I was a little overwhelmed because I was still having an out of body experience even being a bride. That is where Daisy comes in. She IMMEDIATELY helped me clock exactly what I wanted in the simplest terms: she said "face and waist". Mind you, I'm a type C type of bride-- so I'm the type to like EVERYTHING I try on lol. But, I loved her first pick for me, she gave me everything I wanted and more. Even my best friend wanted to try on gowns with me that is how good Daisy is at her job. Honestly, I cannot recommend this place enough-- they will work with your budget and shop with your wallet in mind. Also, with this place being in DTLA, there is parking in the back, so you do not have to try to find street parking. TL;DR: if you are shopping for your dress and want someone to read your mind or even translate your dress dreams into reality, go to Daisy. She knew everything I wanted and THEN some. She even had me trying things out of my comfort zone that I loved. 10/10 would recommend.

Since the Asian employee was busy, the Latina employee initially helped us. However, when two other customers walked in, the Latina employee stopped assisting us and focused on them instead. We were left waiting without anyone acknowledging us or checking if we needed help. It felt like the other customers were receiving much better service. I had already tried on a couple of hair pieces and didn't want to remove them myself because I was afraid of damaging them, so I waited for someone to assist me. Once the Asian employee finished with her customer, I asked for help. She was kind, patient, and helped me choose a hair piece. I had also planned to purchase earrings, but after the experience, I decided not to. I ended up purchasing only the hair piece. While the quality was nice, I personally found the items to be overpriced. A funny part of the experience was that the customers the Latina employee left us for didn't end up buying anything, despite her providing them with much better customer service than she provided us. I don't know why our experience was so different, but it honestly made me wonder if she had judged us based on appearances because we weren't given the same level of attention or courtesy. If you're shopping with a budget under $100, this may not be the right place for you, and it could save you time to shop elsewhere. Unfortunately, the lack of acknowledgment and inconsistent customer service left a bad impression. Because of that, I don't plan on returning.

Instead of being welcomed, the front desk staff laughed, and one of them asked, "What are you doing here?" I replied, "I have an appointment," and they all laughed again. Looking back, I should have walked out then, but I decided to give them a chance. I was told I had to wait because no one was available to help me, even though there were four staff members standing at the front. I was told to look through the racks for dresses while I waited. Since it was my first time shopping for a wedding dress, I didn't know the process. Later, I noticed signs everywhere saying not to walk through the aisles, so my mom and I stood to the side and waited. After about 20 minutes, someone finally came to help us. She immediately asked which dresses I wanted to try on. I explained that I had no idea because this was my first bridal appointment and I was hoping for some guidance. She seemed visibly annoyed. She pulled a few dresses, and one of them was absolutely beautiful--I genuinely loved it. However, the overall attitude made me uncomfortable. At one point, she told me the dress was around $5,000 and then asked, "Can you afford it?" I replied, "Yes, I can." After that, I noticed other staff members gathering around and suddenly walking by to compliment how beautiful the dress looked on me. It felt very insincere. Even though I loved the dress, I decided not to purchase it. Buying a wedding dress is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I didn't feel confident moving forward with a boutique where I felt unwelcome and judged. I politely ended my appointment and left. As I was walking out, I heard one of the employees say, "I told you they weren't going to buy it." That confirmed I had made the right decision. Thankfully, I found my dream dress at a wonderful bridal boutique in Costa Mesa, where I was treated with kindness, respect, and genuine excitement. The difference in customer service was night and day. Every bride deserves to feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

She took my measures and created a gorgeous bridal gown and veil. I am still getting compliments to this day. My dress was affordable but custom and nothing I have seen before! Also she gives you free alterations which I'm grateful for because I lost alot of unexpected weight due to the wedding planning process. Angel is a very busy woman so occasionally she was slow to respond to calls and messages. Besides that I can honestly say I'm so glad I chose Lucky Brides.

The short version is, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. I paid ~$2000 for a custom wedding…read moredress and Angel, the owner, threw in a complimentary veil, bridal robe, and free alterations. The end product was satisfactory, but not without several mistakes and unnecessary stress. Be prepared to be on TOP of the associates as the communication is nonexistent otherwise. While Angel was lovely, her sales associates need training. I wish I could have corresponded with Angel directly, as her associates seemed to not know what was going on/did not communicate. On 8/31/24, I said yes to the dress after having exhausted 6-7 bridal shops in Phoenix. I finally felt a sense of relief. I paid in FULL that day. I signed the paperwork for my dress to be ready in March 2025, two months before my wedding. The next steps were for Yesenia to send a sketch of my dress based on the designs I wanted, within a few weeks. I waited several weeks and when I didn't get anything, I reached out to Enoch (who is no longer with them). He assured me he would get on Yesenia to send the sketch. I didn't get A sketch until 11/20/24, nearly 3 months after I had already paid for my dress, and it wasn't even a sketch of my dress! I didn't get a sketch of MY dress until 11/25/24 and it looked like something she drew in 5 minutes. Very anticlimactic. After A LOT of back and forth on the finer details, I asked if the dress was ready to START production on 12/5/24. I received no response. I sent another email on 12/9/24, no response. I finally booked a flight to LA and SHOWED UP IN PERSON on 12/14 and Yesenia looked surprised to see me. She stated that she had responded production had already started on my dress, and she had sent an email but it must not have gone through. OKAY. I started emailing her again in February asking about the status of my dress: 2/3, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1. 3/1 Yesenia stated she would send me photos of my dress and book my first fitting. She never did send me photos of my dress. I had my first fitting on 3/16/25. I was expecting for all my fittings and the dress to be finalized by this point, but I was just happy there was a dress at all. The leg slit I had asked to be on the right side, was on the left side instead. Because of the way the dress was designed, it could not easily be fixed. They did not apologize for the error at any point. They did offer to REMAKE the dress, however, with my wedding less than 2 months away (5/8/25) and the TERRIBLE communication, I did not want to take that stress or risk. I had also asked for pearl buttons on the overskirt but received satin buttons. Yesenia replied that production had responded on 2/24 (to her) that pearls cost extra; at no point had she communicated this to me. She stated she would have them swapped out for the pearl buttons. On 3/27/25, I sent all the photos of the details I wanted for my veil to Yesenia. Admittedly, there were a lot of details- I wanted a cathedral veil, scallop trim with beaded edge, and for our names and the date to be embroidered. Knowing my wedding date, and that I had to leave the COUNTRY at the beginning of May, Yesenia could have prefaced that all these details would take a month+ to make- but she never stated any sort of time frame. In April, I asked if the original alterations were completed on my dress. Lots of unanswered texts. I had my 2nd fitting on 4/26, the WEEKEND before I was leaving the COUNTRY for my wedding. Luckily the dress came together, even though the leg slit was wrong. The veil was not ready for me to take home that day. Yesenia stated she could have it shipped for $8 or next day shipping for $33. I stated that I would not be paying for shipping over text, and I reiterated this again during the 2nd fitting. She agreed to wave the cost. The veil shipped on 4/28 and I received it on 4/30, a mere 3 days before leaving the country. Luckily the veil was beautiful, albeit the embroidery was smaller than I expected- but everything was spelled correctly (a point I reiterated multiple times via text). At the end of the day, everything turned out OKAY but it certainly was unnecessarily stressful and unenjoyable. I didn't have the dress of my dreams (because of the leg slit on the wrong side- and I didn't utilize the leg slit on the left side) which is crushing when you're promised it and PAYING for it. I don't recommend Lucky Brides for your peace of mind.

I can't even begin to explain how happy I am with this company! My girlfriend picked out an engagement ring that she wanted and it was absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the one I ordered wasn't the correct one (they were similar and I am an airhead sometimes lol). I explained the situation to MJ and was able to return the one I ordered for the correct one, no questions asked! The production time for both of the rings was far shorter than what they anticipated and the response to my emails and questions was very quick also. I usually get nervous with larger purchases but I felt comfortable through this entire process. Eli knew exactly what I meant when I asked for a beautifully symmetric diamonds and not crushed ice. We vibed right away. He has great taste and knows what a beautiful diamond looks like from an ugly one. Because let me tell you, there are a lot of ugly diamonds out there and there are many brokers who will try to convince you that they're pretty! I also really appreciated that he didn't ask what my budget was like so many other places. He focused on finding me not one, but two perfectly matched pairs of diamonds for studs. All of the other places wouldn't show me more than one pair. And you know what? I took both pairs because they were both so perfect I couldn't let them go! Other places told me it was impossible to find 2 old mine cushion cut matching diamonds but Eli did it. And he did it in like 2 days! He called me and kept me updated. When he showed me the diamonds he was super patient as I studied each one. There was never, at any point any sales pressure. He let me think over which pair I wanted without threatening that they'd be gone the next day (unlike Capri). I highly recommend him and wish I had found him before I got engaged!

I was looking for an engagement-style ring for my wife to celebrate our second year of marriage…read more Since we didn't really do a traditional engagement with a proper ring, I initially started searching for diamonds solitaires, the classic de-facto choice. After a few months of grueling online research and self-learning, and after seeing a few dozen stones from James Allen, Blue Nile and from local shops here on 47th street, I kept having this nagging feeling that something was missing from the big picture. Even though everything I saw was gorgeous and dazzling, I was somehow dissatisfied. Then I suddenly realized that diamonds are really not that special, they're quite common in fact and because prices are so artificially inflated although the inventory is huge, I decided to switch my strategy altogether and opt for a natural sapphire instead. Finding the right jeweler in NY can be a daunting task so once again I fell back to the internet and ultimately found Jupiter Gem in LA of all places. There was another online competitor local to NY, but I couldn't find anything I really liked on their website at the time and since I was looking for a very specific "padparadscha" sapphire, the options were slim. From the first moment I contacted Jupiter Gem, I was amazed at their professional attitude and courtesy, and at how promptly they responded to all my questions and concerns whether by email or phone. Their inventory was quite impressive and I was a bit skeptical at spending a large sum of money over the internet without even seeing the actual product, but Elvira (their PR/CEO) was extremely helpful and patient. Not only did she send me lots of pictures and custom-made videos of the stones that I wanted to see (most of them within a few hours notice) but she also helped me narrow down my choices of stones by labeling and describing each one in particular. It was like having a personal shopping assistant with me at all times. At no point during all this back-and-forth did I feel pressured in making a decision or being steered towards purchasing a more expensive stone. As a matter of fact the top selection of stones she and Krishna, the owner, suggested were within 5k and 17K which is quite a large margin. What I also appreciated was their honesty at disclosing the small imperfections or inclusions that some stones might have. Elvira always pointed out flaws in the stones and let me decide by myself if I still wanted them or not. After I chose the stone, we went through another long process of designing the ring. I provided them with a picture of a model I had in mind and they managed to create an exact replica of it. The ring was done in a few stages, one of them being a CAD model which they showed me in order to make sure that all my specifications were met rigorously. All in all it took about a week for the ring to be ready and it came out absolutely perfect. I could not have been happier. After finally receiving it, I gave it to my wife and I could see that she was completely mesmerized by it. In the first day we already got a few compliments from random people on the street and in a bar. For me the whole experience with Jupiter Gem was absolutely excellent. Highly recommended for an alternative choice to diamonds. They also stand by the quality of their craftsmanship and offer 6 months warranty on their work. A one time ring re-sizing is free.

I left each appointment with a compounding feeling of dread... until our appointment at Sofia Kaman. We met Jen for a 1:1 at the showroom, and she made a most stellar impression on us. We tried on everything for size, and I rambled for an hour naming all the different conceptual things I wanted. Whether or not I described them correctly, or whether the combination of any one of them was even technically possible, Jen took copious notes and care to document my every thought. Later that night, she emailed us a meticulous, thorough recap of our conversation. Jen tactfully raised a few flags about my ideas, while offering genuine solutions and suggestions. She was clear about managing our expectations without being condescending, unlike every other jeweler we'd met up to that point. She was the first person who offered me hope on this journey, and a path forward to thoughtfully collaborate on a ring. Over the next two months, we met several times and exchanged dozens of emails. The design process was truly a dream with Jen, and we were lucky enough to meet and collaborate with Sofia herself. These brilliant women brought the ring of my dreams to life -- a ring that I will cherish forever, and that future generations in my family will surely fight over in the centuries to come.

I'm not even exaggerating, the very first ring she pulled out was exactly what I had envisioned. It honestly caught me off guard in the best way. I remember thinking... wait, how did she just nail that so perfectly? The whole experience felt so intentional and special from start to finish. We were sipping champagne, taking our time, and going through different options without any pressure. She did pull out a few other rings for me to try, but I kept coming back to that first one. It was just it. You know when something immediately feels right... that's exactly how it felt. What really stood out to me was how different this experience was compared to other jewelry stores I had gone to before. I had shopped around at a few places, and to be honest, a lot of them felt pushy and transactional. It felt more like they were trying to sell me something rather than help me find something meaningful. I never felt fully comfortable or confident walking out of those places. With Sofia, it was the complete opposite. She created such a calm, welcoming environment and truly took the time to guide me through everything. I had never owned a diamond before, so I didn't know much going into it, but she educated me on the different types of diamonds in a way that felt empowering, not overwhelming. I felt like I could actually make an informed decision, which meant a lot to me. After a year, the ring became bent and was turning my finger GREEN! I took it back to her and she told us she would sent it back to see if they can fix and re-plate it because that shouldn't have happened. When I went to pick it up she said she couldn't re-plate and I had to buy a new one. She also said this was the first time in 50 years anything has broke, but looking at these comments that was not true. Would not recommend and to find better products on Amazon!

They finished my wife's engagement ring in just under 1 hour than finished her wedding band less than a week. They have a very large inventory of engagement rings designs and fine jewelry. Along with any shape, size color, clarity diamonds on hand that's for your price range. I referred my colleague over to Sonny for a unique design which they were able to create a 3D model of the exact design he was looking and searching for he was also very impressed on how quick the turnaround time from start to finish on the design. From showing an image of what he was searching for but wasn't able to find anywhere along with the price was ridiculous overpriced. Sonny was able to finish and knock it out everything less than 10 days. I highly recommend Errol's Jewelry especially they've been around the Jewelry District since the 1970's.
