This is my experience with Apex Mobile Detailing & Ceramic Coatings and the owner Ryland Ballingham. This is a true and accurate account of my experience. This is not Spam. I received detailing services on March 21, 2025, and have encountered an issue regarding a $60 over payment. On March 20, 2025, I made arrangements to have my auto detailed on 03/21/2025 at 8:00 AM. By 8:30 AM Ryland had not shown up and I decided to give him a call. Ryland did pick up the phone and tried to blame me as the reason why he was late. Since I made the appointment online after 6:00 PM the previous day, he rarely checks for new appointments after 5:00 PM so he had no idea he had an appointment with me. I saw this as the first of many red flags. If he does not check for new appointments after 5:00 PM perhaps he should put some kind of timer on his calendar that does not allow clients to make appointments after 5 PM. Ryland said he would be at my house shortly. He did not show up at my house until 9:45 AM. Over an hour late (Ryland has no respect for his client;s time) When Ryland finally arrived, I asked him if he had time to do another auto but using the less expensive package. The additional auto was my neighbors, and Ryland gave me a quote of $100.00 of which my neighbor agreed. My neighbor gave me $60.00 in cash and the remaining $40.00 she sent to me online. When Ryland completed both automobiles in less than two hours. My detailing package states that I get two hours of detailing time. I did not and I was ripped off of detailing time. Ryland texted me and I went outside to pay for the services rendered. I gave Ryland the $60.00 cash that my neighbor gave me, and I asked him to apply the credit to the invoice. He agreed and handed the phone to me to sign, and I failed to notice that he did not credit the $60.00 on my invoice. My mistake for trusting him. The total amount I paid on my Visa was $247.50. The breakdown of the charges is as follows. $175 for my auto with a 10% discount comes to $157.50 and $100 for my neighbors auto with a 10% discount comes to $90. And finally, $157.50 + $90 = $247.50 of which I paid in full. That's in addition to the $60.00 I gave Ryland in cash. Once I realized the over payment I tried to contact Ryland many times but have not heard from him since the day he detailed my car. He did not respond to any of my messages or phone calls. To top it off I discovered my house keys were missing from my automobile. Not only do I want the over payment of $60 but I am now worried about the security of my home. When contacting him I was very professional and non-accusatory. But the $60.00 he had was more important that his integrity. Ryland, you can ignore my text messages but you can't ignore this review. Ryland, give me back the $60.00 I over paid you. I also filed a complaint with the BBB and the case remains unresolved as Ryland failed to respond to my complaint. This is my experience with Ryland and Apex Mobile Detailing and Ceramic Coatings. If I could give him no stars I would. THIS IS NOT A SPAM ACCOUNT. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Ryland is a flagrant liar and very unprofessional. First off, my appointment was set for 1pm. At 1 pm he texted me saying hed be there by "130-145" and he kept lying about when he would arrive after that until he finally arrived at 230pm. I get being a little late but 1.5 hours late to a 2 hour appointment is ridiculous. He didnt offer any compensation for wasting my time so when I asked if he would simply blow out some leaves from the hood of my car, suddenly he did me a "favor". He will twist everything to make it so he's never wrong. Apparently the 2 hour time length for the appointment I booked was only an "approximation" because 70 min after Ryland called saying he was there, he was already calling to say he was done. He had 50 more minutes to work for what I paid for but refused and admits that there was more work that could be done but didnt do. He only put in "80-90%" as he said which was more like 60 at best cause thats how long he was there for. He's even completely fabricated a convo that we never had about other deals and how what I picked wouldn't suffice for what I wanted cleaned. He is a lazy, pathological liar and should not be trusted/hired for any type of work. Call this a fake review I dare you. read more

This was the worst service I have ever received. The owner did my detail but that is not what I would call it. In his online policy it states "We always will ask the customer to do a walk-around the vehicle so they can inspect for themselves before payment is made, and we are happy to address their concerns/answer any questions regarding their service at this time. Once payment is made, all sales are final." I was sent photos after he had already left. When I went to inspect my car, I saw how horrible this $200 detail was. I addressed this with the owner and he was disgustingly rude. He told me my van was disgusting and I was negligent to my children because of this. Never once did he tell me my van was too dirty to detail or that I needed to pay more. I would never go with this company. read more

I booked online for a mobile detail twice. The first time, I received a text message letting me know the van was in the shop and would not be able to make my requested time. I accepted that because I was notified 3 hours ahead of time. I booked again yesterday for an appointment today. I received two reminders about my appointment. One reminder came yesterday. The other came today 1 hour prior to the appointment. Twenty minutes before the appointment, I received an email cancellation stating the van was flooded. My Yukon Denali looks better today, than when we brought it home brand new (2 years ago). Ryland took the time to answer questions about the different ceramic coatings and prep work in detail. We went with the IGL and the paint now looks glossier than on the day we bought it. It poured on the way home (of course), mud was getting sprayed onto the car. When we got home the car didn't have a spec of mud on it. The mud rolled right off! Living in Florida, with the sun, and the torrential downpours and the love bugs, this is definitely going to keep my car looking brand new for years to come. I use these gentlemen once a month and am really happy with the results. The price is reasonable and they are very flexible with your schedule. Even if I needed to run errands with my other car, I know I can pay ahead and come back to high quality work. No need to tap into your hose or anything, their van has everything needed to detail. To start, I have never dealt with such unprofessionals. I made an appointment for Saturday to later via text find out maybe an hour before that they couldn't come that day and had to reschedule. So already off to a great start. The person who I believe is the manager of the company is only texting you, and hours apart on what is going on. So I rescheduled for Sunday, which wasn't a problem. He assured me they would be here at 9:30 because I potentially had to go in to work later, showed up almost 30 min late, in which he didn't text that he would be late or apologize. Again whatever, they started to work on my car, in which it started to rain. I got the middle package which was supposed to include all of this stuff to the outside and inside and take at least an hour and a half. In which in about 30 broken up min because of the rain they just up and left after they were "done" and didn't think to text or call me to tell me they were done. I just assumed they were coming back after it stopped on and off raining. I then had to reach out about two hours later to this kid who is the "manager" who took forever to yet again text me back even after I tried calling. To tell me they were done, which the inside looked like nothing had been done besides some slight vacuuming, and also I find it really hard to believe you can do a clay treatment and waxing in the rain. So everyone do yourself a favor and go with someone else who is more efficient, and professional. Such a waste of money. Lesson learned! read more
