Within just a few days, they had someone on my roof performing a thorough inspection. My roof was nearly 30 years old, had multiple leaks, and several other issues. They walked me through everything they found, explained exactly how they planned to fix it, and answered every question I had. They are licensed, insured, and the roof comes with an extensive warranty. Citlaly arrived with samples of different roofing materials, colors, and underlayments. She was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the differences between each option so I could make an informed decision. Everyone I dealt with was warm, professional, courteous, and genuinely pleasant. At no point did I ever feel pressured or rushed into making a decision. That same day, they provided me with an extremely detailed, itemized estimate outlining every aspect of the project. The pricing was very fair, and the scope of work actually exceeded my expectations. The only unknown was the amount of wood that might need to be replaced once the old roof was removed, which they explained upfront because it couldn't be determined beforehand. The entire process was incredibly convenient. All of the paperwork was handled electronically through e-signatures, making everything quick and easy. Once I approved the estimate, they had a crew on my roof within two weeks. The crew was phenomenal. They arrived on time every morning, worked incredibly hard throughout the day, and were always friendly and respectful. They would even smile and wave as I took my dogs outside. They were efficient, organized, and it was obvious they knew exactly what they were doing. I work during the day, so they completed everything while I was gone. Every evening when I came home, the job site was spotless. Not just "picked up," it was immaculate. My driveway and backyard were actually cleaner than they were before the project started. One thing that really impressed me involved my security camera system. I had installed it myself, and the wiring was honestly a mess, with cables running across the roof and cameras mounted to the fascia boards. I fully expected them to ask me to remove everything or charge me extra to deal with it. Instead, they never even brought it up. They carefully worked around every wire, temporarily moved what they needed to, put everything back exactly where it belonged, and never charged me a penny extra. It was actually much neater when they finished. When they removed the old roof, they discovered quite a bit of dry rot. It looked to me like they replaced a significant amount of fascia and damaged wood. I was preparing myself for a surprise bill of $1,000 to $2,000 or more. Instead, they charged me exactly what they originally quoted, plus only $500 for all of the additional wood replacement, labor and painting which took them almost a full day. Another pleasant surprise was that they didn't ask for a deposit. I didn't pay a single dollar until the entire project was finished and I was satisfied with the work. They simply texted me a secure online payment link where I could pay by bank transfer or credit card. They even absorbed the credit card processing fee, which is almost unheard of on a project this size. Most importantly, the finished roof looks absolutely beautiful. I'm not a roofing expert, but I know quality craftsmanship when I see it. Everything is straight, clean, and perfectly aligned. The drip edge, flashing, corners, and overall attention to detail are outstanding. JV Roofing should be extremely proud of both their employees and the way they run their business. They are honest, fair, hardworking, and clearly take tremendous pride in their work. JV Roofing completely earned my trust. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone needing a new roof. Jason's cash was waiting...he just wasn't willing to show up for the work to collect it.) ORIGINAL REVIEW: Their communication system sucks (no actual call - just e-mail) and they didn't show for the final job. Just ghosted me! Bummer since I took a day off work to be here for them. If you want good communication and folks who show up, not this one. (I'm still waiting to hear back from them after they failed to show four days ago. They aren't answering e-mails.) So here's the story: I contacted Page Roofing after we detected a leak the last week of December. They showed up to check it out the first week of January. The crew of two was fast, efficient, documented their find, even made one quick, immediate, five-minute fix before heading back to the office to formulate their bid for more extensive work. Bid seemed high, but Jason worked on their transportation/fuel fee to help reduce it slightly. We bit the bullet and commmitted to being here. He sent a contract to be signed, but it didn't have a single date. Rather, it offered a window. I told Jason (see attached image) that I wasn't available for a window, so wouldn't sign contract stating such flexible work. He responded that they'd be here on set date, but never changed the contract, so of course I didn't sign it. They said they'd be here. Didn't show. Didn't respond that morning to contacts (made via e-mail). Entirely unprofessional. So...I'm out a day's income, the roof still isn't patched up, and I have to start over again (with a different, hopefully more professional company). UPDATE ONE: I just looked up their license via state licensing board. Should have done THIS research before. (Will do here forward.) The salesman, Jeff was extremely helpful and communicative in explaining to me our roofing options (needing replacement due to the prior roof's age) and the solar system we would need to minimize any future payments to PGE as well as obtaining tax credits and rebates. We had a complication in that we were in the process of purchasing the house and the purchase was not set to go final until early-mid December 2025. Also, the holidays. Axiom staff stepped up big time. Even though they had other projects in the works, they squeezed us in. These complications required continuous coordination between Axiom representatives with the prior home owner (who was still occupying the house), and separately me because the prior owner's agent made it clear that the sellers and buyers (me) were not to directly communicate. In other words, Axiom had to work this project with two "owners" of the house, owners that were instructed to not talk to each other. As I was a "newbie" to solar I had lots of questions (and a desire for perfection). Clay and Justin were extremely patient with me every time I emailed, called, texted or visited their shop (to drop off payments) to coordinate the work, and for them to explain exactly what was being installed and all the installation steps that were being taken. I especially want to call out Justin and Sean for making sure we got the system hooked up as quickly as possible to PGE to export energy to the grid. Sean came by twice after the installation was complete, first to ensure PGE would bless the hookup and second to walk me through the system and show me how to work the App. The roof looks great and the system is working great. I strongly recommend these folks for roofing and solar system installations.

However, less than two years after the first repair, the roof began leaking again in the exact area they had previously worked on. I contacted Andrew multiple times by phone and text message, but he never responded. As the leak worsened - becoming more severe than the original issue - I also sent emails and called the business line, yet received no return calls or responses of any kind. After exhausting all attempts to reach B & R Roofing, I hired another roofing company to repair the issue. That company documented B & R Roofing's prior work and confirmed that the repairs were incomplete. Specifically, B & R Roofing only patched a very small section where the leak was visible and did not replace the roof underlayment, despite quoting and accepting payment for that work. After reviewing other customer feedback, it is clear this is a pattern in how B & R Roofing operates. I strongly recommend that potential customers carefully consider their business practices before hiring them. I will also be filing a formal complaint with the Santa Barbara Contractors Board
