Hassan is my go-to mechanic. He is honest, careful, respectful, knowledgeable, and responsive. Instead of buying the expensive maintenance "package" at the dealership (I'm out of warranty), along with changing my oil and rotating my tires, Hassan performed a courtesy brake inspection (they're fine) and used ingenuity to repair a reflector instead of pushing for a costly replacement. He also replaced my engine and cabin air filters at no charge (using the new ones I gave him). I have been debating sharing my experience as it takes a lot for me to share feedback, considering I am pro small business owner. Also sharing this for those who read reviews before making decisions. If I had read the reviews on his page, I certainly would not have made a stop at Anza Service. I've been there few times and quite frankly, these are small jobs such as oil change, lights out e.t.c. Mr. Hassan initially comes off as a very pleasant gentleman, although a little rough on the edges based on his mannerism and slightly aggressive tone of voice. Nice guy, I'll say. I started questioning his services and integrity, when he charged 50% more for a smog check. Again, my fault for not doing my homework. The most recent event was when I took my vehicle to fix an issue that was significant. He charged $1300, and when I checked the website for the parts, they were averaging almost 40% less than what he was quoting me. When I questioned it, he was aloof about it, claiming he gets his parts from a trusted source. Not wanting to make a deal, I proceeded to have him fix the vehicle. That should have been a red flag. Almost 3 months later, my vehicle is not fixed, and the issue remains. I returned 5 times to have him take a look at my vehicle, and granted, he did his best to try to fix it, however he has failed to accept responsibility. At some point during my back and forth, he became highly irritated, raised voice and displaying a behavior that I truly cannot explain. At some point, I explained to him that there's so much patience I can take, so I took my car elsewhere to be fixed. All in all, I would not recommend Anza Services, or be extremely cautious of his services and pricing, as they are questionable. read more

I recommend Hassan and the mechanics at Anza Service. I have been here a few times. The first time was for smog check. Second time for replacing tire pressure gauge. Third time was because as I was driving my tire went flat, since I had been in to this repair shop before, I pulled in shortly before they closed and without an appointment. Hassan immediately assessed the problem, found a giant nail in the tire. He was able to quickly put a plug in the tire and send me on my way. I was beyond relieved that he was able to fix the tire rather than replace it. This is a very honest shop. read more

Fast & friendly. Who I'm assuming the owner is wasn't wearing a mask. I've never in my life paid almost $100 for a smog check. I know the sign states "most cars" but dang. I've had several smog checks with this vehicle and the most I've paid was 60 bux and that's including the dmv certificate. read more

Make an appointment and spend money (over $200) and they treat my $20,000 truck like it's the piece of crap they drive every morning. When I pay for a service I want to be treated right but these guys could care less about your stuff. Bunch of stains and deep scratches all in my truck. Did they rush through the process or they just suck? I don't know, I won't be back. And if you spit when you talk, maybe you should just wear a mask at work. read more

This is wrong the owner in response to my review. I dont understand what he is saying but sounds like he tried to cancel the SMOG certificate after I had already paid for it. I also told him the reason I didnt go there was because I was late for work and they were very busy at the other shop (for obvious reasons) From owner, "Thanks for your comment about me and the shop. Crooked guy, call about a smog he says 50 for a reg smog, once you show up he rushes you then says 75. Told him its not star he says same price. Workers are snappy. Take too long for smog. Don't charge the correct price and get you with random fees. Go to anywhere else and you'll be charged $40 then what these guys are charging. Only went here for the convenience but previous smogs have been much cheaper for my other cars at different shops. read more

Charged $125 for an incorrect diagnostic. Based on his diagnostic, I purchased new suspension air bags and got them installed but it didn't solve the problem. The problem was with the compressor which he said was working fine. Apparently his scanner codes were incorrect and made me lose hundreds of dollars on replacing something that was working perfectly fine. read more

This place is excellent! Hassan is a skilled and honest mechanic. My son recently crashed his beautiful 2006 VW Touareg (3 weeks after getting it) and we decided to cover the repairs ourselves. There was significant mechanical and body work that needed to be done and Hassan coordinated the whole thing! He saved us thousands of dollars of markups the collision centers generally charge insurance companies and I was blown away by the quality of the work he (and the body shop he used) performed! The vehicle looks good as new and drives just as smooth as before! I highly recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood looking for a skilled and trustworthy mechanic, even for the most challenging repair jobs! Do not come here. Hassan will half fix stuff for you, so you can come back and pay him again. He'll also use bad parts for your repairs, like he did to me. This guy charges you for things you did not asked to be repaired. His definition of "I'll take care of you" means charging you for unwanted repairs and double the price on things. read more

First of all don't go to the dealership that's the last resort, i had a problem with my Parking break and the wire unclamped easy fix I guess went to the dodge dealership in Torrance, I always go to that dealership to get stuff fixed no problem. They told me that I need to overnight my car because they need to take the whole dash out I'm like wtf just for a cable to be clamped again. I've been here several time.. for two smog checks, oil changes and most recently my brake light wouldn't turn off and when I stepped on the gas, my car was dragging to go for a minute and then it would finally start to drive, so anyway, I thought it was going to be an expensive fix. So I bring the car on a Sunday. They are open, the man who I think owns it says, after checking the car, it's the Brake light switch and says they could do it right then. When they were done with my smog check my car wouldn't start. Tried to tell me I needed a new starter. I said I did not think needed a new starter as my car was just in the shop and upon calling my own mechanic miraculously now my car starts... it seemed very shady I would not recommend. read more

Hassan took very good care of her and her Car. they even gave us rides home many times when things were busy and they made time for our car to be serviced in between. Well, this is going to be my first comment ever. After reading many complements and review about the place and Hassan as Technician and his personality I was like OK, just as curiosity let's see how my Check Engine issue can be fixed (Mercedes CLK350). Hassan has questioned my the right tech questions and then advice me on how to get monitor log ready to get Smock Check passed since I already replaced all part required. I did exactly what he said and showed up at his service this morning. Everything is fine now. I passed it. My tags expired June 2018 BTW For whom who do not know what I'm talking about: If you have a check engine light on and lets say you get all issues fixed and reset the computer using OBD device. For most cars you just have to drive a bit and ready to pass Smock Check, but not for Mercedes. MB has some picky requirements on how to refresh the monitor log. In my case I had to drive 43 miles per hour for 3 minutes and then 65 miles per hour for 3 minutes. Stupid? I know but it worked out. Hassan, thanks a lot man. Never do smog check here. I was told it costs $75 plus cert fee and would give me $10 discount. After smog test, I was charged $111 for smog check though I got $10 discount after I told the owner so. There is a ridiculous $20 charge for so called Hazardous waste/DMV fee which I thought it is DMV new charge. I called other smog check owner later and they don't charge this ridiculous item. I called Anza Service Owner and he is rude and told me it is because rent went up which should not be the reason and I should be told before smog check. read more

I've been to Anza Service a couple times for a smog check and an oil change. Hassan was very polite and professional. His invoices are detailed separating parts, labor, disposal fees, and smog certificate fee. Auto repair facilities have to pay for tire, oil, and other hazardous waste disposal fees. The only thing I can suggest to Hassan is to make sure his hands and arms are clean before he moves your car. I had oil smudges on both the center console and driver's door panel. Fortunately both of those areas were leather, otherwise it wouldn't have wiped out so easily for me. read more

He told me that my car was fixed and nothing else was wrong with my car, later I found out that not only he didn't change the right parts but also because of his negligence and lack of knowledge (or knowingly lied) I ended up spending thousands of dollars to repair my car. THIS GUY IS A LIAR AND CHEAT and his mechanic doesn't know anything about cars (he had to google the symptoms to find out what could be wrong with my car). STAY AWAY! My battery died while I was driving home at night and I was able coast into the parking lot of the gas station this shop is located and Hassan said, "let me help you". He then offered to check the power system for free if left the car overnight. I agreed and the following day Hassan calls to tell me that the alternator is no good and the wire harness has to be changed. I told him that I want to bring my car to the shop that changed my alternator and then I'd bring it back to him for the wire harness. He said, "whatever you want" and that they close at 6pm. I let him know that I would pick up the car the next day. The following day on my way to pick up the car, I call him and he says I owed him $35. So I asked why and reminded him that the test was free. He said, because he changed the terminals and that I cannot park the car there for two days. I said, I never asked you to replace the terminals and that I left the car there so he could test it. Hassan then said, fine I'll take out the terminals and you pick up the car. I said, yes I'm on my way. When I got there he was rude saying that you can't park a car anywhere for two days. Hassan was also rude to my wife telling both to get out of the parking spots. Bottom line, save money, time and frustration by staying away from this place. This is not the way to get clients. I recommend Hillside Auto if you're in the area. read more

Went there today for a smog check. Guy says "it's $69 plus $8 for the certificate." I point up at the sign that reads "$49 smog check *most cars*." Ok, so he explains that it costs more because they have to put my vehicle on a dyno. I don't argue for the $20 difference. Then the guy calls me about 1/2 an hour later (I didn't hang around), "Your car needs a new gas cap to pass..." I ask, "How much is it?" He replies "$14.95." I reply, "No big deal, yeah go ahead." I return some time later. The total is a hair over $100. Pretty steep for a smog check I thought, but I wanted to get the hell out of there. So he says, while pointing to some used, burnt out looking light bulbs on the counter, "I changed the light bulbs on your car, it's $11 extra." I reply in a stern tone, "I didn't ask for that." So he quickly says, "that's fine," because he sees there's another customer behind me, and that customer might overhear this talk. This guy is shady. He charged me $2 more for the gas cap. I didn't want to quibble over it, because of 2 reasons: I started reading the receipt after I already left, and even if I did read it at the station, I didn't want to cause a scene over $2. Hey man, if you're reading this, being a dishonest person won't win you repeat business. And over several dollars? Man, you got no moral compass....Thanks for steering me clear from you in the future. You unfortunately fit the stereotype of "dishonest mechanic." read more
