I've always had to wait significant amounts of time in the waiting room (20-30 minutes, or more), but not very long once in an exam room. I usually have to wait a while to be checked in, so don't count on being seen at your appointment time if you show up on time... Doctor seems competent, though. I'd recommend him for your GP, but you will have to look past the rude front desk experience. I used to see Dr. Lance in the same practice, but he left apparently to do other types of medicine (occupational, I think). Lab services on-site. Waiting room is extremely irritating with advertisement televisions blaring obnoxious music and useless information at you over and over. Bring earplugs and a good book, or feel free to peruse the multitude of pharmaceutical pamphlets that litter the book shelves.

Dr. Jun Ro is fantastic. He actually spends time with his patients and discusses their health with…read morethem. Feel free to ask questions regarding medications, diet, symptoms, etc. Almost all records are kept electronically, so review of previous records is quite easy. Dr. Ro also seems to be knowledgeable about the latest medical treatments and technologies. Further, Emory Johns Creek hospital is literally in the building next door, so world class health services are not far away. Small office with limited staff, but that has never caused an issue for me. LaShonda, office manager/medical assistant, is great at her job as well. Appointments are generally on time. In house lab results are usually available within 1-2 days, AND, Dr. Ro will call the results to you personally! Finally, Dr. Ro seems to be willing to price his services in such a manner that works for patients without insurance, or on a limited budget. I highly recommend Dr. Ro and his practice to anyone!

The receptionist who was having a full blown conversation on the phone while trying to ask for my number in between breaths when I origami scheduled it would be to blame .She took my phone number down totally wrong and as a result we wasted time and money waiting nearly a month to get turned away. Their excuse for cancelling my child's asthma/ allergies appt. was the nurse left and the doctor apparently can't do doctor stuff without his nurse. Are you serious??? Yes they were, and the doctor himself never apologized he had his other staff do it. He could care less about caring for the ill. Oh let me not leave out the fact that I work in the same building as him and they didn't bother to try to contact me here, pathetic. He should be ashamed of himself for not being adequately staffed especially when he is aware of he has patients scheduled. In my opinion he's incompetent and I'm glad I dodged that bullet.

I'm updating my review because of the "eh" feelings I've gotten from the nurse at this practice…read more I've had three interactions with her since my son's well-visit a week ago. At his visit, she started out friendly enough - he's four so quickly loses interest when it comes to the eye test, and he obviously thinks shots are a form of torture. By the end of the eye test, he was only half participating, and she noted that she thought the test would be better administered at the age of five because, attention span. I had a very pleasant visit with Dr. Holzwarth, and after that, the dreaded shots to be administered by the nurse. My husband is usually the "bad guy" with shots, and after a whole two years without having to have shots, my son's at the perfect age to understand what's coming. Husband was working, so mom got to be the "bad guy." The nurse's bedside manner was just lacking here. First she told me that he was responding to me "feeding into it" (excuse me?), and after sticking him twice for the Tuberculosis test, she gave up on getting a result (so I guess we'll take our chances there?). The shots were horrible (that's normal), but her attitude made it worse. She didn't try to comfort or interact with my son while all of this is going on. She had to call me back later that day to request a retest of the finger prick, and she brought an attitude to that call. Since then, my son's been sick, and I called to see if they wanted to see him prior to his test tomorrow considering his three day spout with a high fever. She again had an attitude, taking a tone like "what is the question here?", so I had to explain that I wanted to know if he should come in today instead of tomorrow, to which she replied "how high is the fever?" and told me she'd call me later today to determine if tomorrow's appointment should be a sick visit (aka copay). For the record, she hasn't called. I'm annoyed. One nurse can ruin the whole experience with a pediatrician, and I'm already on the lookout for a new one. Keep in mind this is a small practice, so the odds of her being my son's nurse are too high for me to be comfortable moving forward. If you have an attitude 100% of the time I interact with you, then you should probably think of a new profession or at the very least, a different environment.

I…read morecame to Dr. Frederick for a 3rd opinion for a surgery and I left the appointment feeling ready to move forward with the surgery. This was something I was putting off for 2 years due to it not being urgent and fear of having surgery but Dr. Frederick explained the procedure in detail and answered all of my questions which made me feel comfortable compared to the other 2 doctors I met with prior. I had a wonderful first time surgery experience with Dr. Frederick and the rest of my care team from North Fulton Outpatient Surgery center. I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Frederick and that he would take good care of me and he did just that. My husband & sister were very impressed with Dr. Frederick as well as he took the time to explain the procedure to them the day of and answered all of their questions. He also called my husband immediately after the surgery to give him an update on how everything went which my husband very much appreciated as he was worried himself in the waiting room. Over the past 2 months I have recommended two of my coworkers to this practice for regular GYN care and first time OB care and they both had great experiences with the nurse practitioners that they saw. One of my coworkers even recommended her sister who came back with great reviews as well. Dr. Frederick hires the best doctors, midwives & nurse practitioners so whoever you see here you will be in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Frederick and his team for any and all OB-GYN services that you may need. They have two office locations: Roswell & Johns Creek and delivery at North Fulton Hospital & Emory Johns Creek hospital.

One Star: My Experience With Dr. Hugan Frederick…read more I am writing this review years later, now pregnant with my third and working in pregnancy and pediatric healthcare myself, because I finally have the clarity and strength to speak on my experience with Dr. Hugan Frederick in October 2021. What happened during my care left a lasting impact on me as a first-time mother, and it is something I would want any expecting patient to know before choosing their provider. During my pregnancy, I was routed to Emory Johns Creek Hospital due to unexplained bleeding at 36 weeks. While the hospital itself had its own issues, my interactions with Dr. Frederick were what ultimately left me feeling unseen, unsupported, and dismissed during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. When I called the office crying because a high-risk doctor at the hospital informed me, without any discussion or consent, that a C-section had already been scheduled for me, Dr. Frederick eventually came to speak with me. Instead of reassurance or guidance, he told me that he "had somewhere to be." That statement set the tone for the rest of my labor and delivery. During labor, I was offered an epidural repeatedly after declining several times, which made me feel pressured rather than supported. When it was time to push, Dr. Frederick stood several feet back, leaning against the wall, checking his watch far more than he checked on me. There was no coaching, no encouragement, and no genuine presence. It felt like I was an inconvenience and he was simply waiting for the clock to run out. What made the situation worse is that I later found out someone from the practice had documented that they spent 30 to 45 minutes speaking with me, something that never happened. As a patient, it is incredibly unsettling to discover that documentation in your medical record does not reflect reality. I understand now, with more birth experience and medical training behind me, that birth can be unpredictable and complicated, and that outcomes vary. But what I experienced with Dr. Frederick was not a matter of medical unpredictability. It was a matter of care that felt cold, inattentive, and disengaged. During labor and delivery, a patient needs advocacy, communication, and compassion, and in my experience, those things were not present. As a healthcare provider today, I know how deeply vulnerable pregnancy and birth can be, and how crucial it is for patients to feel safe, heard, and supported. I would not recommend Dr. Frederick to anyone seeking that level of care during such an important time. I sincerely hope his patient care has changed since 2021, but based on my own experience, I cannot in good faith recommend him as a provider.
