This is my experience with Apex Mobile Detailing & Ceramic Coatings and the owner Ryland Ballingham. This is a true and accurate account of my experience. This is not Spam. I received detailing services on March 21, 2025, and have encountered an issue regarding a $60 over payment. On March 20, 2025, I made arrangements to have my auto detailed on 03/21/2025 at 8:00 AM. By 8:30 AM Ryland had not shown up and I decided to give him a call. Ryland did pick up the phone and tried to blame me as the reason why he was late. Since I made the appointment online after 6:00 PM the previous day, he rarely checks for new appointments after 5:00 PM so he had no idea he had an appointment with me. I saw this as the first of many red flags. If he does not check for new appointments after 5:00 PM perhaps he should put some kind of timer on his calendar that does not allow clients to make appointments after 5 PM. Ryland said he would be at my house shortly. He did not show up at my house until 9:45 AM. Over an hour late (Ryland has no respect for his client;s time) When Ryland finally arrived, I asked him if he had time to do another auto but using the less expensive package. The additional auto was my neighbors, and Ryland gave me a quote of $100.00 of which my neighbor agreed. My neighbor gave me $60.00 in cash and the remaining $40.00 she sent to me online. When Ryland completed both automobiles in less than two hours. My detailing package states that I get two hours of detailing time. I did not and I was ripped off of detailing time. Ryland texted me and I went outside to pay for the services rendered. I gave Ryland the $60.00 cash that my neighbor gave me, and I asked him to apply the credit to the invoice. He agreed and handed the phone to me to sign, and I failed to notice that he did not credit the $60.00 on my invoice. My mistake for trusting him. The total amount I paid on my Visa was $247.50. The breakdown of the charges is as follows. $175 for my auto with a 10% discount comes to $157.50 and $100 for my neighbors auto with a 10% discount comes to $90. And finally, $157.50 + $90 = $247.50 of which I paid in full. That's in addition to the $60.00 I gave Ryland in cash. Once I realized the over payment I tried to contact Ryland many times but have not heard from him since the day he detailed my car. He did not respond to any of my messages or phone calls. To top it off I discovered my house keys were missing from my automobile. Not only do I want the over payment of $60 but I am now worried about the security of my home. When contacting him I was very professional and non-accusatory. But the $60.00 he had was more important that his integrity. Ryland, you can ignore my text messages but you can't ignore this review. Ryland, give me back the $60.00 I over paid you. I also filed a complaint with the BBB and the case remains unresolved as Ryland failed to respond to my complaint. This is my experience with Ryland and Apex Mobile Detailing and Ceramic Coatings. If I could give him no stars I would. THIS IS NOT A SPAM ACCOUNT. Absolutely terrible experience with Mi Pana Window Tinting…read more These guys were referred to me by Top Dog Mobile Detailing South, so I expected professional work and good customer service. Unfortunately, the quality of the work was shockingly bad and completely amateur. Immediately after the windshield tint was installed, there were two large bubbles in the film. They returned the same day to fix those bubbles, but that was only the beginning of the problems. Afterward, I noticed severe visual distortions throughout the windshield tint, distortion on the front passenger window, and even a small scratch on the windshield itself. The windshield became distracting and uncomfortable to look through while driving. The overall tint job looked rushed and unprofessional. I have had multiple vehicles tinted and ceramic coated over the years, and this was by far the worst money I have ever spent on any tinting or ceramic coating service. The workmanship was nowhere near professional quality. The windshield tint especially looked like an amateur installation rather than work done by an experienced company. When I contacted them about the distortions, I was told they would "go away in about a week" and that I should not park the car in the sun for at least four hours after installation. Nearly a week later, the distortions were still there, so I reached out again. Instead of taking responsibility, I was brushed off and told they had other appointments and would "get to it when they can." The following day I asked for an actual timeframe so I could make myself available, and without any notice they suddenly texted saying they were already a few minutes away from my house. I was over two hours away at work because no appointment or time had ever been scheduled. At that point the owner completely changed his attitude and started blaming me for their defective work. He falsely claimed I caused the problem by moving the vehicle too early and not following instructions. That is completely false, and I have video footage proving the car was never moved during the required period. Instead of standing behind their work, they chose to lie, deflect blame, and argue with the customer. To make matters worse, they then told me to personally remove all of the windshield tint myself, record a video of it, and only then would they consider giving me a refund. That is one of the most unprofessional responses I have ever received from a business. Mistakes can happen with any tint job. What matters is how a company handles those mistakes. Mi Pana Window Tinting showed poor workmanship, amateur installation quality, zero accountability, dishonesty, and extremely unprofessional customer service. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company if you value your vehicle or expect professional-quality work.
