I have used this place for the last 10 years for towing and auto detailing for all my vehicles. NEVER AGAIN Today I was treated so terribly by your employee working at the impound. He had an attitude from the beginning by being very rude I provided the paperwork and he literally threw one of the papers back at me rudely saying "I don't need that" I asked him if we could look at the car and he told me that only I could go back there but NOT my husband after we forked out almost $300 cash. He NEVER allowed me to look at the car and he made me sign a paper that I received the car in satisfactory condition and I never got to see the car. He was very hesitant to give me the owners name and laughed at us and asked my husband to leave his office when we told him we were going to make complaint. I lost my mom suddenly to cancer January this year and to be treated like this while trying to get her car was just wrong. Your employee has zero compassion and no customer service skills. Oh and he refused to release the car to my towing company. They will just dump it on the outside of the fence whenever he "feels" like it read more

I went way off my beaten path to use their self serve car wash. Many of the neighborhood car washes out there just don't advertise or even have listings because, well, they are a neighborhood thing. This one had a listing on google maps, due to it being much more than a car wash and since there were photos, I was able to determine if I could wash my RV there. It has one 13' high bay which was ideal height. I had to wait for it, but fully expected that, and once I got in, I had it for two hours (since nobody was there waiting, I took advantage of it). The wash bay takes credit cards, and stops at $10 so you know how much you've spent by then... It was a little nebulous as to how much time you get for a buck, but not a big deal. The only issues I had was the hoses were a bit short to wash a 35 foot class A without moving it back and forth a couple of times, and no sign stating how many minutes per dollar. It would have been ideal for a 25' or shorter coach. They also had a decent propane station and fuel so this is a good place to do several RV related things in one place. read more

I had need of a tow the other day, and my insurance company called this company. The time was set for them to be at my location at 09:15. I called to verify as per my insurance and was told yep!. I was also sent a text verifying as well as giving me the position of the wrecker, which showed on the map, about 5 miles from my location. To make a long story short, the tow arrived 1 hour later, and up until I called and asked what was going on, the wrecker that I saw on the map never moved... Beware of tracking devices in your vehicles! Anyway I got my vehicle towed, the driver "Charlie" was courteous, and friendly... Yea I'd use them again..... read more

I am very disappointed with this repair shop. They are AAA rated, but are way over-priced, and one of the service personnel behind the counter was sarcastic to me when I told him I found someone to do the work for almost half the price of what they wanted to charge me. Neither I or my fiance will ever go there again! He also had issues with them. Hopefully everyone else has had better experiences. read more

He worked with me to get the truck moved & on the flatbed. Extremely patient & he very helpful. I would recommend this company especially for large vehicles. I dropped off our churches Ford F450 15 passenger van / bus for a check engine light. Where I was told in there defense labor is $75 for the first hour and $115 an hour for each additional hour . I agreed thinking they would have the problem solved and fixed well within the couple of hours quoted. Later that day they called and had some what diagnosed the problems but did not feel they could fix the the issues that were causing the check engine light and we should take the van to someplace better qualified. That is fine but when I received the bill for $205 I told them that I was upset to be charged that much to tell us that they were not capable of fixing the problems. They said well we have all this time in it and that is what we charge ( I can not see where it should have taken a experienced technician more than a 1/2 hour to see that he did not want to fix the problems.) After discussing the issue they waived the shop service fee of $15 which reduced the bill to $195. I am still very upset that we were charged $195 to tell us they were not Qualified. Very bad company to go to for anything! I tried renting a uhual truck from Apache sands and had THE most horrible experience in my life. First off I was told the truck was gonna be $19.95 a day! It ended up being $39.95. Then after doing the walk around I point out all the dings on the truck to make sure I don't get charged for damages that were already there. Mark seems to get mad at me for pointing them out..like WTF. I brush it off and decided to rent anyway. Upon returning the truck Mark tried charging my for damages I pointed out when I rented the Da#m truck!! In conclusion don't go there for ANYTHING they are rip offs. read more

First off before I rip into this shop let me say the people are nice. Very friendly bunch. However they are incompetent and not straight forward. I took my truck in because my check engine light was on and my radiator was clogged. Without going into detail of all my pain. I spent $2000 on new radiator, fuel injectors and to fix 1 engine cylinder. It took them 3 weeks. The first week they kinda fixed it and then I had it for 1 day and took it back because the check engine light came back on. After two more weeks without a car I got my truck back. The check engine light came back on after 2 days and I decided to just deal with it. Even though I could of taken my truck back for a 3 try I just cut my losses and could not deal with them again. The reason for this review is to tell everyone what happens when you go to a competent shop. About a year later I took my truck to a different shop, http://www.greulichs.com/. I had the same issue with my check engine light. They told me up front how tricky it was to fix a miss firing cylinder. I left the truck with them. They took a look and called me. Told me two cylinders are not firing at all. Told me it would take 3 days. 3 days later I got my truck back as good as new. They replaced 2 of the new fuel injectors (had gone bad because of the poor install from Apache), replace the radiator hoses (Apache installed a new radiator but did not replace the hoses, crazy), machined the cylinders and replaced all the needed parts. Got my truck back in 3 days. Very happy with Greulichs in North Phoenix. I basically paid two shops to fix the same problem. First shop failed and second shop was fantastic. read more

Completely rude staff. I was in a car accident the day before. The officer that arrived to the scene called them to get my car. The guy who showed up to tow my car was actually pretty nice. But the people in the office are another story. I couldn't get to them till almost 4:45pm (because they are so far out there!). The very rude worker informed me that If it took him until 5 to get my info and whatnot that they would charge me a $46 fee to get items from my car, which would've taken me 2 seconds. Unfortunately I had left my registration in the car. The guy took his sweet time getting it, resulting in him not returning till almost 4:55. My registration had lapsed 6 days prior to this (which I was going to renew the night I got in the accident). But of course since they had been expired for 6 days the extremely rude man in the office would not let me get anything out of my car. Sadly my car is a total loss. My insurance is going to be selling it for scraps. He told me to pay for my tags on my total loss of a car and then maybe I could get my stuff. Who is going to renew their tags on a totaled out car? Since I now no longer have a car, I couldn't afford it if I wanted to. I have never been treated so badly or rudely. They should look into hiring employees that don't have power trip issues. If I could I would give 0 stars and tell you to call ANYONE else to tow your vehicle. I was in a car accident and the police on scene called to have my car towed. When I called to come get it I was told I had to pay for my towing even though my insurance covers ALL my tows. The lady I spoke with proceeded to call me a liar and REFUSED to send the bill to my insurance. I then called my insurance company to see if I was wrong, however they then offered to call for me because in fact, the do pay for all my tows. My insurance called them and called me back to tell me how horrible their service was and apologized that I had to deal with that. Luckily my insurance will reimburse me, however the staff here is the worst I have ever dealt with and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone I would have rather pushed my car myself to any other place. read more

The driver was able to get the flatbed truck up and down the series of narrow winding (scary) switchbacks. I've used this self car wash because it has a high profile stall and I don't want to lose the air conditioner on my grooming van. They charge $2.00 per 4 minutes. Usually takes $8.00 for a basic wash. As soon as I pulled in, a young man in a golf cart came over and asks if I'm planning on dumping my tank. I said no. He says some do. I said even if I was , there'd be nothing wrong with it. That's where the manufacturer suggests we let our water go. He tells me it has to be dumped in an rv dump. I informed him that there is no sewage at all. All it is is plain water that a dog was washed with. I water my plants with it. The stupid kid then proceeded to sit there and watch me. Then he drove around to the other side to sit in the shade to watch. I finally told him he was wasting time as I didn't even have any water in the tank. I hadn't started working yet. I was dumbfounded at how rude this was and will now look for a new place to wash my van. They probably ought to watch the motor homes instead. The drains had rusty soda cans, wheels, and all sorts of trash clogging them up. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I had my vehicle towed to Apache Sands (thought I would take advantage of my AAA discount as I am a premier member). To make a long story short they quoted me a price of $1400.00 for parts and labor. My vehicle is a 2006 with over 130K miles. When you start looking at a repair bill of $1400.00 for a vechile that is paid for you have to weigh your options, keep the vehicle and get the repair done or let the vehicle go. I elected to keep my vehicle and took it to antoher repair shop. The vehicle got fixed for a total of $120.00 less than 10% of what Apache Sands wanted to rip me off for. Please excuse the one star rating; I would have given them less than that if possible! read more

RUDE, HORRIBLE, and UNINTELLIGENT STAFF! Car was impounded due to an accident. We got the news and went to fetch our belongings. The clerk for the tow section was rude and did not give clear directions. A tow agent threatened to call the police on us for entering the tow yard because we shouldn't be back there, even though we were told to enter gate 1 by the clerk. The manager came out with a club in his hand and told us to drive out immediately and wait for him to come around to front to let us in on his golf cart! We waited ten plus minutes and got told that my wife, the owner of the car, had to go back there alone, even though I am on the title of the vehicle and she is pregnant! I could not help her get the belongings out of the car, some of which are heavy as she is a teacher and she had algebra books! HORRIBLE experience!!! I would not even recommend this place to someone that I did not like! read more

This is for the towing part of Apache Sands. I apologize for the length. My mother passed away on Dec. 25th 2013. Knowing we would be driving to California for the Memorial, we got brakes and the "special tool" to change the rear brakes. On the way home, at a signal, (we were stopped) the rear drivers side shoe slipped which meant we couldn't drive the car. An officer saw us and called "Apache Sands" because they have a contract. The driver was nice enough, but seemed to have a hard time figuring out where to secure the car to the truck. He had to hook from the rear because the car would not go forward. We noticed that the rear tires were "bulging" when he was done cinching down the car, and were told this is "normal". He took it to our house. After changing the brakes, we took a visual inspection of the car and noticed that the rear passenger wheel was bowed out 2 1/2 inches which made the vehicle undriveable. We called "Apache Sands" to talk to them, there was no answer and the machine said it was "full", so we were unable to leave a message. Since we were in a time crunch to get to the funeral, and a financial crunch, and couldn't afford to rent a car, then come back and still have to fix our car, we had it towed to a shop that could fix it that day. The second tow driver hooked from the frame and put up on the flatbed, he took one look under the car and said that the first driver hooked the car wrong causing the damage to the tie rod. At the shop, 3 mechanics and the service manager told us that the damage was caused by incorrect towing procedures! When we got back in town, we called Apache Sands again on Monday, Jan.6th and left a message. No call back. We called Tuesday the 7th, and talked to "Ron Lagdon, a tow manager. He was rude from the start and said that we had absolutely no proof that his drivers caused any damage. Said that we should have left the car sitting until one of them could look at it. When we explained why we hadn't done that, he just said "not his problem". We have pictures and the damaged tie rod. He very "rudely" stated that its not proof and the conversation was done. He said not to call him again, and hung up. Very unprofessional. Rude. DO NOT USE APACHE SANDS TOWING!! read more
