I drove 3 hours from Oakland just because I had heard such amazing reviews on Dr. Anwar and how he is exceptionally great with patients brand new to botox. When I arrived, I was noticeably scared and had no idea what to expect walking in. I immediately received a very welcoming feeling by Dr. Anwar's assistant Kari . She was so pleasant and sweet! She got me all set up and handed me water so I could calm my nerves as we discussed pricing and package options. Dr. Anwar came in and completely put me at ease with his calming nature and confidence he exuded. That to me always makes me as a patient feel 100% more confident knowing the Dr. I chose is experienced and confident in his work. He provided me all the informational material I needed and answered all of my over analytical questions and what ifs with a smile prior to any procedure taking place. :) This being my first time as well as just dreading needles in general, his assistant held my hand and completely distracted me with conversation that I didn't even feel the needle! I initially just wanted it in certain spots on my forehead but after experiencing how pain free and gentle the doctor was I had him tackle a few more areas which he did with ease! The procedure went so well and was very quick! I was in and out in no time! The new office is modern and very tranquil inside. Made me want to sit back and get all kinds of services done! haha. After researching for months to find a reliable doctor who had Amazing before and after photos and reviews I came across Dr Anwar. When I made my appointment they accommodated my schedule. They were absolutely so sweet and answered all my questions kindly. And I did have a lot of questions. I never felt rushed. When I arrived at the office they gave me a very warm greeting, explained everything in detail and we got started. The office is intimate, bright and very comfortable. I brought my sister along with me and a couple times Dr. Anwar referred to her by her name. And I commented to him that I really appreciated that he remembered her name. It just goes to show you how personable he is. During my procedure I did get a little light-headed and immediately Dr. Anwar noticed, stopped and we took about a 10-minute break for me to get my blood sugar back up. He knew exactly what to do and I was also really thankful for that. The procedure was quick and easy hardly any pain. Dr. Anwar listened to all my questions, concerns and he 100% achieved my goal of what I wanted my lips to look like. I recommend him hands down to all of my friends. I will make the trip from Sonoma County to his medical office anytime because I had a wonderful experience. He is amazing at what he does. His whole staff is wonderful, friendly and professional. I started seeing Dr. Anwar late 2020 for lip fillers. I went to see him after getting my lips done somewhere else and realizing that I got scammed. My experience with Dr. Anwar was completely different. He explained the process to me, how much product he was using and educated me on his technique - which felt very safe and I truly felt that I was in good hands. I haven't gone anywhere else since. Once I realized that Dr. Anwar was someone I could trust, I started taking advantage of the other services Modern Aesthetics offers. I have gotten laser hair removal, a cool peel and a hydra facial. all I could say is that I love LOVE coming here. One of the female that was working in the front desk was extremely rude. She had an attitude the entire time and a smirk on her face. I received Botox even though that was not my original request, but apparently I needed them so sure. The doctor didn't tell me exactly how many units he was going to inject me; he did what he thought I needed and oh, they do not numb your face. I didn't know the price of the units until I checked out and wow, they definitely charge way more than other domestic places. Drove 50 minutes one way just to be unsatisfied with my experience. I would NOT come back. Also, they have all my personal info on their data base. Based on the other negative reviews, they actually try matching names on Yelp and onto their database claiming it's an untruthful review. Total HIPAA violation. read more

ANWAR LASER was recommended to me by a friend of a friend....I had been battling facial hair for 26 years. I tried two other laser suites in the past. Anwar Laser, asks their patron's to keep to their schedule as ANWAR LASER keeps to their schedule. I am a home infusion nurse and have a strict calendar. Keeping to my time is mandatory. I am in and then out. The parking is accessible. The suite is uncrowded. I had problems with an uneven skin. DR was able to prescribe and formulate a cream right there. I love the results and unlike the past laser, this one is tolerable for me. I don't have to wait until my face is numb...there is a spiciness to the laser, but I can tolerate it. I will continue with the laser because I beleive it is affordable compared to lasers in the past. read more

I went two modern aesthetics going in for Botox and doctor recommended to get threads and filler and said I would have results as time goes by two months later I saw nothing and the filler that he used disappeared as well the odd thing is I never saw him open up a Juvéderm or any other filler packet he just had needles ready so I don't even know if he used genuine filler or not I contacted the office to see why I'm not seeing results and their reply was to me we can no longer offer you services you should take a surgical approach well if you guys wanted me to take a surgical approach then why waste my $1600 on threads knowing they would not be successful so this place is a waste of money and they are very unprofessional read more

Dr Anwar is an injection god. I went today and he did injection techniques I didn't know existed. I've gotten injections at other medspas in the past and was never "wowed" but I literally wowed out loud when I saw the results today. I'm blown away. He knows the products well and he knows how to use them properly for your face structure and skin type. Personality-wise, he has a very, very kind spirit and demeanor. Just a really nice dude!
