Beautiful office environment. Nice nurses. But I had muscle relaxers like Botox, Xeomin, and Dysport at least for that last 15 years. They are injected to your areas of demand. Funny to discover that while these are injections, on top of the unit price, they charge you $.50.00 for the act of INJECTION.!!!!! read more

Forewarning: I went for a routine skin check that should have been covered by my insurance only to get hit with a surprise bill because they "changed thier policy" and won't bill preventive codes anymore. That would have been nice to know BEFORE my visit. read more

Quick and easy to get an appointment when I had a concern. I felt listened to and presented with options regarding my concerns.

Sadly, the Dr. that I had seen in the past had gone to a different office. So I had a new male Dr. that was at the Mayfield Hts office. He came in, introduced himself .. looked at me from a far, and told me, "everything looks good!" Well it wasn't - I asked him what a spot on my shoulder was? He said, "oh that's nothing!" I asked him to Biopsy it, again he stated, "it's nothing I guarantee it .. but if you want it done, I'll do it, but I'm telling you it's nothing!" He did a biopsy .. and his "guarantee" turned out to be Cancer!!! What if I did not insist? Yep, you won't see me there ever again .. warning you're just a number! what a great place! important issue-getting an appointment that was easy & only days away - not weeks or months. facility new & beautiful. all personnel extremely friendly & efficient. pa & assist. addressed long standing fungal/yeast issue with appropriate scripts to stop any more outbreaks. exam indicated no psoriasis or eczema. discussed products to use in future & have an "all skin" appt in 2 months. this is the place to call - and actually talk to a "live" person both for appts. & questions. what a fabulous concept. called day after appt. to pass on important information about sensitive skin products & actually talked to an assist who took the message to give to my wonderful pa-michelle. 5 stars read more

Went in for one thing but then talked about getting these red cherry marks removed from my head. They said no problem. $230 and they can laser them off. So I decided to pull the trigger and make an apt. I got there and they stated they quoted me wrong it would be $250. Ok, $20 more, not a big deal. Part way through the process she tells me it's going to need a second treatment for another $250. Ok, I am not made of money and it would have been nice to know before she started that it would end up costing me $500. Feels like a way for them to pay off the new building. We love Apex! We tried them out after getting appointments in the 3-6 month range with our clinic dermatologists. We always get appointments promptly with Apex, staff is absolutely wonderful and patient, and Dr Delost is fabulous. He is genuinely kind and great with kids. My son loves him. He explains everything patiently and describes options in a way that we can understand. And there is no waiting! We were recently in and out in 20 minutes, which included check-in, consultation and treatment. Wish all doctors' visits were this easy and convenient. read more

Apex has an experienced group of professionals. I have eczema and skin sensitivities to fragrances and other ingredients. Apex has products that work for people like me with sensitive skin, and they provided me with the right treatment plan on my first appointment. I have spent unnecessary money with most of the dermatologists that I have used in the past because they had a trial and error approach. At Apex, they listened to my concerns, asked the right questions and delivered the right solutions. I trust them so much that I have moved beyond topical soaps and ointments to trying microneedling on my face. That was a huge step for me, and I am very pleased with the results! read more

Had a mole removed.  I was told no scar would be left, which is not the case.  Was charged almost 3 TIMES more then an office where I had a mole removed months earlier.  Billing dept. was not helpful at all.  Doctor and nurse were very nice but way over priced and left scar. Update: After calling billing dept. again they agreed to a 20% discount. read more

I still concur that Dr DeLost is efficient, and can certainly understand that he cares enough to have the patient return for a follow up visit. BUT, am I incorrect, that most doctors, for a follow up don't charge? Apex does! I paid another deductable, and my insurance had to pay another claim, for a 5 minute visit! I honestly doubt that my other doctors charge for follow up, especially at the doctor's request. (It's like a siding or windows salesman, slipping in charges) So give that some thought before visiting there. They're not the only Dermatologist group in Cleveland! Shop around. read more

Was a patient of Dr Taub, but after his retirement, I saw Dr Lohser two times and the appointments were good. Office is clean and new and parking is plentiful. However when scheduling any type of procedure, get the price IN WRITING. Ask questions about what is covered by insurance and get a detailed statement with the insurance billing codes for EVERYTHING before you leave the office. Billing staff is argumentative and unkind. In the end, didn't even get a return call to find out where things stand. After leaving a message 3 weeks ago, finally had to ask again. Was told they made an error! So disappointing that the practice my dermatologist merged with actually made it hard to remain a patient there after his retirement. read more
