Antony's is a gem, hidden away from the main throng of restaurants in the nearby Queensway and Westbourne Grove.
The menu contains many traditional Polish dishes - plenty of pork, dumplings, pickled vegetables, soups and warming seasonal specials. Very good if you like meat, and things with meat. They also have an excellent selection of wine.
I have eaten here a few times over the years, and have always enjoyed it. The service has been good, the owner sometimes comes out and makes sure you're feeling at home, and has always been keen to hear comments on the food. I'd sum up the atmosphere as being very friendly - a good place to bring a group of people for a hearty meal. The food is excellent, and if you don't know what something is on the menu, the staff are happy to explain.
In the summer the windows at the front are opened, and if you want, you can watch the world (well, Porchester Road) go by. It's really rather pleasant. read more
