I needed a 20 year old garage door opener replaced as it was starting to have problems. When I called Mike at Apple Garage Door, he recommended a replacement that just happened to be on sale at Home Depot. I ran up to Home Depot and purchased it (I had already read the reviews & had a strong recommendation from my brother) and Mike was able to send guys out to install the new one the same day. I wasn't expecting such quick service but I was really getting frustrated with the old one and calling Apple Garage Door was the best thing! The guys were here less than an hour and took the old one away. All the remotes worked including the keypad. The opener is quiet too. I will definitely use them again if needed. While my brother volunteered to install it, using Apple Garage Door was the best solution. The price was very reasonable too. read more

I sent Mike a text on October 17, 2024 and received no call back or text. I then called the number I had and asked for Mike. I was told he was not available but the person who answered said she would be glad to help me get someone out to take care of my garage door problem. I gave her the number of my tenant so she could schedule around her. She said the service person would call before doing any work to let me know what was going on and what the charge would be after he assessed the problem. Today, October 22 and a week since that call, I got a call from a PRIVATE NUMBER and it was Keller, the service person saying he was there at the house and informing me of the service I needed. He also tried to upsell me on a new motor for the door opener, since this one was older. This did not sound like Mike from Apple Garage Doors so I asked him if he worked for Mike. He said no, Mike had retired and sold his business/phone number to ANYTIME GARAGE DOOR TX. We discussed the work, the price and I asked about payment since I knew nothing about this company and had not been informed about any of their terms. To make a long story short, it appears they will only take cash or credit cards, I called the office to see if they could take an ACH payment, Zelle or check, and to try to make some kind of arrangements so Keller could do the work he was out there to do, but no go. When I asked to speak to a manager about working something out I was told they were all in meetings and unavailable so we didn't get the work done. This company that has taken over Apple Garage Door does not have the same ethics that Mike had and I will never recommend them after the way they have represented themselves to me. Nothing about this was upfront, my work didn't get done, their service guy didn't get to do a job and the company is getting a negative review! What a waste of time all the way around. As a realtor I have clients asking for referrals for every type of business that is home related, I would NEVER recommend ANYTIME GARAGE DOOR TX to any of them and will let my Ebby Halliday associates know what their clients can expect from this poorly operated company. read more

We had an incident where our garage door was shut on our car as it was backing out of the garage. We called Apple garage door service and they were able to come out the next day. I've used Apple Garage for years. Years ago, something like 15 or so, I first had Mike come replace a spring on a rental property. He was prompt, worked quickly, but still focused on doing the job right. Our garage door became disengaged last night and I tired fixing it and it wasn't closing all the way and left about a foot opening at the bottom. I called Mike and he said he would be there the next morning. Mike showed up the next morning and was so kind. Although he said he didn't usually work on this certain brand of garage door and they usually take a special computer to program correctly, he tried a couple of things and got it to work in less than 5 minutes! I called Mike today when the Big Spring on my Garage door busted. Mike was awesome he was at my front door within 20 minutes, fixed it in another 20 minutes.. I still can't believe I got this issue fixed as fast as I did. I thought this was going to take days.. On top of that, Mike was about 50 percent cheaper than other places.. If something goes wrong with your garage door I would recommend him to you. They responded promptly and dispatched the next day since we told them we weren't in a hurry and there was no rush. One of our doors would not open with the remote but the other door would and the wall switch still worked for both doors. Parts are hard to come by right now with insanely high diesel prices and they didn't know how long it would take to get the needed part so we asked them to replace the opener. We've been using Apple Garage Door for almost 7 years now and have always had a great experience. He installed our doors shortly after we moved into our house and has been out about 3 times for repairs.
