Staff is highly professional and accommodating (within what they are permitted to do by corporate headquarters). If you check other senior living communities in the area, you will not find one that comes close to the ambiance that Meadow Lake Village offers. But it is very expensive to live here, and never forget that fees go up every single year.

We toured eight different facilities in Boise and the Garden Plaza of Valley View was by far their favorite. We actually didn't have an appointment and just stopped in to see if we might be able to talk to someone - Pam welcomed us with open arms and gave us a very thorough tour. They joined the waiting list, and moved in a few months later when a space opened up. At this point it has only been a few weeks since their move, but they are extremely happy and we've noticed a difference in their health already, especially with Mom. Her speech and walking have both improved, and we credit the Garden Plaza with that. She has 3 regular meals a day, social interaction, walks more, and she doesn't have the pressures that came with owning and caring for a full-sized home. My folks tell us every day how nice everyone is, from the staff to the residents. They wish they had made the move years ago and say everyone they talk to says the same thing. (Better late than never!) I liken it to living on a land-based cruise ship - all their meals and utilities are included, their unit is cleaned weekly (including towels and linens), there are tons of activities, there's transportation to get them around town, and everything is bundled under one price so they don't have to keep track of a ton of bills (or even this one - they're set up on auto-pay)! It's so nice that my teenage daughter wanted to move there after getting a tour. To say it's been life-changing is an understatement. My parents are thrilled, my siblings and I are thrilled, and a huge load has been lifted from all of us. Since I don't live in Boise, it's an enormous comfort to know they're happy and that people are checking in on them daily. Every time I visit, they are doing something Special for their residents. They even built a Bakery so that the residents can visit and have a sweet treat. If you are considering special care for a loved one, take a tour with Melanie. She is personable and understands how important this transition is for everyone in the family. I've had a couple appointments sprinkled in for infusions or fun ED visits. But my whole journey with St. Luke's started in 2004 when I had my daughter. I adore a majority of the employees in registration. I love Lucas the most! He's so vibrant, kind and caring. I aim to see him every Monday as he starts my week off right! There's nothing better than having someone like Lucas start your day with so much happiness. He exudes so much love and sunshine Everyone in labs are great! Lily has always stood out to me as a leader. She handles my labs like a boss and is very thorough. Not every poke is the best but they all do a great job! They all take their time to get what I need tested and send me on my way. We have gotten to know each other after 9 months worth of labs. I have had a few infusions for iron done post transplant. All the nurses in the infusion center is so great! Some of the nurses have it down to a science inserting the i.v. without it being crazy painful. They have a neat machine that helps locate the IV. It eliminates the guessing game of finding the vein. I was always checked up on and made sure I was solid before they let me go. I did have a few ED visits after my transplant. One visit was when I was sepsis. Unfortunately, they couldn't do much for my here and was sent to U of U for the rest of my care. But, the DR that took care of me in November was very great. I also did stop into the ED to grab a couple bags for a drain line that I had installed. Those two visits, the nurses were so great! They got me a new bag for my drain line without having to be admitted. I could only imagine the total cost of having to go through the ED for a bag.... I wish I could give the hospital 5 stars cause each department that I have interacted with are fantastic. Unfortunately, the staff at the front desk are just awful. They are so rude! And it kills me every week when I come in and have to start the first part of my day with these grumpy people. They are literally the first people you interact with before a procedure, visiting a baby, a family member that is super sick. How fun is it to have some bitter person at the front set the tone of your purpose at the hospital? I just give them my ID and make my way to registration. I don't want to absorb any of their negativity. If you hate being in the front, maybe you should consider another department. Pretty sad honestly having to deal with them every Monday. I know I have much more to do with my new kidney at this hospital. I will just continue sharing my journey and happiness with the appropriate people at the here. All I know is that the front desk are in a desperate need of a hug and smile.

Lindsay assured me that I would have better help. It took affect as of July 1 2026. She came to my home , filled out paperwork. I never had any help. Lindsay making excuses or didn't call back at all! she'd been to my house and told me all kinds of lies! Promising things she never did! I was eligible as of July 1, 2026. It is now July 27,2026. For this whole month I had only one person came to work. It was only 4 hours and it was just about less than a 2weeks ago or so. He came for four hours only , I was guaranteed 24+ hours a week. I called and called and called. She never called me back. After calling corporate she called me back., made more lame excuses and still no help! Once I called corporate company they sent a mean woman here. After my sister and I were talking to her, for abt 40 mins to get aquainted, she jumped up and left! She said she didn't want to work. We were talking about what I needed. Which is very little. My sister and I were very cordial she was rude! I called the governor's office made a complaint and I never got any help. I am blind and disabled. I need help badly so I'm only giving a one star because it says you have to press the one or whatever you want and they're worse than nothing. They are nothing they did nothing lied fraudulent. They don't do the right thing and this person, She's lied to me the whole time. I've had to call corporate office of Home Helpers in order to get them to call this Garden City and call me back because she is very lazy and she doesn't do her job. I reposted it because it continues to happen. I've only seen your company car twice ever and both times they were/are aggressively driving. Not me this time but to another car on Glenwood. The defensiveness shows your businesses true anger. "For reasons unknown" and it's sad I gave a one star? It's not my fault you're drivers are scary. I'm just a concerned citizen.
