The receptionist said she wanted to reach out to her boss to see if they could come by. she asked if she could call me back and did so, within minutes. They Dia my forty-year old furnace and it was clear it needed to be replaced. They emailed me three options within the hour and I was able to get it installed the next day. Aaron was my tech. He was courteous, competent, and professional. He even spent time at the end of the job to make sure everything worked properly. This business has deceptive business practices, and misleading information. Do NOT use this company. I called to ask to have someone put Freon in the AC unit Bc it has a leak and gets low every few years. I did NOT ask for a diagnostic and was SURE of wha the problem. I forced to pay $100 for a diagnostic fee AND the money for the Freon I knew I needed. There's a sign on the side of each truck that says "free estimates"- Lindsey fought tooth and nail to say that I needed the diagnostic and that estimates are only free for "new equipment". Great. Apollo replaced one of my central air conditioning units (compressor and interior unit) in April for over $4,200. Now that it's summer, that unit has never met the temperature demand on the thermostat. If it's set for 69, the lowest it will get is 74. Prior to the breakdown of my old unit, meeting the temperature demand on this zone had never been a problem. Now I'm having a hard time even getting them to come to the house to service the system and they're being squirrelly about the warranty. Wish I could go back in time and accept a different bid on this project. read more

We moved in to a older home a few years ago with and old NOISY furnace and no central air. The furnace made it through the winter but my wife wasn't going to make it through the summer with out air. So we started getting bids and got several estimates ranging from over $12,000 to under $5000. Apollo wasn't the lowest but wasn't anywhere near the highest and after subtracting the federal tax rebate, DTE rebate, and manufacturers rebate we got almost $3000 back. We also signed up for the six months no interest credit card they offered and paid it off over half a year while the rebates came in. We were concerned about the noise of the A/C unit because our city requires the neighbors permission if you want it on the side of you house. While trying to convince my neighbor that noise wasn't going to be a problem (and it isn't) Ed even came out and talked to her about her concerns. They also put me in touch with a customer who purchased the same unit I was going to have installed so I could go out and see and hear it for myself. They installed everything in one long Saturday and passed the city inspection with ease. read more

Had to replace a hot water heater recently. They checked it out and installed the equipment same day. It doesn't always work out so smoothly, but in our case, things fell into place. These guys are nice, and work to help the customer as quick as possible. read more

Kevin came out and quoted one price and then a couple hours after called and doubled the price. Our house was just finished painting and he ignored our request to use a ladder to the attic and not the stairs. He left a ton of marks and were having to repaint. I had a new furnace and central air conditioning unit installed by Apollo Heating and Cooling about 6/7 years. I have not had any issues with the units. July 7, 2020 while outside I hear an unfamiliar noise coming from the unit outside. I called and left a message on the the after hour service line indicating I was inquiring on a tuneup for the unit. I received a return call July 8, 2020 the following morning from Lindsay. One of the first questions she asked is where do I live. Lindsay said she could put me on the list because they were servicing customers without air first, since all I needed was a tuneup and it'll be a couple of weeks before someone could come out, which I inquired what's a couple of weeks, she said 3. I indicated I'm hearing a noise coming from the unit. After a few more questions she said she'll call me back in 10 min. Ten minutes became 1-1/2 hrs later. When Lindsay called back she asked if I'd checked my filter and then stated my unit was no longer under its 5 years warranty. I asked when did I purchase the unit 2012/2013, she says yes. I asked what year. She then says and we no longer service your area. I asked if she knew of a service provider in my area, and she replied with a quick no. I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED, after researching to find a reputable company (established 1981) to make a major investment and now I'm being told the company no longer service my area ?? I would've been receptive if I was a new customer and they'd said they no longer serviced my area but to discontinue service to past customers and they're still in business is unacceptable. Later in the day around 2:30, 7/7/20, I called and asked to speak to the owner or manager. I was put on hold with loud waiting music and when someone came back to the line the line disconnected. I called back and said apparently we were disconnected and I was waiting to speak with an owner/manager. The lady answering this time stated she spoke with me earlier. I asked her name and she said Lindsay. I said ok, I'm waiting to speak with owner/manager or is there a corporate number I could call. Lindsay said they're not in. I asked for their names and she said she wasn't privy to give me this information. I asked when were the owner/manager expected. She didn't know they were in and out. Lindsay then says because of COVID, they're not going into homes. I said I didn't need anyone in my home my problem was on the outside. I'm not sure or why I was getting all the excuses; 1-she could put me on a 3 week waiting list, 2-they're servicing customers without air first, 3-my warranty expired, 4- I can't get the names of whomever is over this business, or if its a corporation. I indicated I would like to resolve my issues with whoever was in charge before filing a complaint. Lindsay said she could take my name and number and needed more information as to why and what my complaint was about. I said since I'm getting limited information from you, there's no need for further discussion and when I receive a return call from owner/manager I can go into further details. Today is 7/11/2020 and I'm still waiting to hear from owner/manager and I'm guessing the manager/owner is still in and out or my message was not relayed. Still waiting . . . read more

I bought a complete furnace and air conditioner from Apollo in 2009. At the beginning of Summer 2016 my A/C stopped working. I called them to fix it. They said the coolant was leaking and they needed to put dye in the system and to call them back when the unit stopped cooling again. When I called them back, they still couldn't find the problem, but were happy to charge me for another service call and more coolant, always with the same "call us back when it stops working again." For one of these visits, I was supposed to be their first call of the morning. I got a voicemail from them that morning confirming my appointment....but they never showed up. Their voicemail said nothing about my needing to call them back, yet when I called to find out what happened, they told me since I didn't answer my phone they cancelled my appointment (without informing me!) Well, now that I knew that's how they do business (their time is golden, but my time is worth nothing to them) I made sure to sit by my phone for the next appointment. Guess what? "We tried to call you three times, and no one answered, so we cancelled your appointment." Gee, funny how that could happen when I was SITTING NEXT TO MY PHONE ALL MORNING waiting to hear from them. It's a very convenient game they play to clear up their schedule, all at the customer's expense. I got tired of the missed appointments and their inability to fix the problem. After a summer and a half of no A/C, I gave up on them and called the A/C manufacturer, who sent out someone from another dealer who actually knows what he's doing, and who actually shows up when he says he will. Furthermore, he informed me that my A/C was subject to a recall and class-action lawsuit and he was incredulous that Apollo never notified me of either of those things. I recommend Apollo only if you like sitting around waiting for no one to show up, and getting nothing done even if they do manage to keep your appointment! read more

My experience with Apollo was excellent. From my first conversations with Mark it was all positive. The recommendations from Mark to install a ductless system were a great fit for my house. I was skeptical about the system but after some research it was the best option for limited ductwork and missing ductwork from hard to reach areas. Jason and Kyle were the installers and were very pleasant. They were helpful explaining the process and how to operate the system. After the install was complete they made sure everything was cleaned up, though for the work that was done it was very clean throughout the process. About a year ago, I was charged $137 for a service call and diagnostic test on my a/c. My air was running continuously. I knew something wasn't right. Everything checked out okay and I was told in Arizona, the a/c runs all day. I was also told to leave it on..not to turn it off when it is cooler out because the a/c would have to work harder to get the humidity out of the air. I felt like I was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about and this was a needless service call. Well, I accepted his answer and let it be. Well, now here we are in the present and I still had a feeling something wasn't right. My a/c was still running constantly and wouldn't turn off until about 3 am. at a 76 degree setting. I decided to call another company out. All diagnostics checked out, but he knew that something had to be wrong. The a/c shouldn't be running and not cooling my condo. He also noticed I should have more air vents. On inspection of the crawl space, he discovered in the past that the floor had been replaced and two ducts were never hooked up, so they were left laying on the ground. Needless to say, I have been heating and cooling my crawlspace for a total of over 2 years and to the exact date today a year when Apollo, since I only see a 'B' for the tech's name, came out and charged me $137 for nothing. Oh and by the way the other company only charged me for the service call. He didn't charge me for any of the diagnostic tests. read more

Received a quote from this company and accepted the proposal within 60 days, only to be told that the price would be 25% higher because their crews were busy on other jobs. Seriously? I would suggest going with a reputable company that will honor their proposals. FYI - The proposal DID NOT have any time frame on it. read more
