I am leaving another review - different site--of owner Nicole- whose poor manners and poor service…read moreare the topic. As another (past client) stated in her review- poor haircut- not layered well. Paid extra for an 'In depth' consultation- which I did not receive. I have never had someone so rough in simply brushing my hair and later blow drying, along with being so sullen in interactions. When the owner of a salon treats you, as a new client ( or any time period client) in such a derogatory manner- while I remained pleasant and polite- which was not easy - it leaves such a negative impression- honestly one that I have never had from any hair salon I have been to. I moved recently from ATL (40 yr resident ) and never had to pay a deposit- and certainly never had such rude treatment. She didn't tell me what products she used or recommended, she didn't even give me a mirror to look at the back and sides of my new cut. I was then charged extra at checkout for long hair- when that was not presented up front and my hair is barely to the shoulders --NOT long, or thick or difficult. No receipt was provided either. I rightfully disputed this service with my credit card - after the service charge processed- - to then be awakened this morning at 7:24am by 7 phone calls in rapid succession & VM from Nicole- this is beyond comprehension. If you were really interested in understanding my salon experience - you would have called during your ( and my) normal business hours and at 'one' - unanswered phone call- left a professional courteous VM-

Do not set your appointment without first booking a consultation to get a feel for your stylist and…read morea clear understanding of how their establishment operates. I booked a blow out for $65 online and by the end of the appointment I was charged $135. I was in no way prepared to pay that and had no idea that services were being added throughout the appointment. My hair was washed and to my understanding conditioned and had a protein treatment I'm honestly not sure. After seeing my face the stylist comped a protein treatment service that I'm sure I needed but if I would have knew of the additional fees being added would have requested to come back when I had it in the budget to have it done. It ended up costing me $110 in the end again that wasn't discussed prior or during the appointment ... evidently I was charged for a trim, 6 snips of the scissors cost $45. I won't be back and wouldn't say don't go; however do your homework, as a first timer I would have appreciated being educated about the services being done or added beforehand even without a consultation. A brief conversation would have sufficed; unfortunately I had to learn the hard way hopefully so you do not have to. I don't think my hair even looked like a $100 hairdo but ‍ lesson learned.

The best thing that Lisa did was walk me into the suite where Erin was located & her welcoming demeanor & customer service are the only reasons I returned. Now back to 4 Stars for Erin.. As a stylist & a personable person Erin is an amazing and as a natural hair enthusiastic I would greatly refer them to Styles By Lisa SOLEY to go see Erin. My twist ups are the truth & she is great with timing as I'm very inpatient & if u have an appointment I expect to be seen at that time & not be at the salon all day & night. Best believe you will get in & out with Erin.
