The rock wall is no joke, either! Unlimited access during open hours (special hours for rock wall, but generally closed after 4pm). Kayaks in the pool at 6pm on Wednesdays for a $5 rental? Very clean, very well organized, all the equipment is high quality. When somethings broke, he fixes it. When things are getting worn out he replaces it. The people there are all really nice and there's a genuine community feeling whether you're 75 and staying active or 25 and working on major lifting goals. It's always tough on my (addicted) crossfit routine when I travel, but not when I visit Durango! First, the gym is attractive, with a large garage door that opens on a nice day to allow a fully unobstructed view of the mountains. They also have a beautiful, energetic, colorful mural across the wall. Most important, their trainers are awesome - very welcoming to drop ins and gave great coaching points.
