WARNING --- BEWARE. Do not go into surgery with Dr Anthony Bittar. He disfigured and deformed my nose by using outdated methods and making changes while I was unconscious that were not agree to. SEE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS In 2024 I contacted Dr Anthony Bittar to repair a deviated septum so I could breath properly internally through my nose. A very simple procedure. He made a comment in our meeting "do you want me to remove the bump on your nose's bridge at the same time. Just to make it flat" That is all that was ever mentioned. "I will just slightly shave down that bump at the same time". He made it sound like nothing. I came out of surgery and he had completely changed the size and shape of my nose. He assured me it was just swelling and that would go down. After having 3 different respected surgeons inspect what he did. They all were shocked at his work and what he did without prior approval. 1) He excessively flattened the dorsum (bridge of the nose), resulting in an unnatural and concave profile. 2) He added cartilage to the tip of my nose--an unrequested change he later admitted to--which created a permanent large, bulbous appearance. 3) He significantly altered the overall size and structure of my nose All these things were decisions he made without my consent. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN Read his reviews by sorting them by 1 star and believe them. He subsequently offered to 1) refund me half of my money 2) do the operation again and 3) install semi permanent filler in my nose. Total admission of guilt. All I refused. How could I ever trust him again. Once you are on the operating table he does what he likes. None of the above was ever agreed to. The whole time he gas lights with all his communication. I now have to go through the expense and pain of having surgery again to fix his horrible horrible work. Doctor Bittar is such an amazing doctor. I came into his office because I was having difficulty breathing out of my right nostril. He told me that I did in fact have a deviated septum and the best option would be surgery. As he is also a plastic surgeon, I decided to make a few very minor changes to my nose. I did like my natural nose but I had a very slight hump, uneven nostrils, and I wanted a more defined tip, but I still wanted it to look like my nose, just a little bit cuter. I had my initial appointment with him back in October and I waited to get my surgery until January. I went back in one more time a week before my surgery just to go over the changes I wanted cosmetically and he had the perfect plan. At that appointment, he took away all of my anxiety regarding the surgery. The surgery itself went incredibly well and everyone at the hospital was so sweet. The recovery was difficult for the first few days, but that was to be expect. I'm now three weeks post-op and I'm definitely still swollen and my nose is still pretty sensitive, but I already love my nose so much!! I can't wait to see how it looks when I'm six months post-op. After a ultrasound findings of possible thyroid cancer. I was on the hunt for a good ENT. Little did I know I wouldn't find a ENT in my hometown of San Antonio. I decided to look in Austin. A true blessing in Disguise Dr.Bittar is beyond 5 stars. He makes you feel comfortable and reassures that your going to be ok with his knowledge and experience. After reviewing my ultrasound we decided to bypass the biopsy and schedule surgery for removal of tumors on thyroid, I'm thankful we went that route bc it was cancerous. Dr. Bittar said my septum was seriously deviated and advised a septoplasty. I'd never had significant issues but the promise of better breathing made me believe I didn't know how bad I had it. The recovery for this is much worse than I was led to believe. After recovering, I realized that there was no difference and I am reasonably certain that this op was completely unnecessary. 8 months post op. I feel pressure in my nose that I thought would go away in time but after 8 months, I decide to follow up. He agrees that this shouldn't last more than 3 months but otherwise is dismissive. Some quotes from Dr. Bittar: "Maybe you are thinking of your nose too much" "Try not to think about your nose so much" "I've done over 6,000 of these" I was polite and patient but no matter my inquiry, Dr. Bittar seemed convinced that I was making up symptoms. I will find another ENT rather than argue with a doc that isn't willing or capable of dealing with something unexpected. This guy is a complete clown. I went in for a simple sinus scoping/annual checkup from a sinus surgery I had through the VA in 2019. All I wanted was my annual scoping procedure to make sure there were no polyps coming back, pretty simple. This guy shows up in a covid face diaper and rubber gloves, the same rubber gloves he was wearing from the last patient! He asked me a ton of irrelevant questions and kept pressing me on allergy shots. I told him repeatedly that I'm not interested in allergy shots and don't need them. He took forever to finally do the scope in my sinuses then after telling me everything looks good in my sinuses he insisted I needed a CT scan. He also told me I have a deviated septum and they should have fixed it in my last surgery. Wrong, I had it fixed and it's fine. I went for a checkup with a one of the top ENTs in central Texas a year ago when I had private insurance and he said everything was fine, they did a great job and I didn't need a CT scan. This dork then insisted that the CT scan the VA originally gave me wasn't as good as what he could do. He has no idea where I got the CT scan, what equipment was used, or who did the surgery. I had it done at UCSD medical center in San Diego, which is attached to the VA. My surgeon is one of the top ENT surgeons in all of Southern California, and the equipment they used was stat of the art, so I'm pretty sure I trust my surgeon over some whack job who runs his practice out of the same office where they do botox injections. All his office equipment was older than he is and when he removed the scope from my sinuses, he didn't even sterilize it with alcohol, just rubbed some soap and cold water on it for about ten seconds and called it a day. Between that and not changing his gloves between patients, I don't know how this guy hasn't been sued. Maybe he has been sued. When I told him I didn't want the CT scan, he rudely questioned me and I said "I don't want it, because I'm not having any symptoms and the scope looks fine, I don't think it's necessary." He then condescendingly replied "oh, so you're the doctor now huh?" No, I'm the patient and if I don't think a CT scan is necessary, then I'm not getting one. I do not trust Dr. Bittar, and would not recommend him to anyone. The procedure he performed reduced my quality of life, and cost me a lot of money and pain afterwards. After struggling with allergies for a good part of my life, I was desperate. Dr. Bittar made it seem like a septoplasty/turbinate reduction would change my life. He made it seem easy. Well, I got the procedure, and it didn't go well. I had stints in my nose for weeks. It was hard to breathe or sleep. When they finally came out, I followed up weeks later. I still was not breathing well out of my right nostril. Dr. Bittar told me that some people just don't breathe well out of one nostril. It was natural. No, Dr. Bittar. It was INFECTED. The surgery that YOU CONDUCTED left me with an infection inches away from my eyes and brain. I know this, because another doctor showed me. I could see the infection that was caused by your procedure. It has taken months to heal. I have felt worse than I did before I even had this dumb expensive surgery. Dr Bittar saved my life. Apparently I've had thyroid cancer for a number of years and none of my drs caught it even after telling them repeatedly the symptoms I've had ongoing. Well In sept a small lymph node near my thyroid began growing and was tender and I was finally referred to dr Bittar after mths of complaints. From the moment I met him I felt safe and confident in his skill and abilities. On Monday 12/27/21 dr Bittar performed surgery to remove my thyroid and the lymph nodes around it. I had a cancer tumor that had grown rapidly and surrounded my jugular and Vegas nerve which he had to cut and reattach to remove the tumor. I am in awe at how good the surgical site looks even the day after when I left hospital. I couldn't breathe well due to a previous skiing accident which broke my nose and created a deviated septum. Due to having survived septic shock 4 years earlier, it has been wreaking havoc on my organs. During surgery, Dr. Bittar discovered that all my sinuses were infected and blocked by growths. I was in surgery for 4 hours, and the operating nurse told my friend that she had never seen such extensive and excellent surgery. I went to Dr. Bittar for a rhinoplasty. During the consultation period we both agreed on a very conservative, minimal approach. I even created my own photo renderings to illustrate what I wanted. I clearly explained many times that I did not dislike my nose, and just wanted to refine it without changing it much. I told him many times I did not want a "cutesy" nose or a sky slope. I wanted to keep having a somewhat larger nose with character. I didn't want to look much different and definitely not have an obvious nose job look. The day of the surgery he did not have the photo I created as he promised he would. I made the mistake of trusting him anyway. After the bandages came off it was very clear that he did whatever the hell he wanted. My nose is now tiny, looks carved in, way too small for my face, and on some photos it looks almost non-existent. Where it looked sophisticated before, now it's a generic clearly operated-on round nose with a ski slope. When I brought this up he told I I just needed to stop thinking about my nose. I look DRAMATICALLY different from what I used to now, and I hate the way my nose makes my teeth look gigantic. Stay away. read more

I originally went to Dr Bittar's office for a quick laser treatment (done by a staff member), which was quick and went well. I had had what I thought was scar tissue on my face near my eye (from a car accident 20 years ago) and asked her if anything could be done about it. She asked Dr Bittar to take a quick look. He felt the area near my eye and told me that it was not scar tissue, but "foreign bodies" - probably glass - and should be removed. I made an appointment with him to remove them and indeed it was glass - two .5cm pieces! The procedure was a little scary because he was cutting out strong tissue that had been forming around the glass for 20 years and it was right next to my eye. But he had an assistant there to support me. She kept her hands on my leg, applying pressure during the tough parts, which was extremely comforting and reassuring. Maybe that's standard, but I really appreciated it and it made me feel safe. It's obvious that Dr Bittar is great at what he does, but he is also one of the warmest, kindest doctors I've ever been to - another reassuring thing. I could feel that he really cares about his patients. My scars are practically invisible now and it feels so good to show my whole face to the world! I'm so grateful:) read more

I came here to get Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty. First off, there was a hiccup with the total costs and when I got to the surgery center I was surprised by a bill that I was not informed of before I would have liked to know about this bill before the surgery. On the other hand as far as the actual rhinoplasty goes. I have to say he did an amazing job on the top portion of my nose. He did exactly what I asked for and was able to align my crooked nose and make it straight again and put it into place. However, I am not very happy about the lower half of my nose. The tip is waay to big and juts out and is just huge. I have this super weird look to me ever since the surgery and people have commented how I look completely different-not in a good way. Also, my smile is super jacked up. I dont know if the incision was made too close to my upper lip, but it kind of pulled to where the skin between my upper lip and nose looks super weird and my smile looks extremely strange. It really gave me this awful look that I am not happy with. A much better job could have been done in my opinion when fixing the tip of my nose. I am very unhappy with the way it looks and I look super creepy when I smile like my top lip doesnt move very well. Im into week five already and this still has not been rectified. This review will come down when something is done to correct how incredibly strange I look. I dont like my nose job at all or what its done to my overall appearance. I dont really recommend this place for Rhinoplasty. Maybe other work is fine, but maybe not a nose job. read more

I have gone to visit Micah at beau visage and she is amazing! I have had at least 5 ipl photo facials and I just got my first chemical peel. I bought my first photo facial from a Groupon which was expired, but Micah still accepted my Groupon. She told me all the things to expect from a photo facial, because I was scared, and she told me how to care for my skin after. She also spoke with me about why this would be good for my skin because I have some dark spots and hyperpigmentation. She also recommended I try a chemical peel for these same areas to try and help with them! Micah is so gentle and good with my skin, and any time I need to call and ask about anything, she calls me right back. Her name is Julee, and I go to her for laser tattoo removal. I was referred to her from Perfection Tattoo, which I've also reviewed. My objective is to get an old tattoo faded enough to tattoo over without it being an obvious cover-up job. So far, after 7 months and 5 sessions, I believe I'm almost ready for the new tattoo work. The lighter colors are the hardest to remove, so it's taking a little longer than I'd hoped, but I don't think that is Julee's fault. About Julee: She's a very friendly woman who's easy to talk to, which is good because you'll want to take your mind off the task at hand if you're under the laser. She's well familiar with tattoo removal, but also provides services in cover-up make-up and spider vein laser treatments. Actually I'm not sure what else she does, so whatever aestheticians do, I'm sure she does too. Just call her to find out. About the tattoo removal laser: Not friendly at all. In fact it's quite mean. Evil at times. But some lasers are like that. Some say it feels like being snapped repeatedly with a hot rubber band or spattered with hot grease. I say it's more like someone holding a cigarette lighter to your skin while being shot with a BB gun. Yes, I know what those 2 things feel like separately, but never before had I felt them combined into one delicious Reese's Peanut Butter Cup of pain until I started getting these treatments. If my extensive body art is any testament to my pain tolerance, then when I say 30 seconds or so at a time is all I can stand of the laser, you know it ain't no joke. The laser zaps the ink molecules and makes them explode inside your skin. That's the popping sound you'll hear. This can cause blistering. The more times you go, the more intense the laser light. I've had my little tat swell into a little pillow of blisters. So that's nice. *Results May Vary* The blisters will heal in a week or so. The ink is reabsorbed into your lymph system, unlike what I'd assumed which was that it'd peel off externally. So you're supposed to drink lots of water to flush it out. (Julee will remind you of this.) The sessions are 30 minutes long, for a fee of $75 each.
