I spent two weeks in the hospital and was told by physicians it would be months before I could walk or talk again. The doctors suggested in patient care and told me, I would "feel normal" again in 2-3 years. I saw Dr. Michelle shortly after getting out of the hospital and she gave me small physical and mental exercises just to get my brain going in the right direction. Her techniques were gentle enough to slowly bring my body out of this "shocked state." She made time in her busy schedule to bring me in multiple times a week at first. Her treatment goes beyond adjustments, she gives advice, suggestions, and sometimes homework. This method of treatment proved to provide incredible results. A year of treatment with Dr. Michelle and I have participated in a climbing competition, a half marathon, and I am back finishing grad school. Although, I am not feeling 100% normal, I know my body is stronger than I previously believed. Dr. Michelle had confidence in the capabilities of my body when I did not. She knew when to push me and when to baby me. I have no idea what I would have done without her and will forever be thankful.

Most people turn to look for supportive care once their body has been stressed and imbalanced to the point of pain. I was fortunate not to be experiencing pain in my body, but I did have a lot of discomfort, stiffness and tension in my upper body due to my head wanting to always jut forward. I was looking for preventive and health sustaining care out of my experience with chiropractic and that is exactly what I feel I am receiving here. I greatly appreciate that Dr. Iselin's adjustments are gentle and not overly aggressive because I find that this approach gives my body the time to correct its patterning & the opportunity to integrate each series of adjustments without having rebound tenderness & soreness that I have experienced in the past with other more abrupt styles of chiropractic adjustments. Dr. Iselin takes the time to explain how our bodies respond over time to a consistent level of care and then gradually begin to hold these adjustments better and then less frequent visits are needed. I also love being able to walk in to receive care without a scheduled appointment and have some time to lay on the massaging therapy tables that relax my spine and nervous system before receiving an adjustment. Thank you to Claire and Dr. Iselin for their continuous health care support and commitment to helping me feel my best.

The last time I went to a Chiropractor I didn't have a good experience, they told me I was going to have to come in 60 times to fix the problem. Very nice office with friendly staff, they were even in network with my insurance. I get neck and back pain from going all out when I was younger with sports. I tweeked my shoulder shoulder lately and really wanted to see what they could do. Dr. Mainieri examined my shoulder and spine, did some kind of nerve machine test and told me he could get me fixed in about 8 treatments. What a relief. He also showed me some exercises and stretches to help heal it. Really straight forward and no sales stuff, what a nice change from the past experience. The Chiropractic treatment really loosened up my neck and back, and it was just the right pressure. Sometimes I've been treated by other Chiropractors and they just keep slamming on me. Okay after the 10th time its probably not going to work! The massage was excellent, forgot the name of the gal, but it was a real sports massage or deep tissue. I wish their hours were a little bit earlier, but other than that greate experience.

AND this chiropractor came highly recommended from someone that lives in my building! Cap Hill continues to reveal its unique neighborhood treasures well into year 2 of living here! I emergency made an appt here because I had had several shooting pain episodes at my part-time job and had no idea what was happening. I had gone to 2 Thai massages and they did help some things but the shooting pain thing down my leg returned. During my first appointment with Dr. Eisenhower, I felt like one of those wooden faceless dolls that people use to learn how to draw anatomy from. Dr. Eisenhower just pulled every limb and my spine and neck and literally uncrunched everything! He said I adjusted well. I had no idea how crunched everything had become! I had been working at this new job for only 4 months! I literally felt like a new person after my major first adjustment and found the ice pack on the roller machine afterward to be very pleasant. I could even put my hands palms to the floor bending forward which had not been possible for several months! I felt slight elation as well! I literally felt like I had just been woken up in LIFE. Prices are extremely reasonable and if you've been going to chiropractors throughout your life for 40+ years, then you've probably seen a RANGE of what goes on at a chiropractor. Dr. Eisenhower's place is very calming and his personality is friendly and calm. He does not seem to be aggressively selling a "chiropractic lifestyle". So that felt very positive. I've been 6 times now and am very pleased that I have not had any further shooting pains and I feel well on the way to a full recovery.
