I normally use the amazing Broadway Dry Cleaners in Crouch End, which are brilliant. However as I was in Muswell Hill I dropped off my 5 items and agreed to collect them 4 days later (they can't do cleaning quickly) - and arrived to collect them and they were not there. Then I came again, still not there, then I arrived 3 days later (so a week and a bit after leaving them) and I was given 3 items and they'd lost 2 pieces - that they would deliver it the next day, Nothing came. I then chased them for a further 4 days (so now 2 weeks later). I still am without those 2 last items and it's absolutely ridiculous. I would never ever use them again, and if they have lost my clothes, I shall be claiming for them through small claims court.

It was about a 45min trip by subway and bus from London but easy and worth it. Beautiful cemetery! Now keep in mind, we only went to half of it, the West I believe, and I do have to say I'm REALLY bummed we didn't get to go to the other side where the pictures seem to show EXTRA impressive gravesites and mossileums... you could only visit that side if on a tour and unfortunately our timetable did not allow that. Still, it was beautiful and peaceful and very interesting!

I'm a big statue fan, and this is honestly one of the most well made statues I have ever seen. It's a thing of beauty to behold. As for the cometary itself, it's an old one and has many tombstones that have been around for over a hundred years. It can be creepy, if you get creeped out easily. Still, I enjoyed it, and really enjoyed the the Karl Marx tomb.

In fact, I was quite satisfied with the alteration and particularly liked how the owner counseled me on what method would yield the best results. On another occasion I came here to have my bespoke-tailored Indian wedding outfit dry cleaned. The store owner warned me that since it didn't contain a label of cleaning-instructions, he could not guarantee that dry-cleaning would be the correct procedure...but he said that the fabric seemed to call for this cleaning-method nevertheless. In the end, it all turned out fine. However, I was not happy that he charged me for this unusual outfit twice the price than for a normal suit. Oh well... Also, I like the fact that the tailor is working right there in the shopwindow! That makes the work so much more authentic and hands-on.

Yet the woman opened the locked door to tell me "that was a long time ago" and now they close at 9:30pm- the exact time I was there to dry my clothes. Although other people were inside using the washers and dryers, the woman told me despite what the signage said she "had to turn off the machines now," and that I could not simply dry the clothes I'd come with. I was excited about this place as I live up the street, but I only have a washer and not a dryer in my flat. I will happily take my business to Bubbles on Malden Road. While they close earlier than this laundromat, they keep the hours they advertise.
