The kids are trained by Al Macias the owner and the awesome Neeco "The Rooster" and Chaz Macias, his sons. Neeco is definitely our hometown hero. Watching him fight is so exciting. I see people complaining online about the care, to which I would say to self advocate and speak up. When I can't recall how to do an exercise I just ask. If what is being asked is too painful speak up. The staff does listen. I noticed that much of the staff is bilingual so that can be helpful too.

At first I told her, "No." But she seemed genuinely concerned as to why I was no longer interested in attending therapy. She told me that she would pass along my concerns to management. And told me that if I changed my mind, to please call. Since returning, staff have made an excellent effort at remembering my pronouns, or apologizing instantly, if they use the wrong pronouns. I can really notice a shift in their attitude - which I appreciate very much. And the therapy has helped my medical condition a lot. The therapist even gave me advice on how to warm up and modify my favorite sport.

The instructors at Alchemy took the time to teach my son as he was rolling with other students as opposed to letting a new student learn on his own with a more experienced child. Very very good instructors that re-ignited his love for BJJ. You don't need a black belt to teach a child, you need patience and the ability to communicate to a child. My son competed in his first tournament with Alchemy and can't wait for the next one. We have since moved to a new gym after re locating.
