Sub standard tacos... Sub standard service and the tacos definitely lacked flavor and spice. Still on the hunt for traditional tacos that I am used to in LA. So let it be written... So let it be EATEN!!

We got the combo plate and each item was flavorful. Try the Al pastor! Best horchata we ever had. My daughter loved the tamales, too full for flan.... We'll try it next time.

"Breakfast sausage" burrito...

I've had tacos from here before that were fine, but this morning my usual taco truck was closed so I decided to try a breakfast burrito from here... biggest mistake I think I have ever made. Literally ever. There were basically mashed potato's in my burrito, which I could probably get past, but I ordered a breakfast sausage burrito and there are literally hotdogs in it! I live a few blocks from this place and I'm so bummed I honestly will never go back. I'd rather drive to Mexico for a burrito then eat at this place. Day ruined.

BEEF nachoes and carne asada tacos and Lengua tacos.
Tokii L.

This is by far one of the best hole in the walls that I've been to. The food portions are huge! There is a sassy Latina girl who works at the counter who has a very laid back attitude, the atmosphere is dim lit with wrestling on the tv and random stools to sit on. The menu is plastered on the right wall with worn pictures of the food items. If you come here at night you might question what you are doing in this neighborhood but the food IS worth it. They serve some pretty damn good Lengua tacos here. And they load them up! The beef nachoes are amazing, no no not your typical American bar food cheddar; they use Mexican cheese which even after cooling down still stretches and is just omg. The chef of this place feeds you like he feeds his kids. He didn't speak much English but was very nice. The homemade sauces here are dank! I tried not to take too many. For less than 16$ we got 6 tacos and nachoes. Run down: get tacos, get nachoes.

Disappointing pollo asada.

Pollo asado. $12.99. Absolutely not worth it. Their other food has been decent. But this was some of the worst "chicken" I've ever had. Thinner & tougher than shoe leather. Super disappointing. Their pollo chimichanga for $7.99 was terrific. And my son liked his torta.

The best taco salad hands down that I have ever had . I recommend this place if you want some amazing Mexican food .

Burrito plate (carnitas) & Taco plate (pastor)

I've been reluctant to try any mexican food up here since moving from Texas. But thank GOODNESS we stopped by. It's a small, but quaint & cozy, hole in the wall taqueria with pastor & carnitas so delicious, you'll hear canción ranchera. Even the salsa was off the chain! Prices are perfect, service was so fast & friendly, & you know I always love that small-business taqueria vibe. Wash it down with a cold Jarritos, & you'll forget you're in the PNW. I'm elated to have a new Mexican food hookup at Antojitos!

9. Big Burrito Plate and 15. Tacos Mexicanos
Kiandra C.

I got the 9. Big Burrito Plate with asada and 15. Tacos Mexicanos in carnitas and shedded beef. I've ordered from here on UberEats ~5 times now and I've never had any order or quality issues. This is definitely in my top 3 Mexican places! Their rice is so good, and I usually pass on rice. The beans are perfectly seasoned also! The meat is never dry or overly chewy. I recommend you try the food!

Stuffed burrito. Lots of meat. Steak was seasoned well. Guacamole sauce is tasty. Red sauce was ok. Will order from again.

It is the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable settling into. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, and the service was genuinely great throughout. We ordered the Quekas with vegan chorizo and black beans and they were SO good, honestly a standout. The chips and guac were also a hit, and I loved that the guac was actually cold. Such a small detail that makes a big difference. The Citrus Salad was super fresh, crisp, and delicious, which balanced everything out perfectly. I also tried the NA classic margarita and it was so refreshing. I loved the subtle touch of orange juice. Overall, such a lovely spot with amazing food, great vibes, and thoughtful details. I will definitely be back!

Today my wife and I enjoyed scrumptious Tacotes, one chicken and one Bok Choy with house made salsa. Also, the Tetela de Requeson, maiz, beans and sprouting broccoli with a house made requeson - kind of like ricotta cheese - very beautifully plated and so delicious. Extra side of yummy and creamy black bean frijoles with sour cream, butter, tortillas. Instead of desert, the Mezcal, chile and lime was refreshing. Right now open for lunch Thursday through Sunday 10-3pm. No fixed menu, changes with what's fresh - the way chef Angel loves to cook respecting what is in season. Service and ambiance is friendly and knowledgeable about the food and its origin - another reason I love dining here so I learn about what I'm eating and how it was inspired. Yes, the food plated looks so good, I am inspired to dig in. There's a reason it was recognized early in its start by Eater, Portland Monthly and the Oregonian as one of the best restaurants in the city because foodies seek out and love to go where the food experience is special - especially the chef tasting menus in the past. Now I'm watchful and ready to go back and see what the chef Angel is serving up. What else is so special is Republica was a James Beard award nominee too!

I was excited to go here as I had been meaning to visit for at least 6 months. I wasn't disappointed. This taqueria is the real deal, and very authentic. I also appreciate it's LGBTQ owned, and like to be inclusive in how I spend money. The tacos are amazing I had two there, and took two home. They were all delicious and not one disappointed. Their taco menu is very extensive, and it's nice that they have a lot of vegetarian options as well. One of my favorites was the one with mole ,and poblanos, also the chicken one, also the carnitas. Flavors so rich and satisfying. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. Extremely quick service which I love. Even though I only speak a little bit of Spanish. I tried, and they were very welcoming. They are fluent in Spanish. I knew it was an authentic taqueria when I heard a native spanish speaker speak Spanish at the counter. I don't want to leave out their drinks as they have quite a selection both alcoholic, and non alcoholic. I tried the horchata, which was amazing. I have been craving Pozole for a long time, and they had it as a special chicken with green sauce, and pork and a red sauce. Both simply amazing and a great deal. This restaurant is very reasonable, and you get quite a lot for the money. Last but not least I can't forget the ambiance which felt very authentic, and reminded me of being in a Taqueria in Mexico or Southern California. the place is decorated very thoughtful with a lot of candles, and many shrines. They also have a love of Mariah Carey and saw many photos of here in the restaurant. They have both outdoor seating and indoor seating. A lot of plants outside which all seem very happy and well cared for. I love this place, and will be going back for sure. The place is very casual which I appreciate. By the time we left around 6 PM, the dinner rush had started and a line was forming at the door. The interior is well decorated, modern, and clean. The server was friendly and service was fast. We ordered the bowl, one with carnitas and other with avocado. Both were very tasty! You can tell that the ingredients were fresh, the carnitas were tender and well seasoned. They also had a mango hot sauce brought to the table in a bottle that is amazing. I drenched my bowl with the sauce for the extra kick and flavor. The bowls are very filling. We ended up boxing up half of our food to bring home and finish for a late dinner. Would definitely come again and try their hot sandwiches. Will have to look into whether they sell their mango hot sauce separately as well. I'd buy a bottle!

Not one of them has disappointed but if I had to choose a favorite it would be the Ahogada which is perfectly balanced juicy rich and deeply flavorful every single time. I have had some meals at the bar where the bartenders were genuinely engaged knowledgeable and happy to walk you through their agave list which only enhances the whole experience. I will be honest and say that the service can sometimes lean into the typical Portland vibe of aloof and uninterested but there have also been moments especially at the bar where the staff really shines and makes you feel welcome and taken care of. Even with that quirk the overall experience is fantastic and it does nothing to take away from how much I enjoy eating here.
