When working in the shopping pit of Westfield chermside you end up seeing some pretty strange things. Now the most bizarre had to be the lineup to go INTO the newly minted Apple store in chermside. (I know people who had driven an hour or more just to get a peep at the gleaming facade. Such is the power of Apple corp!) As you would expect Apple set a new standard in shop fronts, everything is cool, slick and very modern. This store boasts all your favourite apple products as well as a huge wall of accessories. They offer great services such as how-to training days (Mostly filled with confused oldies) and advice from the aptly named Genius bar. A small word to the Claustrophobic, THERE ARE MANY MANY HUMANS IN THIS STORE. That's not just the patrons, the number of staff scuttling around are in the hundreds. And while service is a bit painful on busy days, the staff are usually attentive and helpful. If you're unsure on how to use your apple gear or desperately need the iPhone 4s, I recommend checking this place out. read more

This is an Apple Store. If the people working here are 'Apple Fan Boys' (or girls for that matter) then I think they are doing a good job of hiring their salespeople. The people who work here are also real. They have tattoos, they have facial hair, they have piercings and they don't. It's anyone, and everyone - but they know their Mac stuff. I came here recently because I had an issue with my iPhone camera. My appointment was on time, and the person who served me took it out the back and had it fixed within 15 minutes. The staff are friendly, and easy to locate in their blue shirts. While there are often many people here, it's a sign of how well Apple market their products. I use PC's at work, so can never go 100% mac in my life - but the service at this Apple store is what has swayed me to using iProducts in my day to day life. If anything goes wrong or I'm not sure what I'm doing I can just come to Chermside for help. read more

I have been a fan of this Apple Store since it opened. Today, however things changed for me as the sales assistant was the worst I have ever experienced. I booked a session to look at the Apple Watch 7. Our sales rep didn't even take me to the table containing the watches. He had no idea of the features, and showed no interest in helping my wife and I pick a watch or even explain the advantages of the current version over the older watch I currently have. We left very disappointed and have decided to not upgrade at this time. read more

I'll admit it. I'm an Apple fan. I'm that guy who's endlessly suggest that, " you got to get a Mac," to friends that don't really need one at all. I'm that dude who's looking for the next best app for the iPhone and iPad and will hardly use it. When I go to the Apple store (at Chermside) and see the guy with the slicked back uneven undercut and horn-rimmed glasses, it's true, I sometimes wish I worked there. Maybe because it looks like a store from the future, with its touch screen tablets on evenly placed tables. Maybe it's the promotion of a uniform individuality shared between the workers as they busily tap away on their iTouch's. Maybe I just want to be in there when a cheer goes out for at another sold product. From the outside, anyone would just want to go in there. The inside however is a different story. The majority of people huddled around the tables and benches, more than often, are actually waiting for a genius bar appointment. You'll find that as soon as you start to play with any of the products on the tables there are heaps of inbuilt restrictions preventing you from exploring the products. Half the staff are occupied because their selling items. The other half, those that look to be milling around, are just there to see if you're waiting for the genius bar. If you know what you want and its in store, go buy it don't bother with the staff. If you can find it cheaper order it. Do your research if before you go into the store, because some of the staff have a habit of looking down on you if you don't already know the answer to your question. Like I said, I like Apple products, the store looks inviting. The staff however can be a bit rotten. read more

When I had a problem with my iphone, I rang support and they told me there was just one place in Brisbane I could go to. The Apple Store Chermside. So I busted my ass across town and went there, only to find this shop was massive. There was a dude with an electronic something and earphones approaching me and asking me when my appointment was. These guys meant business. I told him that my appointment was for 1:30pm and wished and prayed that amongst the millions of people already in the store my waiting time wouldn't be long (wishful thinking maybe). It wasn't. I was ushered to the front of the queue near the back of the store and I was given a free charger in a matter of seconds. Excellent! Looking around this organised chaos, it is exactly that, chaos that is organised. Here you will find accessories for all things Apple, and let's face it, if you have anything Apple, you really have no choice but to go here. So it's not too bad. read more

Hmm I'm not that impressed by the Apple Store. To start with, the whole place drips with that Apple Fan Boy smugness which is enough to p*ss any self respecting geek off (in the words of a popular meme: OMG NEW MACBOOK = $2,000 Facebook machine). However, my husband is an artist so we all chipped in and bought him an iPad for his 40th (as a side note, the art stuff that can be done with this thing is incredible). I went online the night before, figured out JB's had the cheapest price, and went into the Apple Store to get them to match it. We went there because I wanted to see if there was anything extra the experience got you. What it got me was, well, smug Apple Fan Boy sales guy. We explained to him that we were very savvy users, we both owned iPhones and I've been using Macs my whole life (my Dad owned one in 1986 so that does give me a certain amount of cred). Yes he matched the price, but after waiting 20 mins for him to get the right one (no, we said black not white doofus) he then took us through the 'set up' (the reason we went to Apple, to see if there's anything their service adds). He then pointed out what the wi fi signal means. Even though we'd had the 'yes we know what we're doing conversation'. Can I have that 15 minutes of my life back please? read more

Fantastic. Displays are very playable. Service is super accommodating and you are sure to get attention as there is usually a 1:1 ratio of staff and customers. The Genius Bar is fantastic and they will usually bend over backwards to help you no matter how technologically challenged you are! read more

I'd decided to buy a laptop and went down to my local Mac Reseller to see what was on offer. the guy there gave me a reasonably relaxed, informative talk. I wondered why i would buy from a Reseller when we now have an Apple Store in Brisbane. Was there any benefit in buying direct from Apple? I rang them. after the usual menu rant, I got through to someone called Stefan. I explained what i wanted: to know whether Apple could offer me better support, information or service.. He transferred me to Tech support. When they couldn't help me, they also couldn't transfer me back without taking "information". I told them I'd phone Chermside back, which I did, and got through to the same guy. I told him to slow down and listen to me: explained again, but he said - politely - that he was part of a concierge service and didn't have the resources or time to talk to me. Okay, fair enough. Now i know why I'd use the Reseller. read more

I went into your store in chermside today, got an appointment got told it'll be an hour wait. Ok I'm cool with that. Wait for the hour, coming close to hour and a half, get the text saying you can come back so we did, All good keeping patient. Waited 40mins for are tech and asking another 3 people that were standing around looking into space if they could help me with just replacing my phone. Yeah ok in the end we got my phone replaced but 2hrs for a easy replacement is shit. You have heaps of staff on doing nothing when they could be helping people out and getting the wait down. I went into this store on the weekend and bought an item. I specifically asked for the payment to go through on EFTPOS not credit as I needed to claim it through work. The staff member assured me that it would. I was busy with my crying bub so i didn't realise until I got home that I hadn't put in my pin-hence the staff member had put it through on credit, grrrrr!!! I rang up and the guy I got was sooooo rude- 'nah cant help you at all, see ya' No sorry for the inconvenience etc. Sooooo annoyed I now have to drive back to Chermside half an hour away and return the item and buy it again. I wouldn't have been that annoyed except for the rudeness of the guy when I called up. Not good service in my opinion, they are happy to take your money but don't want to know if they are the ones who've stuffed up! read more

The worst service I have ever experienced, from the booking process (an Apple policy so not necessarily the store) to the in store service. Took my iphone 8 in to have the screen replaced (with everything else functioning as it should). Declined to have the phone replaced at a cost of approx. $150.00 (as under applecare and back glass also cracked) and just have the front screen replaced cost of $45.00. Phone was returned to me and I left the store only to find that the phone was at 1% battery and no longer accepts charge. Took it back to the store and they will only replace the phone if I pay the additional $105.00 to replace it even though the phone worked perfectly (even with the cracked screen) prior to me taking it into the store. The last time I will ever buy an apple product. read more

If I hadn't encountered employee "X" I'd quickly give this place 5 out of 5. For the most part, the staff are great, just like the rest of Apple staff around the world. Unfortunately, it seems that Apple Chermside has the proverbial bad Apple in the barrel, who I am referring to as employee X. One of the things that sets Apple apart from their competitors is their bottom line: their customers satisfaction. Employee X could not have cared less about my satisfaction as a customer or anyone's satisfaction other than his own. He was too busy trying to prove his point in a snarky passive aggressive manner. I would go as far to say employee X must hate customers and view them as a nuisance rather than an opportunity to positively reflect Apple's culture of customer-focused service. Had he handled the situation in a way that resembles Apple's usual customer service, I would not be wasting my time writing this review. The moral of this review: I will avoid Apple Chermside like the plague, and drive out of my way to go to an Apple store that actually seeks to help their customers. read more

Love the Apple Store, the staff are always awesome, the displays neat and tidy and there are loads of high quality accessories to choose from. They truly have this business model well sorted but it never comes across as forced and seems like a very natural shopping experience. read more

Worst customer service i've ever experienced! Booked an appointment a week in advance for my laptop battery to be serviced, went into apple and had my name checked off. They told me they would be with me shortly. I waited an hour and a half no one bothered to check with how I was doing, the salespeople just looked at me and walked past. I had to go into uni that day but I missed all my appointments due to waiting an hour and a half as well as my laptop still broken. I just walked out of there after waiting an hour and a half. They seemed to be more interested in their sales of their products rather than helping me fix my laptop. This makes me never want to buy from apple again and switch to android. read more
