    From scene study class

I started studying here October 2018 and highly recommend the studio. I've seen tremendous growth in my skills as an actor since and am always telling people about how much the studio has helped me understand and hone this craft that I love so much. The irony of studying "to act" is that you're really becoming more truthful and present, and not really "acting" at all. You're reacting to the situation as a real person would, just within the context of the story you're telling. Anthony's always telling us "just be a human being", and "live in the moment", sounds almost too easy right? Believe me, it's not. Anthony prepares his actors to be working professionals, which is reflected in all the classwork we do, from on set exercises to scene study to character interviews. I had never taken an acting class before joining the studio that SPECIFICALLY focuses on preparing to work in tv and film, things like knowing how to limit your movements while on camera (an especially terrible habit I had going into class was excessively touching my face or hair - something you obviously cannot do while on camera). How to move in a closeup vs a wide shot, etc. I could ramble on forever but you should just audit a class to find out for yourself, something that is free and available to everyone interested in potentially joining the studio. I like Anthony's no bullshit approach as an instructor, where he will call you out if you aren't doing the work, but also always providing constructive and specific feedback to actually help actors improve. There are other awesome instructors that I've taken classes with highly recommend too, such as Christina's yoga for actors, and Noah Baron's audition workshop (I literally booked the next commercial I auditioned for following taking this workshop last year). I also have made great industry connections with casting directors following the Biz of Acting panels offered a few times a year to studio members. Again, trying to limit my rambling... This isn't just a hobby for me. I've booked paid work and auditioned in rooms I never would have dreamed of being in prior to studying here. The investment in joining the studio was the best decision I ever made for myself towards becoming a professional working actor and storyteller.

Coach Anthony and my classmates, catch them on some of your favorite shows !

I am a current student at AGAS and have been for the past three years. I can't say enough good things about this studio, Anthony himself and the other student teachers. I've grown tremendously as an actor since being there and gained a support system that's necessary to make it in this business. As a person of color I feel seen, respected, and cared for at this studio. Anthony is a phenomenal acting coach and an even better human being. Come audit this place I promise you'll never want to leave !

The professional athlete and veteran nonprofit organization merginvetsandplayers.org worked in partnership with The Anthony Gilardi's Acting Studio's nonprofit Hippolife.org to create The Performing Arts for Military Veterans. As with anything worth doing, I was fearful, and I continue to be humbled by the opportunity and vicarious experience of grand success and failure put on display by the members of this studio...every scene. As an Iraq war combat veteran, words like camaraderie, communication, and family are uses without deliberate thought in reference to the veteran population. The core principles and values of military services, are not spoken, or written on the walls, or edged into memorials to screamed by colonizers to come. No, these binding principles and values are owned, lived. This life did not evolve by chance, it was with intention and care from the top; created. The space is a thing of beauty, located on Melrose. The Snakepit Whiskey bar is across the street, and offers members a venomous discount (Also reviewed). Parking is great, both abundant and safe. The studio was been recently remodeled. New windows cancel out noise, the chairs are comfortable, though you're always at the edge of them. Two all gender bathrooms. Kitchenette with water and fridge. There are two spaces available to rent. The On-Camera Audition Technique Class is a steal, taught by Noah Baron. I booked my first audition, trusting myself and training leading to SAG eligibility principle, from what was originally an extra role. Success is just a process, and this success is not my own, but a testament to the product available at this studio. I'm attending the next class, to do what I can to book the next job, cause you can't beat the price with a stick. Saint Anthony, dispassionate, methodical, and genuine. Bruce Lee said, there is no style, and Anthony listened. Do not be tense, but ready, and you will be, should you become a student of life. Anthony Gilardi is a professor in humanity. Anthony is present, as coach, you pay for that, but as a human, it is a gift. The only expectations he sets, are of himself. Anthony offers, what seems to be infinite knowledge and experience as a Master Carpenter, accomplished actor, writer, director, producer, and business owner to each student, tailoring each note, as a craftsman does, to build the foundation, you'll come to know, as your process. The process of presence, mindfulness of self and others, active listening, body awareness, subtext, and so it goes, are tools any builder can use in virtually any industry. The success stories can be found on the website, social media, IMDB, red carpets, and screens across the planet, Mayans to MedMen ads...and this, is just the beginning. With Love, -@bananarojo

You have brought joy to our whole family and while that sounds over the top, it's not even near it. Greatest thing we've got Alexandra maybe since she was born.
