Not bad! Took a drive over to Anthony's and picked up a nice load of wood for $25. He operates out of a parking lot for trucks (yes, it is like a run down yard, as most of the businesses down here near the port are). Give him a call. He offers wood at a pretty competitive price. It seems to burn pretty well. His prices are $250 for a cord, $125 for a half cord and $65 for a quarter cord. That's a pretty fair price. You might be able to find prices cheaper, but, his wood is delivered and split. For those who don't know a lot about firewood, a cord is 4 foot x 4 foot x 8 foot (128 square feet) -- a LOT of wood, basically.
I think it's a good price and service, seeing as though the wood is trucked in from out in the valley and made available to Long Beach residents, and if you live in Long Beach, you know it's a concrete jungle with no trees.
I would recommend this guy for quick, reasonably priced firewood in the LBC. read more
