I have been training with Coach City for about 7 months now and it has been the best journey! She has helped me feel better not just physically but mentally as well. I have become stronger, have built up my endurance and I actually have the energy to keep up with my two kids. City has been a great help on this journey of mine to be strong and healthy and she helps and motivates me to do better every day! Very thankful for her and her guidance on this journey!

Apex has been the most encouraging and friendly gym I've ever been to, Coach Calvin has been working with me for almost a year now and the dedication and accountability has been so great for me, Calvin is constantly checking in with me and making sure he's helping me reach my goals every step of the way. I'd highly recommend anyone needing assistance to sign up with Calvin or any trainer at Apex

Coach Michael has helped me not only get in shape physically but also mentally, which I'm so grateful for. Leading up to my wedding I felt so much more confident thanks to the work we put in. The coaches here truly care about you and your progress, and the gym is always clean and organized which is such a bonus. Couldn't recommend Apex more!

Coach City and Coach Michael coaching me through my first powerlifting competition
Alberto O.

Hello, I have been going to this gym since the first day it opened. Coach City and Coach Michael have trained me through different kinds of programs: strength and conditioning, Olympic lifting, and now powerlifting. They have always taken the time to start slow to master all the different kinds of forms through every workout before adding weight. They are also never knowledgeable on how to adjust workouts if your are recovering from an injury. They will personally teach you extra stretches and mobility movements to help you through your recovery period. I highly recommend this gym to everyone no matter where you are in your workout journey. If you are just beginning your workout journey, this is perfect. Coach City and coach Michael will help you select a program based on your goals and will walk you through the workouts. If you are further along your workout journey, it's a perfect place to try different programs and perfect place to master your forms. The gym is always growing and improving to their customers needs. So stop by and give them a try.

The…read moregym is consistently clean, the equipment is in good condition, and there's enough variety to keep my workouts interesting. The staff are approachable and always greet members with a positive attitude, which makes the gym feel welcoming. I also like that the environment is motivating without feeling intimidating, whether you're just starting out or have been working out for years. What keeps me coming back is how easy it is to get a solid workout in without any hassle. Overall, I've had a great experience here and would recommend Curl Fitness Westminster to anyone looking for a well-maintained gym with a friendly atmosphere.

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: Fair is fair, and when a…read morebusiness makes an effort to correct a problem, I believe that deserves to be acknowledged too. After my original review, Curl Fitness management, Eric Doan contacted me and invited me to come in and talk about what had happened. We had a good conversation, and most importantly, they came up with a solution that allows me to keep my membership without having my personal checking account used for automatic withdrawals. We agreed that I can place a prepaid Visa card on file instead. That addresses the issue that caused all of this in the first place and allows me to continue going to a gym that, aside from this billing problem, I have enjoyed being a member of. I appreciate management taking my complaint seriously, speaking with me face-to-face, and working toward a solution rather than simply accepting the cancellation. My original review reflected my experience at the time, so I'm not going to pretend the frustration didn't happen. But this update reflects my experience now: management listened, worked with me, and found a reasonable solution. That's good customer service, and they deserve credit for making it right. Looks like Curl Fitness and I aren't breaking up after all. Original review: Want to hear an interesting business model? Customer pays membership every month. Customer asks gym to stop automatically debiting her checking account. Customer continues coming into the gym and PAYING HER MEMBERSHIP IN PERSON. Gym keeps trying to debit the bank account anyway. Customer gets hit with insufficient-funds fees. Customer repeatedly asks gym to stop. Gym says, "We need manager authorization." Problem continues. And then comes the grand solution: "If you don't want a checking account attached to your membership, you'll have to cancel your membership." Excuse me? I had been a member for approximately a year and a half. My dues were paid. I wasn't asking for free membership. I wasn't refusing to pay. I simply did not want Curl Fitness automatically withdrawing money from my checking account anymore. Apparently that request was so impossible to accommodate that I had to CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP just to stop the attempted withdrawals. So congratulations, Curl Fitness. You lost a loyal, paying customer who actually wanted to remain a member because your billing policy apparently mattered more than keeping a customer who paid her dues every month. The gym itself wasn't the reason I left. The billing practices were. 1/5 -- and that's only because zero isn't an option.

What made the experience even more frustrating was that the policy they referenced didn't seem to be clearly communicated or consistently enforced. Instead of being treated like a long-time member, I felt singled out and accused of doing something wrong before I had even entered the gym floor. I've always enjoyed coming to Chuze Fitness because of the welcoming atmosphere, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope management addresses how situations like this are handled and ensures employees communicate with members in a respectful, professional manner instead of making them feel targeted. After 13 years of being a loyal member, I expected much better.

The new shower products are an upgrade from the old ones. The reason my rating is low; The main issue I have here is that I frequently see people taking selfies in the locker room. I used to complain about it, but management doesn't seem to do anything. I get an email that it's serious or a phone call and I appreciate it, but nothing seems to happen. Just today, I went through the locker room to go to the party that the gym was having, and I saw a girl taking selfies in the locker room. Other women were changing there, so it wasn't like she was all alone. It's super easy to get photos of people changing in the background. I have easily seen people taking selfies in the locker room at least a dozen of times in the last couple years. We change there. We don't have our clothes on. Why is it okay to take a photo? Even if you aren't intending to photograph others, which most people aren't, people can easily show up in the background. It makes me so uncomfortable. I avoid changing in the locker room now, or if I do, I try to hide in the back. Changing in the bathroom stalls isn't easy because things can fall into the toilet and changing in the shower is wet and the showers sometimes get crowded. It has decreased how much I value this gym, and I am hesitant to recommend it to others. I pay a lot for the gym and amenities, but if I have to constantly look over my shoulder, it ruins the experience. And when I do shower here, I have to bring clothes I can immediately change into in the shower to minimize walking around undressed in case someone decides to take a selfie and I happen to be in the reflection in the mirror. This also limits my ability to do stuff in the locker room like put lotion on. If I complain, I feel l get labeled as a "Karen". Staff doesn't seem to care. People get upset if you talk to them, and I shouldn't have to. I get emails from management that they take this seriously, but if they did they could at least put prominent signs on the mirrors in the locker rooms or have staff members remind women in the locker room not to take photos.

While this gym does the job for my personal gains and goals, there are some negatives that will hinder others' fulfilment with their memberships. + The small patch of artificial turf is well-kept and has the necessary equipment (kettles, medicine balls, dumbbells, etc.) + The lifting platforms and free weights area are also cared for with available bars / various weight amounts + Several TVs facing the cardio area streaming the entire time (also a few scattered on the walls for the weight area) - Hygienically, the place is poorly managed. Dust, hair, used paper towels, and more are found on the floor and machines. In regards to the men's restroom, it doesn't really get any better; every other sink and hand dryer (and urinal???) tends to be broken and grimy. - The machines are 50/50; half do their job and the others are out of order. Additionally, most of the available treadmills have disabled/unusable incline settings (stuck at a flat 0). Despite the frequent malfunctions, they don't seem to be so adamant about actually fixing them... In general, it's a major unbalance that depends on what you strive for in your regimen, which REALLY shouldn't be the case. While weightlifters fare off better with the setup, more casual gym goers will likely have a lackluster experience. PS: There are definitely certain things I did not cover such as group training and pool/sauna usage, but I haven't experienced them.

I was originally going to give it a 4 star rating but reading all the other reviews for it I'm a…read morebit weary about the things I haven't experienced yet, only because I haven't used what the consistent complaints seem to be. So instead, let me tell you why I appreciated my visit here the week I have gone and why I plan on continuing coming when I'm near. Firstly, a little back story. This Eos used to be a Gold's Gym. Back in October of last year all the Gold's Gym locations in California, except the original one in Venice Beach, were bought out and converted to Eos Fitness. You can see some of that DNA in the styling of the interior. The industrial design of exposed roof and HVAC along with long open spaces. As far as how Eos has rebranded the space, the color scheme has changed from yellow and black to Eos' corporate blue, white, and grey. There isn't much personality there, but that seems to be consistent with every Gold's Gym-turned-Eos I've visited One of the complaints I've heard from previous reviews has been about it being busy, but I've been going in the morning and this place is only about 30-40 people in at once. I've had no problem waiting for equipment except for when a specific machine is being used and someone beat me to it. Most gyms I've been to are busy around the 4 PM - 8 PM when everyone gets out of work so I wonder if that's where complaints have been, but compared to other gyms I've been too, this place is low on crowds in the AM. Additionally, the equipment here feels quite well maintained and new. I figured it was most likely because of lack of attendance from people going to this gym but there was a few machines I felt like they only recently acquired because it felt and looked new. The sauna (for the men's locker room) is also huge compared to the small ones I've visited at other Eos gyms. I think the size made it harder for it to get as hot as I would have liked, but that might also be because someone could have lowered the temperature before I walked in. Overall, I can understand the complaints I've read in the reviews for this place. Perhaps in the eyes of people who've experienced a non-converted Gold's Gym Eos expect more access and don't care as much about the equipment or aesthetics of a place. But as someone who was a long time Gold's Gym member and experiencing these new Eos' who've taken over my beloved gym chain, I can say I feel satisfactory with how they've maintained the important parts of the Gold's Gym legacy.

I would give this EōS Fitness location half a star if Yelp allowed it…read more Be very careful before signing a personal-training agreement. I told the staff that I have arthritis, but they persuaded me to sign up and said I could freeze the training until I was physically able to participate. I later submitted a doctor's note and asked them to cancel the personal training. I trusted the staff when they said they would take care of it, but they did not cancel it, and the credit card continued being charged. Four months later, I returned to the club. The manager confirmed our earlier conversation and acknowledged that I had submitted the doctor's note, but EōS still refused to refund approximately $450 for personal-training sessions I never scheduled, attended, or used. Their response was: "We canceled it, but we don't do refunds." I am now disputing the charges through the credit-card company. This situation has taken a lot of time and effort and has caused me considerable stress. My advice: If you request cancellation or provide a doctor's note, insist that they process the cancellation while you are standing there. Get written confirmation before leaving. Do not trust a promise that they will handle it later.

The main perks of a powerlifting gym are all here: 24 hour access, multiple combo racks available for your SBD needs, and likeminded clientele that just want to lift. This means it's almost always easy to get a lift in even during peak hours, which is diluted more than the usual commercial gyms because of the 24 hour access. The equipment for accessories aren't lacking either, with the owner Henry continuously procuring new machines or attachments since I've been here for a year now. Just about every month or so, something gets rearranged or added to the gym floor and it's great to see membership dues going back to the gym. The only caveat to the 24 hour access are when the gym hosts powerlifting competitions, which isn't frequent but something to plan around as I believe currently, members are unable to lift during these events unless they're competing since the floor space isn't large enough to accommodate everyone. Good trade off though considering the gym isn't closed for the entirety of the day unlike other gyms on holidays. Easy recommendation, love to see this gym's growth every month
