I have never met someone so knowledgeable about the chemistry of hair and how to treat it and she gave me exactly what I wanted! My hair was highlighted and kissed with a little red to look beachy and rich. It was my first time so I got a free cut too. I have long hair and she left it perfectly long doing exactly as I wished. It normally takes me so long to find a salon to stick with because I'm so picky but I'm so lucky to have found the Alternative Hair Studio. It was a 3 hour process but it felt so fast because they were so kind and offered refreshments. I recommend this place because it's clean, friendly, professional, and my hair felt healthier after the visit.

I never even knew this place existed until my stylist moved here years ago to start her own booth rent business. As you can clearly see, my hair is very brassy/orange, not blended, and the highlights start too close to the roots. This is not balayage at all and looks nothing like the reference I provided. I also reached out to the salon owner/manager to explain the issue, but she was not helpful at all and did not offer any real solution to fix it. For the amount I paid, this is completely unacceptable -- both the result and the customer service. I would strongly not recommend this salon. Poor service and poor results.
