    $90 Hybrid gel mani didn't last a day.

    I had a $90 hybrid gel manicure at the Anthony Vince salon in the Easton Shopping Center, which is a touristy area surrounded by hotels. Within just 19 hours, two of my nails completely came off. I called to explain that I live five hours away, so returning for a redo wasn't an option. I mentioned I would be back in the area in 10 days to pick up my daughter from college and would be open to accepting a credit for another manicure. Instead, I was offered a partial credit for just the two nails! It was a ridiculous non-solution. Now, I have to get a complete polish change at my local salon. I was repeatedly told this was company policy, and when I asked to speak to someone else, I was directed to contact corporate--except they didn't even have the contact information for their own company. Very disappointing experience!

    I came here with a party of 5 to get our nails done for a graduation. The location and convenience for a group seemed ideal. The tech who did my nails was terrible. He removed my gel nail color by picking it off using a cuticle remover and when I asked him to please not do that because it would ruin my nails, he became rude and rough with my hands. He was so rough that at one point I had to pull my hands away and tell him not be rough. (Yes, I raised my voice) He didn't perform a manicure as requested and ultimately did a horrible job with the actual nail polish. I requested French manicure with regular nail polish. The establishment did not charge me for the manicure itself once I showed them the final result (after they fully dried), but I did have to pay $25 for gel polish removal and a "change of polish. See the picture attached and judge for yourself. I will be going to another salon to have a real manicure done. The location is very deceptive. Do not go to this salon.

    Okay, I don't normally post reviews but this place is so TERRIBLE I thought people should be warned. I went in to have my gel polish removed; a simple soak off. Right? WRONG! The technician tapped on my hands rather than speak to me. It was rude. Just "tap tap" which meant I was to read her mind. She and the others were speaking their native language but wouldn't speak to me. Just tap on me and grunt. When the technician felt she was done with me, she said "go wash" and directed me to the back. I washed my hands and returned to her station since I clearly still had gel polish on my nails. To my SHOCK AND DISAPPOINTMENT, the technician had left my purse and phone at her station unattended. She was gone. A male came from the front and advised he was ready to cash me out. I followed him to the front and showed him my nails. "There's still polish on my nails", I said and showed him. He went to the back and got the female technician. She had a nail file in her hand. Again, I was SHOCKED as she angrily started hacking at my hand right there in the lobby! She didn't even take me back to her station. She sawed and hacked a few times before giving up. "It unda". I asked her what she meant, she said "it unda nail" suggesting the polish was on the back of my nail. Well, that wasn't true at all...besides, if it were on the underside, they did it! Anyway, she dismissed me and left gel all around the edge of every nail. She left me standing there unhappy in the lobby. Pretty sure the front desk guy could tell I was pissed because he offered me some garbage VIP punch card?! Are you kidding me? I ended up going somewhere else and yes, they confirmed the polish was on the nail surface not "unda". That place is horrible and the employees are rude as heck. I took pics immediately after I walked out. Yellow gel polish still there. I had to get my nails done elsewhere but the damage from that technician at Anthony Vince was so bad, I had to get them all cut short and start over. (BTW, the new place that fixed my nails and got rid of the old gel 5 star review!) Kudos to Lacquer by Liz for being so kind and professional!

    Where do u start! I come here regularly! Very frequently! Today was much different! Today I took my daughter (for the first time) and was forced to cash out before my polish was on our toes @ 7:17pm! I asked him to come back because I wanted to be sure we were satisfied! He came back a few minutes later! They close at 8! Our service was very dissatisfying! The margarita taste like "popsicle juice"! The person cashing out and making drinks has an allergic reaction/ a rash all over his face and arms! He should not be making drinks for starters because he is making drinks and cashing out without washing his hands! I've been coming here for years and never experienced anything like I did today! Also the ladies that did our nails talking to themselves more than us! Hardly said anything to us! Cut my nails too short! The vibe was completely off. The person that did my nails must of been new! I've never seen her before! Terrible at polishing it looks like my 8 year old neice did my nails! They sat new customers down to do a pedicure at 7:46pm so unsure why I was forced to pay! Spoke with someone named Mike whom said he was the manager and didn't value what I had to say! Said my nails would be fixed but walked off! I will go to other locations! Tony and Tina are awesome! But I do not recommend going on Saturdays at 6:30pm although there were hardly any customers! And some chairs need to be repaired. Someone sat in the chair posted to get their pedicure while we were there! I seen Tony on the way out! Made my day better!

    I've been going to get my nails done by Coke for a year now and she never fails to give me the best nails ever. She is so precise and creative with what she does and always makes me feel comfortable. If you are going to Anthony Vince in Easton ask for Coke to do your nails!!!!

    Went for a pedicure with a scheduled appointment. Stood in line for a few minutes then was told to sign in. Was told they were running behind and it would be 35minute wait. I have been to other Anthony Vince and a with appointment never waited. This is unacceptable and I will not be back to the Easton location! Also, the lady in front of me checking in was told the same thing and she had a appointment. She said this happened the last time she came here and said she would come back if she was guaranteed that at the rescheduled 3pm appointment she wouldn't have to wait....good luck with that!

    Super disappointed with this location. I normally go to the Lane Ave location and always have great service. I had an appointment for two signature pedicures. We went in, were seated, but were very rushed to pick a color. They had us sit down and then pick a color, even though we had arrived to the appointment early. The girl was doing my toes super fast. The appointment was at 4:15, and I was done at 4:42. When she asked if they looked okay, I told her to fix some areas. She hesitated and told me that's how it's supposed to be. Nail polish should not be on my skin. She was annoyed when I asked her to fix it and once again said it was the shimmer and my point of view. It looks like I painted them myself. I will not be coming back here and do not recommend it. With all the other nail spas around, skip this place.

    Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Repeated Policy Violations and Unprofessional Conduct…read moreLocation: European Wax Center - Easton To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my concern and disappointment regarding repeated unprofessional experiences at the European Wax Center location in Easton. These incidents demonstrate a pattern of behavior that is inconsistent with your company's stated policies and expected standards of customer service. Incident 1 - on 1/3/26 : Denial of Service Within the Grace Period On my most recent visit, I arrived four (4) minutes late for my appointment. According to European Wax Center's clearly stated policy, clients are allowed a nine (9) minute grace period. Despite being well within this timeframe, I was informed by two front desk staff members that my wax specialist had decided not to take me back and that I would need to reschedule. This was presented to me as a discretionary decision rather than a policy-based one. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location, which suggests a recurring disregard for corporate policy rather than an isolated misunderstanding. Incident 2 - Closure Without Proper Notice (12/22/25) On December 22, 2025, I arrived for a scheduled appointment only to find the salon completely unattended. The doors were locked, and no staff were present. A handwritten note was posted stating that the salon was closed due to a fire, along with a non-working phone number. There was no advance notification, no follow-up communication, and no legitimate way to verify or address the situation at the time. This lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability is unacceptable for a national brand. Ongoing Pattern of Poor Management The Easton location has developed a notoriously poor reputation for this type of conduct, impacting numerous customers--not just myself. Repeated cancellations, selective enforcement of policies, and lack of basic customer communication raise serious concerns about management oversight and franchise compliance. Unfortunately, these practices help explain why so many European Wax Center locations are reportedly struggling or closing. I am requesting that corporate leadership: 1. Investigate the Easton location's management and policy enforcement 2. Ensure that corporate grace-period policies are consistently honored 3. Address the lack of communication and accountability demonstrated on 12/22/25 4. Provide a formal response outlining corrective actions I chose European Wax Center expecting consistency, professionalism, and respect for published policies.     This location is a prime example of why EWC is closing so many of its locations doors…read more Called to inform I'd be FIVE minutes late because of an accident my pet had. The lady on the phone said that wouldn't work, and she'd have to reschedule me if I showed up 5 minutes late. (Newsflash! Your own company website says you allow a nine minute grace period. Doctor's offices even allow a 10-15 minute grace period.) Not to mention her rude tone like I was some sort of inconvenience to her day on the phone. So- I arrive with a minute to spare- had to HAUL over there. When I step in the doors, no "hello!"- just 8 staff members standing behind the counter staring directly at me. It was uncanny. I walk up, get checked in and my waxer comes out to take me back. My waxer was nice- however the pushy-ness of these people is insane. Every conversation topic led back to something like "this is why you should buy our -- & ----!" And that is SO annoying. No, I don't want to buy your $60 "hair growth minimizer", no matter how many times you tell me it's going to give me "amazing" results. Have you guys ever considered some clients CANT use these products? Probably not, since it doesn't seem like you don't care about your customers at all. After my wax, (which was speedy & fine,) I went to get checked out. Then I had to listen to the 10 minute speech on their packages worth $500-$800. ‍ This EWC has made me decide I will NEVER support their company again. Will only be using private waxers from now on.

It would be nice if the room was a little more soundproofed or located further back in the building away from the road; I could hear lunch hour traffic rushing by on the street about 20 yd away. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work. Me having slightly arthritic hands, I greatly appreciate her stamina! I left the appointment, amazed with an amount of flexibility in my neck and shoulders I haven't felt in probably 10 years. My 82 yo mom loves it here, too. There's a plethora of skilled service providers and lots of face, body, general wellness treatments to choose from.

Whenever i get a mani here, I never have to worry that my nails won't last for the full four weeks until I'm back. I have found that the few times I've strayed from coming here, my nails chip, get cracked and don't last nearly as long! I tend to go here every four weeks or so to get my nails done. The techs are very friendly and at this point know me by name. They have soooo many gel color options. I oftentimes find it difficult to choose between all the colors! I personally have never had an issue here regardless of who my nail tech is. I've also gotten pedicures and find those to be enjoyable as well. Many times, I will ask them to do the gel color on my toes so that it stays longer. All in all, I highly recommend Avalon as an excellent salon for your next mani/pedi. They are the best!

I didn't select this Columbus area Benefit Brow Bar for any reason other than it is closest to my house and I don't love Ulta (a different review for a different time). This one is located at the Benefit Cosmetics counter in Macy's. I did a walk in and was told to come back in an hour. They were having an event and asked if I wanted them to do a mini makeover. I said "No Thanks" and went and shopped. I came back a little less than an hour later, was told to wait 15 more minutes, and when I came back, the brow artist was just finishing up a client. The longish wait explains my docking 1 star...luckily there's lots to do in Easton to entertain yourself. My brow artist, at least that is what I'm calling the person who makes art out of eyebrows, was Hillary, who apologized for the long wait and had me sit on a regular bar stool type thing. The stool is a source of some awkwardness, in that you have to spread your legs for the brow artist to access your face. She noticed I don't fill in my brows, I mentioned that I'd like to learn and she patiently taught me how to shape and fill in my brows using the Benefit products, asked if I liked the shape and if it was something I thought I could maintain, then said she was going to remove all the hair not included in the shape. You can indicate whether you want a tweeze or a wax. She also offered to do my lip--which I declined--stunned. (Sweet Mother of Pearl I hope I don't need a lip wax. Since when do I need a lip wax? I'm not lettin' wax near my lip until I look like Borat.) ANYWAYS, Waxing really irritates my skin and she said she didn't have a lot to remove, so I chose a tweeze even though it was 2 or 3 dollars more than wax. There was no pressure, Hillary didn't seem to care one way or the other. Hillary then really, really quickly and painlessly removed all the unshapely hair and smoothed out my brows with a brow comb or a spoolie or something. She had me check in a hand mirror multiple times during my visit so I could see what was going on. It's not a "spa" experience, it's like getting a makeover or a haircut. We chatted most of the time, and she did try to sell me Benefit products, their new skin care line was just released, and I felt under the gun, but once I said "no thanks" the pressure was off re: skin care. Though, there was enormous pressure to buy the brow product kit. When I finally saw my finished brows in the mirror I thought they looked really really dark and scary. Like Cruella DeVil. I was actually a little sad. I even said, "Wow, they look so dark." Hillary said "I know, I know, it takes some getting used to." I was thinking "Yeah Yeah whatever." I bought the Brows-a-go-go kit (fully expecting to return it later) paid for my service, made my next appointment (which I intended to cancel) and left. There was an option for a cash tip but I didn't have cash and I was feeling a little bad about buying the darn brow kit so I didn't run to an ATM or anything. Then, I went out to my car and saw myself in my visor mirror while I was putting lip gloss on (still parked). Honestly, I was stunned. I still can't believe how different my face looks. I think it looks like I got an eye lift. I love it. Now, I have every intention of keeping up the look with my Brows-a-go-go kit and keeping my appointment with Hillary. Moral of the story: If you have shapeless, sparse, or otherwise unfortunate brows, find yourself a Benefit Brow Bar.

I did go back and Courtney did redeem herself. She did a great job and finished up tweezing the strays. I really appreciate Melissa reaching out. Will definitely go back.
