I wanted someone who was knowledgeable with dogs and compassionate as well. I thought the price was terrifically acceptable and the amenities that came with the price were very good. Cameron comes every week to help me train. I like the patience that is shown to my dogs and to myself as well. I like the camaraderie that we have that makes me feel comfortable, whatever the setting with my animals. I like the group sessions and feel that we have made a great deal of progress, not only privately, but in the group sessions. I started out feeling I could train my dogs like I trained my horses. I was considerably disappointed in my knowledge. With Cameron, at no time did I feel belittled or rushed. At all timesI felt that if I did not understand something, we would go over it again. I was very pleased with the schedule that was developed. We covered everything from walking, confrontation with other dogs, sensory skills, feeding and using on treats, bring collar, E-collar, whether inside my home or outside. On the dogs' side, they are happy to greet Cameron every time he comes over. They are content and much less rowdy, and a joy to be around. I had not even been able to take them into the front yard without being afraid they would run away. I have been trained with the voice commands, as well as hand commands. I have no complaints, only plaudits for a job so well done.

My boy has issues with impulse control but now I have the tools to help him overcome that. He doesn't jump on me anymore, loves to chill on his place mat and I've even been able to start teaching him some new commands.

I can honestly say we got our money's worth with this one. Gunny did a complete turn around when it comes to his behavior but still maintained his affection. I was worried his playfulness would be completely trained out of him but that isn't the case. Gunny used to jump on everyone and run out the door every chance he got. Many times we've had to sprint around the block chasing him. He chewed on everything he could fit in his mouth and never sat still. If we couldn't see him at all times, he was sure to be destroying something. If we crated him, he howled. Thanks to Canine Texas, we still have our playful adorable pup but we can relax because he actually listens. He loves his place mat now. He gets to be a part of family time now. He hasn't jumped on a single person since bringing him home nor has he tried to run out of the door. He comes when called and we can actually take him for walks on a leash now without him pulling and yanking. We did the 30 day program. Of course we missed our pup but Lonnie sent pictures and updates so we knew he was in good hands. We chose Canine Texas because our dog wouldn't be in a cage in a business. He was at someone's home, in a small group, so he got the attention he needed. Lonnie focuses on truly training the dogs not just making money.

We initially thought we'd foster her for adoption due to her dog aggression issues. After working with Travis, we decided togive Rosie a forever home ourselves. We brought Travis in to privately train her so she didn't have to deal with the stress of a group setting and because we wanted a tailored training program. With Lone Star Dog Training, we received an excellent job. Travis educated us about how training is important and what results he felt we could see. Over the course of 4 months, Rosie went from being aggressive toward our other dogs to feeling safe and comfortable with them. She's even adopted our 12 year old border terrier as her sister. Rosie has progressed from a frightened stray who did not wag her tail or understand how to take affection, to bounding and leaping with joy when she sees her people. She now seeks out our affections and looks forward to spending time with us. If not for Lone Star Dog Training, we would not have decided to keep her. It showed us what a wonderful, fun and loving dog Rosie is. Thank you, Travis , for your dedication and patience with us.

I couldn't take her anywhere. I had already spent an outrageous amount of money on another trainer with no success. I was seriously considering rehoming her. But my vet recommended Corinna and when I met her I could see immediately see, she was different. When my dog came at her with over zealous excitement Corinna handled her quietly and firmly, with very little exertion on her part. Maya spent 3 weeks at her Board & Train. Corinna sent me regular videos of Maya's progress and I couldn't believe I was seeing my dog. She even took Maya inside Home Depot and set her by herself, not tethered to anything and walked away with people walking all around and she just calmly stayed where she was told to. Wow. When I picked her up Corinna went over all her new commands and how to get the results I have been looking for. Since she has been home things are so different. We still have some chewing issues but they are improving every day. From time to time I have called Corinna up and we will discuss what is going on and she will give me advise on how to continue to work on any problems I might be having. Maya has become such a great dog. I would highly recommend Corinna to anyone having problems with their dog. She knows her stuff.

We could never leave our house for more than 15 minutes without him soiling in his crate and destroying our home. And he was horrified by just about anything. Strong winds. Garbage can lids. Golf carts. Bikes. Birds. But his greatest fear was children and their high-pitched voices. Unfortunately, predicting when kids would pop out during our walks was impossible. Our dog is very affectionate and sweet when calm, but when triggered, he would forget about his surroundings and aggressively scratch his way home (he's a big dog too), resulting in unintentional injuries for my husband and me. That said, we wanted him to experience the outdoors! Luckily, we connected with Corinna -- and we are SOOO lucky to have a dog psychiatrist, trainer, and magician in HOUSTON!! She was professional from day 0. She visited our home with a comprehensive list of questions and took copious notes. Walked us through her training methods and the different programs. We chose the 6-week intensive training, as we knew our dog had some psychological trauma that needed to be addressed. It was worth every penny. Corinna doesn't just take your money and peace out -- she truly cares. She continues to occasionally check in on us, and we trust her so much that she's our preferred dogsitter whenever we travel. A few months ago, I had a traumatized, skittish, and semi-aggressive dog. Today, I have a loving, peaceful, friendly, and calm buddy who enjoys watching me cook in the kitchen. AND HE BEGS TO GO ON WALKS!!!!!!!! As an added bonus, I've uploaded pics of my dog BEFORE and AFTER Corinna's 6-week program.
