AAA was useless, as there were so many accidents and cars & semi-trucks were off the road on both sides of the interstate. Luckily the TN Highway patrol changed out tire to the mickey-mouse spare, and we made it back to Discount Tire. They had the exact tire in inventory and got us on our way within a half hour. As we crossed the VA-TN border at 1 PM on route 81S, we had a blow-out and had to pull over to the side of the road. AAA was useless as there were accidents all over the city and cars & semi-trucks were off the interstate. I called Tire Choice in Bristol (6 miles from us), gave them our tire size, and made an appointment with them for 5:30 - the last appointment of the day. We hoped we would be on the road before they close at 6 PM. Luckily, after about a 2 hour wait in the cold with trucks inches away from us, the TN Highway patrol changed our tire to the "mickey mouse" spare right there in the storm. Kudos to them - they were simply awesome. We got to Tire choice by 3:30. When I went to the door, it was locked; they had all gone home. The door indicated that they were open until 6. AND WE HAD AN APPOINTMENT. So thanks for the call, and thanks for leaving us in the lurch, guys - way to go! I called Discount Tire, another 6 miles away, and they got us in-and-out in 20 minutes. So my rating of Tire Choice? What do you think? They're Skunks!
