Went for a friend's birthday. Was told "we don't do fur boots" by the bouncer and was told he'd let me in but don't bring them back gave another member of our party a hard time with his timberland boots, made him pay $50 while 5 minutes before hand he let my boyfriend come in with his timberland boots no issues for free. Mind you people in the club with Nike sneakers and SLIDES on this place isn't for someone 21-25 go somewhere else the bouncers here scam too much. Also drinks super expensive. I like this place to dance at! If you are looking for a fun night out in Milwaukee this is the best place. However cover can be $10 on Saturday nights which stinks and is definitely expensive. However sometimes you can negotiate or call ahead to get bottle service or get on the guest list. Regardless, everyone is welcome and no one discriminates like some other clubs I've been to. I'll just get straight to the point! We stood in line for almost an hour while they were letting in VIP, the bouncers were "secretly" taking tips valued at $100 to $200 per person if you wanted to get in early with general admission. Or unless you knew the bouncer at the door who was letting people skip the line to get in. To buy a table was in the $1000's and glad I didn't because people in there was squished like sardines. Went out with a group of friends and learned it's a very homophobic setting. People were leaving the line, people who were waiting longer than we were! MIND YOU, this was all the bouncers doing to get into the club. I will say the drinks were strong, but felt like I was in a sardine can the whole time. Couldn't even use the bathroom because people were hogging the female stalls the whole time. The DJ was okay. Honestly, thought it would be worth it from a friend but was not worth the $40 to get in at the end. You must know and expect that walking into the doors of 720, climbing those stairs, and hitting the dance floor, you will get your ass grabbed, rubbed, or a nice thigh stroke or two will happen throughout the night. If you're lucky, it will happen more than once.... If you are a male, be prepared to see hot chicks in barely there clothing frolicking around the dance floor like a puppy's first time out of their cage. On that note! I've never been here without reserving a VIP table, where the dudes are less creepy and you can escape from the madness. Like everyone else has said, bottle service is $100/bottle of Three olives. I went to apt 720 for the first time for their labor day bash. Previously I had never heard of it. Turns out it's the old Eve, upstairs next to Carnevor. Actually this was the first club I've been to in Milwaukee! Decor was very cool with black walls, white designs, and lighted bars. Good DJ, however not much of a crowd, it was mostly women. Drinks were expensive--$10 for my vodka soda--but VERY strong. I ended up a bit busted up by the end of the night. $5 cover too, not sure what the normal cover is. I've always enjoyed going to bars with loud dance music and dim lighting. Having lived in Milwaukee for the last four years, I've been to Apartment 720 multiple times and have not been impressed on any occasion. The only reason I've gone back is because my friends always want to go and I end up having a decent time. This past Saturday I had a group of about 11 people all out in downtown Milwaukee for my birthday. As usual my friends wanted to go Apartment 720. We had talked to one of the owners prior to arriving and he said, "you'll be on the list when you get here." So we get in and they said we were NOT on the list. We showed the girl the text we had from the owner saying to let us in and we was extremely rude to us. So we left and they lost the business of 11 people buying drinks. So I will explain my rating, I would give 720 a 3 star rating based on my prior experiences. This weekend, because of the rude customer service we received on Saturday, I'd give 1 star. Therefore, we get the rating of 2 stars. I will most likely not be returning. My first time at APT 720 last nite..For a Friday nite and 11.30 PM it waspretty empty....Surprising !! By 12.30 only did the place start fillin up to some extent. I give it 3 stars because i had a nice time..but there were some turn offs..like some ppl gettting so drunk and completely unaware of anything around them...some spills and glasses lying on the dance floor....the most annoying was the amount of smoke ( not from ppl smoking ) but that releases from the smoke machines...at one point is was so much that i cud hardly see my frd who was dancing next to me...ughhh!!! My opinion is very torn here... we went on Friday night for a couple peoples' bdays celebrating together. Got VIP bottle service in the VIP area. -Arrived at 11 PM, place was DEAD. -No one else had a VIP table so it felt awkward but we had a lot of room -Bathrooms are very clean which is nice -Drinks are expensive -Played good music and changed songs often, which I like when out dancing. -Club wasn't too crowded so it wasn't too unbearable on the dance floor -There were couples dancing near some strange looking wall - the girls were generally grinding their rears into the guys and hiking their dresses up to their waists. It was pretty trashy and not something you want to really see... especially if the drinks are too expensive to afford getting drunk enough not to care about this. Felt like the club was trying too hard to seem like it belonged in Vegas and not downtown Milwaukee. Also, not really my scene. I've been a cocktail waitress and server for 3 years now. I've also been out to many places. NEVER have I EVER been so blatantly HARASSED so much in my entire life and I was only inside for about 10 minutes. It was AWFUL. Not even in the door for 3 seconds some guy grabs both of my arms and tries walking away with me after me telling him I wasn't interested. NO BOUNCER MOVED an inch. My complaints go on and on. Not to mention there's a frickin cover and their drinks cost $10.. not even great tasting and small. If you have super low self-esteem and want the nasty attention, this place is just for you! Fortunately, I am not a girl unsuspecting of the level of degradation that the beautiful sex is subject to at Apartment 720, but it does cause indignation to any guy with an ounce of respect for women to witness the whorification that takes place here. Look, I am not a moralist, but when you see these girls showing their panties like it's nobody's business, you do feel ashamed for entering this dungeon of tackiness. The classlessness on the dance floor is also reflected in the management's voracity to charge ridiculous prices for drinks and also overcharging credit cards (I guess assuming that the patrons will be too drunk to notice the robbery). Went there on a Saturday, and the music was good, but they are definitely making up the prices of the drinks on the spot. First, I saw a guy order vodka Red Bull and the bartender poured him gray goose and charged him $12. I ordered 4 vodka sodas with the well vodka and was charged $40. When I first moved to Milwaukee, this place kept on popping up on everyone's list of places you must go to if you want the "big city nighflife". Some friends and I booked a table for New Years and we arrived way too early (at around 10). The service was excellent though at that point. The waitresses would come over and mix drinks for the group and of course take those obligatory pictures. However, as the night got later and the hordes of people started streaming, service was not on par with what it was earlier. Naturally, this makes sense, but by 1 am, the whole place was shitstorm and people could walk in freely. The bouncer was no where to be found. In any case, the big positive was that the DJ was excellent and played good music. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The place was WAY too loud though to talk, so prepare to just forget any form of conversation and just dance. Big cons are that after midnight, they began to let the flood gates open and let in some questionable characters. The crowd really was not that good, and certainly not one of a "big city". In Dallas, this club would be a just a regular old run of the mill dance club. Again though, this is Milwaukee. The decor was so-so. Nothing too spectacular. I personally like hi hat better, and they don't charge ridiculous prices for the nice atmosphere. Bottles were expensive (for Milwaukee) and it was 250 for one bottle of goose for the group. Was it worth it?! I'd say if your going with a whole group for a special event, then I can see it being really fun. (I was pretty hammered!) It's really not that expensive if six friends pool their money --and it is well worth it! Kim K. is still heading up the VIP/promotions here and she is a FOCKING ROCKSTAR. Love her! She's a gem! Friendly and there isn't a snobby bone in her body! In fact, the whole staff here is super nice. (Well, doorguys will be doorguys, ya know...so I won't address that issue). I am guessing the "complaint" about $25-30 cover is legit...I've heard the same thing...I've never heard of anyone paying this much once they do get in...but hey, this is a cool/elite kind of club...don't come dressed all sloppy or in your Abercrombie shorts and sweatshirt...dress up you fool! And when I say elite I don't mean that this place is filled with arrogant idiots...the people that come here are awfully chill...which makes it a nice experience...my past visit found people from adjoining tables coming over and saying HI to us...I know it's Milwaukee and you can get that sort of thing at George Webb's also...but it's nice to know that just because you have the money to pay for VIP table service here in Milwaukee it doesn't automatically equte to you being an a-hole. Which is something I can't say for some other clubs, in my opinion, you there over on 3rd Street (and I don't mean Notte). Dinner beforehand? I HIGHLY recommend anyone of the joints on this street...though if you're in a clubby mood Charro and Umami are probably your best bets to start the night off right! I went on a Saturday Evening after this club was recommended by our dinner hostess. At the entrance we were told $30 cover. We begrudgingly agreed and headed upstairs- cover was only $5. Must be how they weed out the rif-raff. Once inside we were disappointed that all tables were "reserved" and only VIP seating was available. At $275 and up for bottle service, we opted to order drinks & stand at the bar. There was at most, 20 people in the club at midnight. The music was a replica of a local radio station playlist, boring. The decor was uninspired, all painted black with white paisley stenciling borders. When we exited, we were led out the "VIP" exit and noticed a line being held to go in. If this were any other city I'd give 720 only three stars, but considering the lack of decent dance clubs in Milwaukee it gets four. Been there three times, twice with bottle service, which at $100 dollars a bottle really isn't too expensive. The set up of the club is a little strange, but the decor is pretty cool. The DJs are pretty good, they mostly play top 40s, but that's what I like to dance to! For Milwaukee the drinks are a bit pricey- a tall cocktail is $9. From the times I was there, Saturday is definitely the night to go, (much cuter boys than friday nights!) I will for sure be back to 720 soon! (probably this Saturday!!) read more

I was in town for the weekend and my friend took me to this club on a Friday night. I really liked the way it is decorated and laid out. Very chic (unlike how I imagined a Milwaukee club to be for some reason. lol) The DJ played all the top 40 hits and did a decent job mixing them together to get the crowd going. I was horrified to find out that smoking is allowed in clubs there (I'm from California) so that was a HUGE negative for me. Also the crowd was very amusing...I saw at least three people spill their drinks and multiple people practically having sex on the dance floor. Interesting viewing indeed! Tonight , it was my first experience coming to this club. My friends and I came well dressed. I was first in line and the bouncer asked me if I was on the guest list : then asked my friends and I to leave. I approached the main bouncer at the door and asked him why we couldn't get in as he began to allow all of the people behind me in, without asking if they were on the guest list. He began to ignore me then I asked the main bouncer at the door saying " sorry to bother you but can you please tell me why we couldn't get in" His tone of voice was rude responding, I'm not going to get into detail with why you can't go in. In addition, he said If you don't like it you can leave. Then I told him why his response was rude when I am talking to him nicely. At that point he faced me saying bro you asked me three times. When I had just asked him one time and he ignored my response. I was supposed to meeting some friends that were at the club. I couldn't believe how mistreated me and my friends were even after being polite and wanting an honest response. After, we had left we were going to club lucid across the street and the cop said these guys don't know how to behave don't let them in. I am guessing the bouncer at 720apt , knew the police officer and therefore the police officer made it a goal to not allow us in lucid. I don't believe a police officer has a right to tell another bouncer from another club to let us in or not , without asking us what was the problem. He assumed we were the problem but the bouncer was the person at fault. After that we got into the plumb lounge and they are strict on the dress code so I don't believe we were in the wrong. I plan on calling the manager and seeing what might have been the issue. Keep in mind that I was the designated driver , so I did not drink at all. Just wanted to meet my female friends in the club. Just got in from this place tonight. It's 1:30 on a Saturday. That should tell you how terribly lame it is. I'll admit -- I'm used to clubs in New York and London -- so maybe my expectations were high. But I asked someone at our hotel where we should go, and she told us this place is just down the street. I wish we actually would have cabbed out of the area to find some place better. There's really nothing to report. There's nothing distinctive here -- nothing notable -- nothing cool. I thought things were going to be high-end when we got there and saw there was a VIP line (thank God we didn't have to wait in line, or I would have been even more disappointed). But that was some sort of ruse -- the place wasn't packed enough to require a waiting line. Guess it was some sort of thing they felt they had to do to be hip (Oh, Milwaukee -- you'll never be a bigger city. Why the artificial attempt?). I would have actually enjoyed a bigger and better crowd. The music was dated. If you're listening to it in New York or Chicago now, it probably will be playing here in about 6 months. The crowd was very subdued. No personality. Just drunken histrionics. No one appeared to be having fun. The service people were capable enough. No screw-ups, but no impressions made, either. I really can't come up with anything complimentary to say. Guess I'm just frustrated because this was our night out in Milwaukee, and we got bad advice and ended up here. I want to start this review by saying that I'm not a person who frequents dance clubs. I was there with a group of girls for a bachelorette party barhopping. First thing, we had to wait to get in on a Saturday night. No biggie. We didn't wait more than 15 minutes. As soon as we got inside is when the confusion hit. There was NO ONE THERE! I exaggerate.....there were 3 people there. Why did they make us wait? Your guess is as good as mine. I ordered a drink. A dirty martini. "Sorry, no olives." .......OK.......what can you make? They offered a lemon drop martini. I accepted and ended up paying 12$ for the worst drink I have ever had. Hands down. It was just lemon juice and vodka. Blech. The bouncers at 720 are both rude and racist, often denying entrance to hispanic and sometimes asian patrons (nicely dressed) - telling them the club is at capacity or they're no longer admitting people - while letting white clients in without giving an explanation for the inconsistency. I have several minority friends who have had bad experiences in this regard. The decor and club itself is solid, there are better however. If you want to make yourself feel better because you can get into a place that discriminates on the basis of race then this is the place for you. read more

I go to 720 a few Saturdays a month (def the best day to go). It's more of a younger crowd which I like, and the cover is only $5. The thing I hate about this place is the wait to get in. If you don't have VIP, and you are not just about naked, good luck getting in right away. They will usually have you wait outside (Even in freezing winter months) forever. I have waited almost an hour once before giving up and going elsewhere, and other times they would make us wait about 20 minutes only to be let in and see only a handful of people in there. I have also went with a large group consisting of men and women, and they said they would only let the girls in. Lately we have just been going to the VIP line and getting in right away, which is why I'm giving them a good rating, because once inside it's a blast! read more
