I knew this…read morebeautiful puppy was going to be a large 90 to 100 lb adult so I sought out locating a qualified professional dog trainer. I chose private training lessons with Lisa Newman. Upon our arrival I could see immediately Lisa was a person who was an advocate for the ethical treatment and loving environment for animals of all kinds. Our first training session with Lisa Newman and my Mom's dog Duchess was amazing. Duchess was comfortable and felt secure with Lisa and although Duchess was resistant at first by the end of the first lesson Duchess was compliant with commands. By the fifth training lesson Duchess was sitting, staying, laying down, heeling, coming on command and not aggressive with the cats, chickens or other animals there. Following Lisa's instructions my Mom & I took Duchess to Tractor Supply and I had no trouble out of Duchess she stayed to my left side at all times not pulling ahead of me would sit on command was social with allowing adults and children to pet her. I now have the tools necessary to build upon to have a controllable, compliant, and loving dog. Lisa is most defiantly a professional trainer and well professed in her ability to help you achieve great results with your pet which is also the family guard dog.

Cameron comes every week to help me train. I like the patience that is shown to my dogs and to myself as well. I like the camaraderie that we have that makes me feel comfortable, whatever the setting with my animals. I like the group sessions and feel that we have made a great deal of progress, not only privately, but in the group sessions. I started out feeling I could train my dogs like I trained my horses. I was considerably disappointed in my knowledge. With Cameron, at no time did I feel belittled or rushed. At all timesI felt that if I did not understand something, we would go over it again. I was very pleased with the schedule that was developed. We covered everything from walking, confrontation with other dogs, sensory skills, feeding and using on treats, bring collar, E-collar, whether inside my home or outside. On the dogs' side, they are happy to greet Cameron every time he comes over. They are content and much less rowdy, and a joy to be around. I had not even been able to take them into the front yard without being afraid they would run away. I have been trained with the voice commands, as well as hand commands. I have no complaints, only plaudits for a job so well done.
