Their billing is deceitful and unfair. We are an active duty military family. We have been stationed overseas for the last 6 years. We are only here in the area for a couple months while my husband is deployed. I am unfamiliar with Tricare Dental stateside so I called around and ensured that they accepted our dental plan. They even did a pre-authorization and told me it would be 100% covered. Two weeks later I get a bill for $505. This is absurd! My insurance paid out $200 which is what they would normally pay out. However, they expect me to pay the remaining balance! Despite Washington Smiles initially telling me it would be fully covered. I have fought this with the insurance side as well as with the dental company. Cannot believe I'm expected to pay this. Living overseas, we never saw a bill once. This was not a visit worth $705, just preventative dental. A cleaning and exam for two of my children.

I had to go back and tell her…read moresomething didn't feel right about the crown and that big chunks of food were getting stuck in it. She blew me off and said sorry there is nothing I can do. I said I'm 28, this is going to suck if I have to deal with that for the rest of my life. She didn't care. So 7 years later... yesterday I had a dentist appointment with a whole other dentist. She informed me that my crown was not done correctly and had a huge gap in it and that the gap had allowed food to get in there and It's also a place where you cannot brush and ultimately there is decay under my crown. So I have to get all the decay removed and fit for a whole other crown. And they are not even sure they can save the tooth. I wasn't happy with connies work then, and I'm super upset about it now. Connie, you have wasted my time and money and now probably my tooth. I hope your a better dentist now and giving your patients good service and caring about their teeth the way you should.
