I found out that I had purchased a thin set and no mortar for my tiles and since I was in a time crunch, the company was able to make arrangements for the mortar so the work would not be delayed. I called him out on it, and he reluctantly lowered it to $800 without a contract signed or invoice. I called Elekron Electric (4.8 stars) and they said industry standard is $150/hr for simple troubleshooting. Jose, my check's in the mail for $450 as a fair rate for services rendered. And it's made out to Fuze Electrical Services Inc. so that proper taxes can are paid to Uncle Sam.
