As I was driving to the area I noticed that I was miles away from the center area of the enter in an area that was more industrial and somewhat run down. Upon arriving at the hotel the owner who greeted us was sweating profusely and asked that I leave the door open. That should've been my first hit while my fiancé went to unpack I brought the car to the garage at his suggestion because of parking issues on the streets it was about a 5 Block drive and when I returned she explained to me that she couldn't get the air conditioning to work. The owner explained, they don't have air conditioning they don't need it. This was the coolest day of the week that we were staying and temperatures the next day were due to climb 10 to 15°, the 90s, 35°C. The suite was about 15° warmer in the air temperature outside however the windows we're only open like a door where someone could walk in off the street or else 2 inches at the top. I was stunned that a property listed as four stars on Hotels.com with excellent reviews, we had no air conditioning, they brought us a fan which did not work. I asked if they had ice or an ice cube trays since there was a refrigerator in the suite and I was also told they didn't use much ice in Austria so they didn't have either but was directed to a gas station three blocks away. We also had to buy shampoo bars of soap and hair conditioner. The problem with the windows open was we could not get any cross ventilation the air was absolutely still in the stand fan that he brought did not move any air, just made a lot of noise. The street was very noisy with trucks people talking and motorcycles we had a hot sweaty sleepless night. I packed our bags made a reservation at a nice all suite hotel closer to the center of the city and we left. This property has done an excellent job of managing the reviews, we were never asked to submit a review by Hotels.com. In fairness the bedrooms living room and kitchen area were very spacious. However in summer months when temperatures and humidity can soar even in Austria, I found this property to be uninhabitable. Apparently they can claim they have air conditioning because on the top floor there are suites with climate control, however we were on the street level and it was a noisy sauna. Perhaps if I was there in the fall or winter my experience will be different. I would advise anyone who is considering staying here in the summer to reconsider. There is a train about two blocks away but you can take to the edge of center city. Viana also has an excellent system of subways for getting around. Parking everywhere is very difficult

A ground floor apartment was our home for six weeks as we were moving to Austria, and we really enjoyed staying there. A fully-equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, two bedrooms -- it had everything our family needed for a long stay. On the 43 tram, we were in to the center of the city in 15-20 minutes. The immediate surroundings are an interesting urban neighborhood with food and drink options as well as having a large hardware store around the corner. Also around the corner is a bike path that takes you in 5 minutes by bike to a vineyard and 10 minutes to the forest surrounding Vienna. All-in-all, a great stay and we would definitely stay again in the future.

Prior to check-in, I was informed my key would be available by a lockbox upon arrival mid afternoon. The day of arrival, I was informed that my keys would be available at the travel agency next door. The front desk is only staffed after 6 pm and again after 8 am. It was my first time with a hotel using a physical key... Despite the listing claiming 300+ sq feet, the studio felt smaller...maybe the square footage included the balcony and the hallways? I booked the unit as it claimed to have a washer in unit. Turns out the washer and dryer were in the basement. Both were complimentary and also had laundry detergent available. The shower was beyond tiny. There was no room to move around when lathering, which required opening the door to do so. Water pressure was ok and the tiny soaps were so tiny that I wasn't able to use them...bummer. The mattress was a nightmare as it was severely sagging, leaving me with back pains after a full night's "rest"... The pillow was also super soft and thin. Wifi was complimentary and the password was featured inside the book on the desk. Outlets were limited and required making adjustments to charge all my devices. The kitchenette was fantastic with a microwave, electric plug in cooktop, along with some dishes (they needed a cleaning before using) Housekeeping was done daily although I must have "missed" them on my second night... Not sure how to request more towels if used towels are supposed to be on the ground and the front desk isn't always staffed...

Singerstrasse is very centrally located - more so than most hotels, in fact - and well furnished in a smart, modern style. So, you will have to forgo a few things you would get in a hotel - there's no gym or pool, for instance, and no room service (but then you do have the kitchen). Rooms range in size from hotel bedroom to medium-sized apartment. There is also a car park.
