Update: scam scam scam. The next day I had the codes ran, no codes came up. The following day i did the smog. Truck passed with no problems. No codes came up. I did absolutely nothing to the truck. So either Their equipment is faulty, they failed me on purpose, Or they failed me due to incompetence/ operator error.
I'm absolutely astounded. I call and ask if I can get my smog done and how long the wait is. They tell me there is no wait so I head down. When I show up there's someone in front of me, no problem. I wait patiently while he pulls my truck into the stall and has it back there for about 10 minutes. He then pulls it out, parks it and proceeds to tell me that he cannot do my smog because he cannot find the sensor. (Instead of asking me while I was right next to the garage). Confused, I point directly at it. He says "that's not it". I explain to him exactly where it is, and then he walks away. I walk up to my truck and find the sensor immediately. He tells me again "that's not it" I reply "what do you mean" and then take the cap off. The entire confusion was over the fact that it had a cap on it... I don't work on cars and I know exactly what that is.
So apparently now I'm at the back of the line because the tech didn't know how to find the sensor. Fine, again, whatever. So finally they get to me, mind you, now I'm late for my next appointment. He comes back, and fails me. So, I ask why, reasonable right? He tells me it's not his job to explain it to me. I say what do you mean you should be able to tell me why I failed? The front desk guy sighs and whispers under his breath "this is f****ing ridiculous" thinking I can't hear him. But I clearly can because it was blatantly audible. I'm beside myself, but I choose to overlook it and tell him to wait so I can call someone who can explain it to me because I'm confused. He responds "well, can I just check you out?" Very impatiently. I say "I have questions and you can't or won't answer them." He repeats himself being even more pushy. I say you can be patient with me like I was with you. He shakes his head as I walk away to talk to my mechanic. My mechanic is confused as well but advises me there's not much I can do. The tech comes out explains that they don't know all the codes. I explained that it's not that I expect you to know all the codes.
I explain my experience stated above and that I'm unhappy because of the way I was treated not that I was failed (I get that's out of their power). The tech replies that he does not believe me. I tell him my experience and service was terrible and they had earned a bad review. He says he hopes I don't leave one. I reply that I'm reasonable, if you made any effort to towards improving my experience. He refused saying " I'm not going to do that" so I repeat "well you earned the review". As I drive away I look back and the clerk is flipping me the middle finder. Class act. read more
