My husband found this awesome spot while looking for a place to stay on our way from Milan to Ravenna to catch a cruise ship after getting into Italy. Bagnacavallo is conveniently located near a train station, so transportation was a snap. There is a walk along a path from the train station to the hotel, but it's not long and it is safe. In fact, walking and biking are very very common modes of transportation in the small town of Bagnacavello! We hadn't even checked about AC in the hotel. MANY buildings in Italy don't allow AC, especially if they are historic locations. We just didn't know that beforehand, and we were very hot from a long day's travel. The staff was kind to provide an extra floor fan in our room for the night so we could cool down. We had a family suite that included 4 bunk beds for the kids and a double for us. Very spacious!!! In the morning, breakfast was prepared and ready to go. There was a table for common dining. We chose to take our plates out to the courtyard and eat there. Antico Convento is conveniently located so that you could walk just about everywhere in town! There are maps at the front, and we highly recommend that you stop in at the city museum to get some history under your belt while you're in town! :) read more
