Obviously some might be disappointed, but the name of the place should give it away. Had taco and beef enchiladas both exactly what I wanted. Rice and beans were also spot on. Service was very good. Chips out right away. Water was refilled quickly. What keeps this from 5 star in my book was price. Just myself with water including tip was $27.00. It just makes it so I probably will only go a couple times a year as opposed to once a month. But I will be back

I will say the menu is hard to read. The small cursive font descriptions and prices with a shaded background made it a challenge even with reader glasses.

Let's just say I was hangry when I arrived and I was super excited to see they were offering a limited menu due to RAGBRAI and that they were churning out orders FAST. I went with three tacos - one of each offering - and they were all delicious. My favorite was definitely the steak and bacon taco, but I would 100 percent eat this exact meal again and again if I lived in Denison. If you happen to be passing through (or, perhaps you're local and looking to try out a new spot) El Paisano is a gem and totally worth it. Cheers to supporting local businesses!

Pupusas (pork and queso) - 4/5 It was favorful, but it was pretty greasy. Queso and the pork are on point Camarones a la Mexicana - 3/5 Shrimp plate with rice, beans, and salad, which was a bit too salty. Portion was massive, so I was only able to finish half the plate during my sitting. The shrimp was overcooked and whatever way they filleted the shrimp in the beginning made it messy and difficult to peel the shell off. Overall flavor though was pretty decent and could have been better if it wasn't so salty. If I could give the place 3.5 I would since it's better than 3, but not quite a 4 for me.
