She's super quick doing eye brow threading that is almost painless. Very professional and clean. This place is by appointment only but it's easy to get scheduled same-day. I was hesitant to try threading due to a previous bad experience, but my skin had become so sensitive that I couldn't wax anymore. So I found this place and decided to try again. This was my first time here and after reading everyone's reviews I felt like I had to go here especially after hearing comments that she's quick and it's not as painful compared to other "threaders" (lol not sure the correct terminology). Anyways, my personal experience was that she (I'm not sure what her name was since she didn't really introduce herself except say hi) was very quiet but seemed like she just went straight to business (no small talk like I'm used to but that's ok). Maybe that's why she was so quick. I honestly arrived about 7 min before my scheduled appointment. Keep in mind, she only takes appointments. Luckily, I was able to get squeezed in on the same day. I'm not from here and just moved to TX so I'm glad she was able to make it happen. Also, her business is at her home but there is a room designated for threading, facials, etc. Anyways, she was super quick and got me out of there in about 5 minutes after threading my eyebrows, upper lip, and bottom lip. The best part was that it only cost $11 for all of that. I usually pay about $20 for all three. Also, she didn't overthread my eyebrows and make them super thin or cut my skin. She just cleaned them up and she was done. I will definitely come here next time I'm in town! read more

I highly appreciate a well shaped set of brows, but I was spending three times (literally! 3X!!) more money for threading in my area, only to find my brows too thin and butchered. I heard rave reviews of Apka Salon from a friend, and after advising me to leave my brows alone for several weeks, Devika shaped my bushy eyebrows into the best I've ever had. They don't service males. Called when they were suppose to open, no answer, there was a voicemail option, but I didn't want to leave one so I would call back later. She actually called me back w/in 15 minutes, but told me that they don't do male eyebrows. Weird since last I checked its hair on my face. I had waxing and threading here. I had a worst experience. In the past 12 years, I never saw liquid wax. The person who was doing waxing for me was applying this liquid hot wax over and over. I experienced horrible pain and rashes all over. I would never visit them and also vl not recommended anyone. For threading as well, i need to mention show the remaining hair multiple times. read more

After reading a few of the reviews on Yelp, I decided to try Apka Salon and Spa as I have been unsuccessful finding skilled estheticians in the Round Rock area. I went to Devika for eyebrow threading and waxing of the full legs and under arms. I was pleased with how she listened and followed simple instructions/requests as every client is different. Her prices are very reasonable and her most importantly her process is sanitary. My only "feedback" would be to pay attention to detail. I understand that some clients aren't as particular as others but I would have liked her to look over the area closely after threading/waxing and remove glaring areas and or hairs that were missed without me having to ask. Today was my first time seeing Devika. My usual salon closed (Siri Salon and Day Spa) who I was very partial to. I called on a Sunday and she called back that day and fit me in for a late Tuesday appointment. I was a little skeptical of going to a salon out of the beautician's residential home, but went through with it anyhow. I was pleased to see that she keeps a very clean home and salon area. I had gone to Devika on and off for about 1 year. I believe she picks and chooses who she will see. I left her message after message and finally she called me back and said I never left my phone number. Two weeks later... same thing message after message. Each attempt to reach her I made certain I left my phone number and again she never returned my call. Finally she picked up, and scheduled my appointment, when I got there I asked what's been going on, I told her again I've left several messages. She seemed quite annoyed and she again said I never left me phone number. This time I was positive I had left my number. I was in and out of her home within 6-10 mins, never had much conversation, never late... and I just couldn't figure out what I had done for her un-welcoming behavior.
