15 minutes for this beautiful shawarma I had the pleasure of enjoying a sick stomach with some super comfortable diarrhea. Based on the cashier's ignorant behaviour and the manner of which he was making my sandwich definitely confirmed that this would be my very last time ordering from here and thankfully avoid explosive diarrhea . I understand that this a restaurant of a specific culture but we are in Canada and everyone is expected to be treated the same regardless of your background. First off, I love getting take out from here just because the restaurant smells AMAZING. The smell from the grill is just so intoxicating and makes my mouth water whenever I go in. Anyways, I've only ever gotten the combo for 4 and it's Suzy a good deal! The meat is always cooked perfectly and so delicious! Barg (veal) kebab is very soft, incredibly delicious and one of favs. I also like their stews such as bademjan, eggplant cooked with veal, tomato and sour grape served on basmati rice. If you ordering a family of 4, try their family pack. They seem to be getting busier every year so give yourself half an hour for pickup after you order. I took away a star only because there's no washroom at this location to customers but there is a nice seating area for a 'take away' restaurant. The food also ranks about a 4 star - Very much tasting of home made and delicious. Two people picked up takout as we were waiting - so this is a place where the food is moving. Everything was tastey and not terribly greasy. My husband ordered the chicken lunch special and I had rainbow trout. Very tasty and the price is not bad! read more

This is my second time getting take out from this restaurant. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and made the mistake of coming here a second time. I have never in my life had beef fillet that was so dry, so smelly, and so chewy. Beef fillet should be so soft and tender you can cut it with a spoon, I couldn't cut this kabob with my back teeth. It was so dry that it sucked out all the moisture from my mouth, I couldn't get it down. And don't get me started on the taste. It was a mixture of sour and smelly. Clearly not fresh. This used to be my go to place in the summer. I went there today to order some shawarma w/ salad for myself and my co-workers for lunch and was shocked to learn that A) Under new management and B) the portion sizes are less than half of what they used to be. C) The increase in prices. I gave this two stars because the taste of the food is still the same however not filling at all. This place used to be owned by a brother and sister- not sure if they are still the owners, but going under new management was not a good idea. I will order from the Persian place on king street down the road from now on. I suggest you do the same :) read more

Horrible. I saw one review that said it was cozy.... 1 table and no washrooms for the customers isn't my idea of cozy. Sure there's a sit up bar that's 12 inches deep if you like staring at a wall while you eat. We ordered 2 chicken shawarma and 2 cans of pop....$20. Wait time -20 minutes. Flavour was 1 out of ten with your choice of three toppings. Really? In this day and age how do these places survive? My daughter couldn't even finish hers. The garlic sauce was so runny it pours out the backside making the wrap (loosely wrapped) virtually inedible after about 2 minutes. My family orders from here a couple of times every month! The family pack they offer is tremendous value and is very difficult for a family of 4 to consume in one sitting. I've tried many different Persian restaurants but feel that these guys make the best Koobideh kabab (ground beef) that I have come across. It's a small takeout (mainly) place and you can see the smoke coming out of their BBQ. When I watch them cook up the kebabs a lot of care and effort goes into it all the time. For BBQ food their food is extremely consistent and always tastes the same which is very good. They also make a very good chicken schwarma and the portion is great. The rest of the selection including the chicken kebab and steak kebab is better then average. The owners are great people and very friendly and offer great value. I happen to be lucky that this is the closest Persian restaurant to me. But even if it wasn't I would make the travel to it as it is definitely the best I have come across! read more

I am their customers for years.... Always good quality kebabs....my favourite is Vaziry...... This is the only Persian resturant in the area that I trust and enjoy.... Ok so the food is good. But they stopped giving salad two years ago. Which is fine whatever. But now they don't include a drink with your meal and when you stay to eat they give it to you in a to go container instead of a plate which is less food.
