The woman walks around the corner and said can I help you? and I told her I tried to sign in and told her what the computer said. She asked if I had scanned my insurance card, which I replied no because the computer never prompted me to do that. I also told her I had already paid for the procedure so did I still need to scan the insurance card She said you have to scan your insurance card or it will not pull the information over to my side. So I go back sign in again and it still does not prompt me to scan my insurance card. While I'm looking at the machine, I asked her at what point do I scan the insurance card? She had apparently left the front desk and came back when she heard me. At this point, she said,"I didn't hear you because I wasn't up here." She seemed irritated and said what does the screen say to do? I told her it was asking me what I was there for today and she said labs! Well, I knew that I was there for labs. I knew how to fill out the rest of the stuff, it just had never prompted me for the insurance card and she didn't let me finish talking to tell her that. She never said hello, How are you doing, nothing. She just opened the door and said, "come on back."She couldn't have been much more unpleasant. Why do people take jobs dealing with the public if they can't try to be pleasant or smile? Customer service was terrible. Also loved how she spent about two seconds cleaning my arm with alcohol and put my "clean" gauze on the arm of the chair which she used to then dry the alcohol off my arm with. Gross. Used the same piece to wrap the gauze over. I also saw no identification on her or I would have put her name.

They already had this information in their system from a previous visit, I put it on the check in form today, and we even verbally confirmed the medication I am allergic to and they still prescribed it. I had to call the clinic, get a different medication sent to the pharmacy.
