My experience with Dr. Barajas left me feeling dismissed rather than heard, particularly when I was trying to communicate my concerns and needs as a patient. What made the situation even more upsetting was my interaction with Falicia, the Canton branch manager. When I spoke with her by phone regarding the doctor's decision to dismiss me as a patient, I felt that instead of helping resolve the situation, the conversation became argumentative. I should not have to argue with a branch manager simply to have my concerns heard and to understand what is happening with my care. I understand that medical practices may have policies regarding patient dismissal. However, patients deserve to be treated respectfully throughout that process. Communication should be professional, calm, and focused on addressing the patient's concerns rather than becoming confrontational. This experience has caused me significant frustration and has left me feeling that my concerns as a patient were not handled appropriately. I hope the practice takes this complaint seriously and reviews how this situation was handled, including both my interactions with Dr. Barajas and my phone conversation with the Canton branch manager. After reviewing my husband's CT scan, he said that there was so much infection in the gallbladder that he couldn't operate on him until the infection was gone. He didn't want to send my husband home due to the fact he would receive antibiotics through an IV and that would work faster than sending him home and taking pills plus my husband was in so much pain, he was given pain meds through his IV as well. My husband's WBC went down and Dr. Dua was notified. He came in during a snow storm on a Saturday to perform surgery. He called in a team who he knew would be able to come in safely and they operated on my husband. After the surgery was over, Dr. Dua came out to talk to me. He said that even though my husband's WBC was down and it was good to perform surgery, he told me my husband's gallbladder was full of infection, which surprised him very much. He proceeded to tell me that any other surgeon, probably would have cut into my husband to get his gallbladder out due to what my husbands looked like. Dr. Dua said he was able to remove my husband's gallbladder laparoscopic. What a relief I felt knowing he could do this. Quicker healing, out of the hospital in a day if WBC was normal. Thank you so much Dr. Dua for performing a successful gallbladder surgery on my husband. His recovery has been remarkable and he feels 100% better. Also, I thank you for coming in during the snow storm. I know you could have called and said you would do int the next day, but you went beyond the call of duty, along with your team, to perform a successful gallbladder removal in my husband. I needed bloodwork done, my normal routine bloodwork, my insurance covers Labcorp. I have requested Dr Niazi's office to send over lab requests three separate times. I've shown up at Labcorp and no lab requests. So I go pick them up at Dr Niazi's office and they are the wrong requests. The staff at Niazi's office just printed off of mychart. Not the right thing, It was not lab orders. I go to do a echeck in at wellstar today for next weeks appointment and that too is wrong. It says I have no insurance and I am the responsible party, THEY HAVE MY INSURANCE CARD. It's been the same insurance for a year and I visited the same DR in April. So, they took off the insurance. It is one big headache at the facility with the staff. Next year I will go elsewhere. They have gotten that bad. I shouldn't have to correct staff every time I go in. I am very disappointed because I like Dr Niazi, just not his staff.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Livitz as my PCP. I find her to be very knowledgeable and not quick to medicate. However, I work 5 days a week, 8-5. I am a Registered Nurse at a facility that is difficult to take time off due to being in a transitional phase. I scheduled a telemedicine appointment with Dr. Livitz. I wait an hour, called the office to confirm I had the write day and time, I did! Dr.Livitz never showed up! I should charge her for that visit since it pulled me away from work. I let it go because she sent me an apology and said she would call that evening. She never called. This never happened before. I made my yearly physical appointment. Last week I left work early to get to this appointment. My Supervisor covered my patients so that I could see her. I showed up 15 minutes early as requested. My appointment was at 2:30, I was pulled into a room at 3:00. I let the Nurse know I had to go back to work. She stated Dr.Livitz was worth the wait. I waited and waited. 3:35 and still no sign of the Dr. My time is just as valuable as Dr. Livitz. Another day pulled away from work with no visit with the Dr. Now, I am not going to tell you to go elsewhere because I have been pleased with my care. I have family who are pleased with their choice of physicians. Dr.Livitz is a great physician but, it is rude to not show up for your appointments or have someone notify the patient that you are behind schedule. If you have nothing better to do with your time, go see her. Otherwise, choose another physician. My family loves Dr. Bruni and Dr. Morris. I now have to find another physician. Every member of the staff I encountered treated me with kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern. My room was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. The Environmental Services staff did an outstanding job keeping everything spotless. On the first morning of my stay, my wife immediately commented on how clean the room looked--something she had never said during any previous hospital stay. The staff thoroughly cleaned and dusted the room, mopped the floor, and even changed the trash bag even though it was barely full. Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I also noticed a small device under the sink that I later learned was a Synexis air purification system. It operates so quietly that I never heard it, but I was impressed to learn that it continuously helps improve air and surface quality by generating a safe form of hydrogen peroxide. It was reassuring to see Northside Hospital Cherokee investing in technology that helps protect patients from the spread of germs. The food service exceeded my expectations. There was a wide variety of menu choices, the meals arrived on schedule, the portions were generous, the food was served at the proper temperature, and every meal was exactly what I ordered. Hospital food often gets a bad reputation, but that certainly wasn't my experience here. My discharge process was one of the smoothest I've ever experienced. Nurse Brenda made sure my wife and I had everything packed so nothing was left behind. She asked my wife to bring the car around to the entrance, and within just a couple of minutes I was on my way home. The entire process was efficient, organized, and stress-free. The highlight of my stay, however, was the nursing staff. Their compassion, professionalism, and positive attitudes made all the difference. Brenda and Elizabeth cared for me during the day, while Nancy and another night-shift nurse--whose name I unfortunately cannot remember--provided excellent care overnight. I gave birth to my first baby here and we well taken care of. During our stay, they found a couple…read moreof issues with my baby and they said he will not leave the hospital yet. Because I am his mother, they let me nest in the hospital with him so I could breastfeed him. It was a hard five days in the hospital, but the staff did everything they could to take care of both of us. I want to give a big thank you to the night time nurse Sarah who made sure my little man was getting the best treatment so we could go home and be a family.
