I paid a huge sum to transfer into a new unit because the first one was uncomfortable, and the…read moresecond has been absolutely uninhabitable, to the point where I'm now sleeping in my car every day. In the first unit, the floors were paper thin and my upstairs neighbor kept waking me up. There was almost no natural light because a tree blocked the view. I emailed about it for a month, before management said a transfer might be possible, but it would cost $3,100 plus $250 more per month, including $50 (additional) for parking and about $200 extra in rent. I used the last of my savings to transfer for the sake of my health. The new unit has 8 HVAC units directly above the bedroom - I wasn't made aware of this prior to my moving in, and I wasn't allowed to tour the new unit either. The vibrations are so strong they rattle the walls and ceiling, and not even AirPods Pro ANC block them. They go off anywhere from once an hour to constantly, and because there are 8 of them, they all make different, unpredictable noises. Some sound like slow deep bass that can be felt in the bones while others make rapid whirring noises like a washing machine. It is impossible to sleep - I have been sleeping in my car since I moved here. I paid a $3100 transfer fee and am now paying $2600 a month to sleep in my car. I've submitted numerous normal and emergency maintenance requests and contacted management repeatedly about this issue. I have documented many recordings of the noise, including timestamps and proof of volumes above habitable levels, and have provided them upon request. Maintenance agreed that the vibrations and noise are unusual, and the layout of having 8 HVACs on one unit was strange, and they've tried a couple different fixes - unfortunately, none of which have worked. The sleep deprivation has made me sick on multiple occasions, and I have been in the ER. Management is now asking me to pay a lease break fee to leave, despite the hazardous situation and clear health impact. I have explained that I cannot afford this and have tried to follow up repeatedly, but I have not received a response in over a week and cannot reach anyone by phone, through email, or in person. I think Simone and Xiena are genuinely friendly people who try their best to communicate with renters, but management as a whole is very difficult to reach. This experience has caused me so much anxiety and deteriorated my mental and physical health.

5 stars for: * Responsiveness, professionalism, flexibility,…read moreand proactiveness of the management and office staff - from the first interaction, through lease signing, tenant communications, and off-boarding. They also went above and beyond for example by letting movers access the property while we were away. * Responsiveness, experience, and follow-up of the maintenance team. I needed a few minor items addressed at move-in: Replace/ fix stove burners, adjust AC, fix screen door - they addressed all within a day or so and kept me informed through the process. * Nice, safe location with a park across the street, walking distance to downtown, quiet (we often have the windows open for a cooling breeze especially while sleeping). Easy parking. We have one covered space and can always find an open space for our other vehicle, no matter the day or time of day. * Curb appeal outside and inside. Immediately you'll notice the lush well-kept grounds with mature trees. They just installed new bark mulch throughout. There are multiple 2 story buildings charmingly arranged with the landscaping, pools, and driveways. Some buildings have new roofs and fresh paint. Inside, our unit has updated cabinets, counters, appliances, and flooring...a washer and dryer too. The floor plan of our two bed room makes good use of the space and each room is sufficiently sized. * On-site amenities: Multiple pools, jacuzzi, workout room, larger laundry facilities...pet friendly Newer places will have higher ceilings, fancier workout rooms / pools. But with Pleasanton Glenn's friendly and competent staff and relaxing natural atmosphere will make a comfortable home.

They are quick to upgrade/replace appliances rather than let you suffer through multiple repairs. The location is perfect for walking downtown to enjoy dinner out or concerts in the park, farmers market and all of the downtown activities. Property has 3 pools So it is never crowded even during the middle of the heatwaves. Very nice gym and hot tub. Lots of trees and wildlife. Not uncommon to find deer noshing on plants near the cars or wild turkeys coming up from the creek below. Very serene environment. We have a new Crocodile to discourage the wildlife sharing our pool haha he is not as ferocious as he looks but seems to be working well! Property is pet friendly with plenty of curbing stations stocked with doggie bags.

He shows up in a rush and cussing and yelling " I'm so damn busy for this today, and used other profanity for his unorganized responsibilities. Not only are we not able to view the actual property or unit, but we're told to see another site to get an idea of the layout. Why the hell would I put down a deposit or want to see a location where I won't be living. This individual is so rude, so unorganized. Yet has the audacity to cuss at customers. Whoever the property or site owners or management is, fire this guy. This is a customer service job, not a job handed by your family where you can do as you please.Disgusting attitude! Recent response- I have not had anyone contact me via phone or email so that's strange. What ever it may be, you should fire an employee Mike who takes advantage of their job and cusses at future residents. I'll be reporting this to the better business bureau as well.

My transfer into my new apartment was one of the most stressful housing experiences I've had. Unfortunately, the issues started before I even received my keys due to repeated communication problems, delays, and inconsistent information from the leasing office. Because of the lack of communication and repeated delays from the leasing office, I ended up moving into my apartment more than a day later than originally scheduled. I was left waiting on lease documents, payment information, and other move-in details that should have been provided well in advance. This completely disrupted my moving plans and created unnecessary stress. When I finally moved in, the apartment was not move-in ready. It was dirty, with visible dust, dirt, bugs, and numerous maintenance issues throughout the unit. I have photos and videos documenting the condition of the apartment on move-in day. Within my first week of living here, I had already submitted over eight maintenance requests, including issues with: * A dryer that did not work. * A guest bathroom toilet that would not flush properly. * A closet light that did not work. * An electrical outlet in the living room with no power. * A cracked balcony door. * Peeling paint. * Multiple cracks and chips throughout the apartment. * Other maintenance concerns that should have been addressed before anyone moved in. Communication throughout this process has been extremely disappointing. I worked primarily with Erika, who made several commitments regarding my move and billing. I was told I would receive a follow-up call, but it never came. I requested an email summarizing our conversation, which I never received. I was also told the rest of the leasing team would be updated on what we discussed, but that clearly did not happen because I later received conflicting information regarding my account. In addition, Andrea and Alfredo told me on multiple occasions that someone would call me back regarding my concerns. Most of those promised calls never happened. When you're repeatedly told someone will contact you and they don't, it breaks your trust and leaves you feeling like your concerns are not being taken seriously. I also requested to speak with or receive the contact information for a manager more than three times--twice verbally and once by email. To date, no manager has contacted me, and my email requesting assistance has never been responded to. That level of customer service is extremely frustrating, especially when trying to resolve issues that were not caused by me. Another disappointing part of this experience was that no one initially apologized for the inconvenience or acknowledged the stress this situation caused. It wasn't until I specifically pointed out that no one had even apologized that I finally received one. Moving is already stressful enough. Instead of being excited about transferring into my new home, I spent my first several days documenting problems, submitting maintenance requests, following up on billing discrepancies, and repeatedly trying to get someone in management to respond. The Galloway at Owen: This transfer turned what should have been an exciting experience into a frustrating and exhausting one. I genuinely hope Essex and the Galloway at Owens leasing office improve their communication, accountability, follow-through, and move-in preparation process. No resident should have their move delayed because of avoidable communication failures or receive an apartment that isn't ready for move-in.
