I eagerly sought her out after getting referred by my chiropractor after dealing with my second herniated disc. I was afraid and disappointed in myself after my injury postpartum, but I understood how important it was to rebuild my core so that I could hold my big baby! I knew it was going to take someone special to help me gently but continuously strengthen my core without further injuring or irritating my disc. Kiara has been THEE best person for that. I have worked with a few other personal trainers but none have come close to the holistic approach Kiara has to whole body wellness from feet up-. After each session at her beautiful and absolutely immaculate studio, I always feel good, energized, and accomplished- not drained, in pain, or vomiting like I've felt with other trainers. I have been able to bring my baby to each session, which all moms know is a god send!! Kiara has an amazing way of explaining posture and form that's easy to grasp, helps you maximize your work out, and really focus on the target area. All of the equipment she has in her studio are really fun to use and not intimidating like it can be at the gym. Her work outs are addicting because of how good you feel after and how refreshing her approach is. I have already recommended her to so many of my friends- especially the moms. I am truly grateful for being able to work with her. It makes sense why she has clients who have been with her for years, in person & virtually as well.

Right away, she helped me make adjustments, and adding cupping to our sessions made a huge difference, my tension stopped coming back. I did triathlons before kids but never focused on strength training, and I also never did pelvic floor PT postpartum. Kiara helped me rebuild my core and pelvic strength in ways I didn't even realize I needed. Every workout challenges me in the best way, and for the first time, I feel strong and confident in my body. I never thought I needed a trainer, but this has been such a worthwhile investment in myself. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about Korosh as a trainer…read more I've been working with him since around July, and in just a few months I've seen a noticeable difference in my body, strength, and confidence. I've lost roughly an inch and a half while continuing to build muscle and get stronger, even while dealing with normal hormonal fluctuations that can make body composition changes much more challenging. What really stands out about Korosh is that he understands how to progressively challenge me without sacrificing form. He has significantly improved my technique, helped me increase my training loads safely, and pushed me beyond strength levels I reached even when I was competing about 10 years ago. I recently leg pressed approximately 407 pounds and have worked up to roughly 130 pounds on chest/bench press movements, which I honestly never expected to accomplish at this stage of my life. He also brings a level of care and professionalism that makes the experience feel incredibly personalized. From paying close attention to recovery and positioning to making sure I'm comfortable on the massage bed, he treats me less like someone being pushed through a generic workout and more like a high-level private client. It genuinely feels like the kind of individualized attention you would expect at a luxury fitness club such as Equinox. Beyond his knowledge as a trainer, Korosh is exceptionally kind, considerate, hardworking, ambitious, and thoughtful. I have a master's degree in psychology, and because of his own background and interest in psychology, I've also really enjoyed our conversations. He is perceptive and wise beyond his years, and I've found myself appreciating him not just as a trainer but as a person. If you want someone who will pay attention to your form, understand progressive overload, challenge you intelligently, and genuinely care about your progress, Korosh is exceptional. He deserves to be recognized and celebrated for the level of commitment he gives his clients.

I signed my son up for 6 months of personal training and paid for each month in advance. Per their…read morecontract, they require a 30-day notice for cancellation, which I submitted right at the end of 6th month. That is when the hidden terms came out. Management informed me that because they have a "5-day billing" on their billing cycle, my 30-day notice didn't count for the upcoming month. Consequently, they are forcing me to pay for a 7th month that we neither wanted nor authorized. I gave notice on September 30th (the same day my payment went out for October). They require that I pay on October 30th for the entire month of November. That's their idea of a 30 day notice. By sneaking in this "5 day billing period," they essentially manipulated a standard 30-day notice policy into a 60-day billing trap. What makes it worse is the complete lack of understanding that the practice is deceptive and dishonest. Be very careful giving this business your financial information and signing up for any training. They seem to find loopholes in their agreements to squeeze an extra month of profit out of you on your way out the door.

As a lifelong runner and yogi, I was honestly intimidated by heavy weights at first. I started working with Dan and Sami to build strength before trying to get pregnant... and not only did I reach that goal, I believe that strength training made a huge difference in both of my deliveries. They guided me through recovery after each pregnancy, helping me lose over 90 pounds after my first and 40 after my second, all while gaining muscle and confidence. Now, approaching 40, I'm in the best shape of my life: physically strong, mentally energetic, and genuinely excited about my workouts. Dan has also helped me cross-train for 3 half marathons in the last 18 months with zero injuries. Both Dan and Sami bring such a positive mindset to every session that training feels like something to look forward to, not a chore. They've taught me skills I can apply on my own and helped me understand how nutrition supports performance. Dan's guidance on macros and his honest, thoughtful feedback have been game-changers. I have been seeing her for also 9 years where I met her at a major gym and have followed her religiously since. Here's what I love about Diana: -She always makes you feel comfortable and safe about my body. Never once have I felt exposed, overly vulnerable, or insecure about the way I look or perform. -She listens and supports your personal goals. Over the 9 years my goals for fitness have varied from injury prevention (for lifting/moving patients), weight/fat loss, and functional mobility. And every time I change my goal, she adapts. -She is extremely knowledgeable. Not only about fitness and movement but her knowledge concerning diet/nutrition and glucose management is real and evidence based. She understands the influence of our mental health and how it impacts our physical wellness and she is adaptable to make your goals work with your barriers. -Lastly, (and most important for my personal journey) is that Diana provides NO aggression accountability. I hate working out. My whole life I have never enjoyed exercising but I understand its value. This works. It is the only reason I have seen her for so many years. I know I can't easily get out of a session (although if you need to make changes, she has flexibility). She asks me every week about my diet (without harsh criticism)--offering lots of education. She asks me about my relationships and helps me work through my mental barriers for a healthy life as well. Diana is a lot more than a trainer. My entire mindset towards fitness changed when Diana came into the picture. Since my first training session with Diana, I no longer view working out as another thing on my to-do list as a busy dad, instead I look forward to improving how I feel, how I look, and how I function for my family through maintaining an active lifestyle and eating cleaner and healthier. What I like most about Diana's approach is that she takes a balanced stance (literally and figuratively), where she will provide an objective view on anything related to fitness... from technique, to programming, to diet, and full circle back to how everything is connected between our body, our mind, and our surroundings. She will research, adjust, and tailor her approach to create fun and engaging workouts no matter the time of day. Diana has changed how I approach fitness and I'm eternally grateful for the privilege to have her as my trainer. It's been about 2 years since I've begun training with Diana and I've never felt more energized, capable, confident, and stronger with my body. Final note: I've done the solo thing, the CrossFit thing, the group workout thing, and nothing has come close to the experience that Diana provides as a trainer!!! Small-group classes and personal training are also available during the day based on the Black Card membership description. The schedule is available on the app. The Thousand Oaks location is pretty light in the evening, which is when we usually go. The app also shows the gym's current traffic, which is convenient. Staff is usually polite and pleasant, although we have minimal interaction since check-in is through the app. The restroom could use more cleaning. I'm not sure if there is a dedicated janitor or if it's handled by employees, but either way, a more consistent cleaning schedule would help. One tip for people who like to clean their equipment before using it: you might want to bring your own cleaning wipes. They provide spray bottles and cleaning paper, which is a little messy for me. With the cost of the membership, though, this is really not a complaint. Overall, we enjoy the convenience of the flexible hours and the variety of fitness options at this location.
